Spider Solitaire (spider.exe)

I am relatively computer illiterate, so please do not speak in gibberish.  I have Microsoft XP and I seem to have lost my spider solitaire game by my computer.   Any ideas as to where it might have disappeared to.  If I accidentally deleted, how can I return it?

If you have been able to help me - thanks a lot!

Kind regards

  • I accidentally sent Spider Solitaire in the trash and I can't get it back.

Spider Solitaire. I have Windows XP and when I followed the instructions to go to control panel configuration, and then click Add/Remove Windows components, and then click utility and accessories and games, it shows Spider Solitaire that verified as being installed, but it is not.  I emptied my recycle bin so it isn't here.  What can I do?

    Hello Suasarhanste.

I recommend just to create a new shortcut.  Go to C:\Windows\System32 and there you should find the actual program Spider.exe, just with the button straight on this and choose Create shortcut.  He should offer to create on the desktop, if it is not just copy it from the System32 folder and move it either on your desktop or in the Start Menu. • where can I download spider solitaire xp version

where can I find the spider solitaire game and download

If all you want is the executable for XP (spider.exe):

I downloaded a copy of XP Pro SP3 file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these two folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    c:\Windows\System32
c:\Windows\System32\dllcache (this is where XP keeps backups of important files).

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:

    http://CID-6a7e789cab1d6f39.SkyDrive.live.com/redir.aspx?RESID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311

When you see the files available for download, you will not see the extension of file (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, etc), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

Ideas: I tried to get used to the updated version, but I don't like it and I cling to the old XP computer just because I love the game.

    flyanyway,
OK, I was able to copy the spider to a XP machine and play on Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit computer.  Other than graphics, I don't really see a difference in both versions.  But if you want to try it you will need to copy the 3 files just spider from your XP machine to Windows 7 machine.  These files are Spider.exe, Spider.chm and Spider.hlp.  They must be located in C:\Windows\System32.

  • I want the old, classic Windows XP solitaire!

I've migrated to Windows 7 from XP. I don't like windows 7 version of solitaire. How can I get the old, classic solitaire that I had with windows xp?

Thank you, Bruce. But I found an answer very simple in an answer to a similar question in this forum. Since I have an XP Pro PC, I could copy the appropriate files from the folder System 32 to Windows XP on a USB and then put the files in a new folder on my Win 7 PC.

    Here are the file names:

    Cards.dll, freecell.exe, sol.exe, mshearts.exe, spider.chm, spider.exe, spider.hlp and winimine.exe.

In fact, I think that cards.dll and sol.exe would be sufficient for the other files associated with other games.

    Thanks again.

  • Installed games folder/program said now empty... he lost during the attack of virus, how can I return it?

I downloaded the codec-c plugin to watch gorillavid and it has messed up my laptop so I had to remove it and lost some programs installed with it. I tried a restore but no joy... still missing... I use WinXP Pro, IE8... Is there a link/Patch from Microsoft to download the games to my empty folder in the menu start all programs? Thanking you, yours sincerely... liam k

If you do not have the CD, you are out of luck.

However, a bit of luck could still be at your side.

If the games are on your system, you'll find some of them here:

    Reach:

    C:\Windows\System32

    Scroll down and look for:

FreeCell (freecell.exe), Hearts (mshearts.exe), Solitaire (sol.exe), Spider Solitaire (spider.exe) or on the air, and all you had. Unfortunately they are not all there.

Copy games from there and paste it into this place:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Menu Menu\Programs\Games

  • Reinstall the games using the XP Pro operating system disc.

How to use the Operating System CD to reinstall the games my question regarding relocation.  Yes, the games only.   A series of attempts to understand the simple lines in screen update led me to uninstall a certain number of items.  I lost my network connection.    I reinstalled by did not get the games.   However, my foray into this work was an attempt to reinstall just Spider Solitaire.  Now, all of the games have gone except PinBall.  I need to know the steps to install the selected items - simply games. Thank you.

Maybe it's there but missing the shortcut in the Games menu:

Click Start, select run, and type: %SystemRoot%\system32\spider.exe
(or better yet copy and paste the command in the dialog box)
If Spider Solitaire is running, then you are missing just the short cut and can easily be created.

I don't like the update Spider Solitaire in Windows 7.  Is it possible to install the version that I had in XP?

I found a way to do it myself.  I knew someone who was still using Windows XP, and with his permission, I found all the files of spiders by searching, put them on my backup stick and put the files on my computer at home.  I just put it on the desktop so it is easy to find and it works very well.  Only, I transferred the .exe file.

  • Spider Solitaire to crash

    Salvation responses

I think Spider Solitaire is originally, with increasining last, a complete Windows crash.  When you run Solitaire I find that on occasion (maybe a 10 game) the game freezes then the crash followed an issues Adviser, material or software to blue screen.  I only receive this error when reading solitaier.  Sort of, I thought it might be a problem with Vista so I've upgraded to W7 and the problem got worse in fact (crashes more frequently)

Don't know what the isssue is here and I would like some help with this.

    Thank you

    Hi CapeSableDreamer,

Do you have an error message when you encounter a blue screen?

Let us update all hardware drivers and check, then we can perform a boot minimum troubleshooting to see if another application is causing the conflict.

    Method 1.
I recommend you update all the drivers of material from the manufacturer's Web site.
For more information see the link below:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

    Method 2.
    Clean boot:
Here are the steps to do:
    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
    The user account control permission.

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load starting points.
    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
    5. click on OK.
    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If the problem is resolved to check what is the cause of the problem, referring to the link given below:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    8. in addition, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the software problem on your computer.

Reset the computer to start as usual

    9. When you have finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
    10. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue. On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

  • How to get the version of Spider Solitaire XP?

I used to sit around and play Spider Solitaire on my XP machine.  Well I got a new computer Windows 7 and the new version of Spider Solitaire sucks - say no more.  Is it possible to go back to the old version of XP that was fun to play?

    * original title - I want the XP of Spider Solitaire version, the new version sucks

I managed to get the XP of Solitaire version to play on a Windows 7 computer.
The cards.dll just put file and sol.exe in a separate folder, and you're good to go!

The version of Solitaire Windows7 is so blurred that it is unusable and gives you a headache.

  • Satellite U200: sound strange game Spider Solitaire

I just bought a U200-161. Fab small notebook sub BUT... If play you Spider Solitaire on it the sound does not work, instead of cards with a "rat-tat-tat-tat", etc. they are all face and you hear just a 'splat' on the end. I took it back to PC world that it two-way for another who was similarly... I've tried 2 others at an another PC World (Exeter) - still.

Sound is OK on all other programs except for "Skype", which is terrible. I restored using the CD but the problem is the same. Currently I have a credit score and need another note of urgency, but I hesitate to buy one that has a failure again, please help as soon as possible.

    See you soon

    Hello

It s very strange that the sound is working and it seems fine with all other applications.
Maybe the sound drivers card is damaged or is not compatible with Windows solitaire and spider games.
I recommend you visit the page of the Toshiba driver and first update the sound card driver.
