• Word 2007 and spell check problem

  I hope that it can be to answer this question because I can't figure it out for the life of me! I have windows vista and word 2007. I noticed that sometimes when I'm using microsoft word checking spelling Auto turns automatically off. It seems to stop just check automatically, and it does not check anything even if I hit "abc" spell check button in the toolbar. When I try this, a dialog box appears and says "text marked with" do not check spelling and grammar "has been ignored.  I can't understand how to reactivate it once it is turned off.  When you open a new blank document spell check will be on, but even by copying and pasting a document that has had its spell checker turned off in a new document does not work. Help!

  Outlook Express cannot use the check spelling of MS Word in Office 2007 or newer. A free spell-checking the download is the easiest way to get around this.

  I recently bought a new computer with Windows XP. The outlook express6 does not have a spell checker. Is - this issue of standard? The company I bought it off the coast doesn't know. When I open the tab options there is no spelling tab. How to get it and install it? Or have I been sold a package that is incomplete?

  You don't need to buy an Office program.

  OE 6 doesn't come with it's own spellcheck. You need to Word or MS Office program, before 2007. The spell checker in Works 4 to 6 will work with OE, but not other editions. If you do not have such a program, you can download a free spell check to one of these sites.

• How to get spell checking to verify the entries of individual line?

  I recently had to create a new profile to resolve a problem with my old FF. But now the new profile, being new, do not check the spelling of the single line entries (as in the ' question' above.) But don't the input areas of text to spell check (like the one I'm typing right now).

  I know that there is a topic: changing the setting of configuration to get there, but I can't find it documented anywhere. Is there a topic: document config? Omitting can someone tell me what changes I need to do?

  So it should work:

  (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

  (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste SPEL and make a pause so that the list is filtered

  (3) double-click the layout.spellcheckDefault preference and change 1-2 spell check single-line controls as well as controls the multiline.

  Note: This should turn the spell checking on by default, but sites can always turn off.

• How to keep English as a default value in the spell checker after adding another dictionary?

  I added a Spanish dictionary for firefox that I sometimes email Spanish-speaking. Since then, the spell checker has stuck to Spanish language by default whenever I restart the browser.
  As soon as I select English, it remains until I close the browser. But goes back to Spanish when I open a new window.
  I tried every setting I could find, and I also tried to remove and reinstall both languages via add dictionary.
  I am at a loss. Can anyone offer some advice?

  You can check the spellchecker.dictionary pref setting on the topic: config page and if the pref tells the user the value (in bold) and then try to reset via the context menu to the default value.

• How can I activate the spell checker on Web sites?

  I tried to contact turnitin.com about why check spelling doesn't seem to work on their site. They said that is not an option for their software, and it must be a Firefox problem I see more indications of faults spelling on reviews I have type in trials. Yet, my preferences are set to have spell checker. Is there a workaround or something I should activate?

  Might have already checked, but if you right-click in the area where you want Firefox to check spelling, the context menu list "check spelling" as an option? It does not always work. Also, on some versions of Firefox, you must select the dictionary in the language on the context menu items.

  For spell checking, you can activate the right click in a text box and select check spelling, or by going to your options:

  And select "check my spelling as I type".

  In the same option screen, can you try to disable hardware acceleration and see if it causes your cursor appears? You may need to restart Firefox so that that has an effect, so be sure to save any work that you do.

  I managed to solve this problem on my end by reinstalling just firefox using the location of the language of the dictionary by default that I wanted to leave here - http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

  A shame that the main download page does not select the relevant location for you and still more for changing the default language for the spell checker built is so much kak. Well.

  After using Firefox to group every night 23 on Chakra Linux via and I think it has messed up my settings speller via Firefox sync.

  The problem of the pop-up on openSUSE and Chakra Linux but not in Kubuntu 12.04 (it has its own language packs).
  I want to have German and English GB and maybe Bosnian or Croatian spell checker, but I cannot select via right click - languages.
  Now, I have Chakra Linux and openSUSE 12.3 Firefox 20 by perhaps 30 default languages installed but I can not select the language I want.

  For example the Chakra Linux Firefox 20 I only selectable variants, German back Germans, German Belgium... and then, and I can't select another language via the module or about: config spellchecker.dictionary; so I need to edit the right click language selector to bring it to work, it stay alwas on a German Variant.

  2 example on openSUSE cannot select German and En_GB, but I can't select a bunch of other languages, that I did not need in the click languages Selector right.

  Both are Firefox 20 with openSUSE KDE changes and have installed the available spelling dictionary.

  So, how can I change the list of selectable languages on the languages right click?

  OK, this is now resolved.

  In Chakra hunspell English was missing and on openSUSE, a seller has changed of Mozilla and now it works very well.
