spilled water on the keyboard, the keys do not work Ideapad Z500

A few hours ago I accidentally spilled water on the keyboard of my Lenovo Z500 Touch. The PC was only going to batteries, not connected with the adapter. I cleaned the water immediately. I turned it off, only it works a few times to see if everything was ok. Now (about 6 hours of the accident) most of the keys on the keyboard do not work. I turned the pc upside, hope it's just the water left in the keys, and now I'm waiting for the water to dry.

any other advice?

tonight I'm going to disassemble the keyboard and dry it with a hair dryer, gently and slowly warming not too. I have read that it does not disturb the guarantee as tha keyboard is a modifiable element.

  • The internal keyboard BACKSPACE key does not work

    I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite and the BACKSPACE key does not work.

    And why shouldn't t someone recommends you to check the functionality using the external keyboard?

    It s recommended to connect an external keyboard to verify how the BACKSPACE key would work using 2nd external keyboard. In case the back might work properly using USB keyboard, the question is very clear; in such cases its main shortcomings. The key cannot be replaced or changed or fixed. In this case, need to replace the entire keyboard!

    In case the BACKSPACE key does not even using the external keyboard, then this would mean that the internal keyboard controller is faulty and in this case only the replacement motherboard would be useful.

    But to be honest, I think that its simple keyboard failure and a replacement would solve this.

  • Keypad on my keyboard does not work after siging on Win 7, but the keys do not work if 'Num Lock' is OFF.

    IF you are looking for this issue you may find other places where I posted questions, got some answers, tried and so far none succeeded.
    The keyboard n doesn't have this problem with my Windows XP starting and using the two USB connection and PS/2 connection with the adapter does not keys work...

  • I had a problem with my double (multiple) of the mouse clicking when I didn't, now pressing on enter a window like this will close the active window and open one of my sites of taboo, and the keys do not work.

    This happens in any text entry window, but there is no problem with Wordpad or Word, or other apps, just in Firefox. It's as if the keyboard mapping got fouled in Firefox, but I can't find where I could check what is happening.

    You may have to Navigation switched to the keyboard IT. Press on F7 (on Mac: fn + F7) to alternate power of Caret navigation

    • Click on the Firefox button, then click on Options -> advanced-> general-> remove

    Check always use the keys cursor to navigate pages

  • Chromebook: Sent someone at - it a laptop for repair because the keys were not working?

    Several keys on my keyboard do not work.  As suggested on this forum, I have powerwashed the Chromebook twice with no change in the problem.  I contacted HP and I received the box to return it for repair under warranty.  My question is this: does anyone know if I should including the adapter?  The person of tech for the repair, I talked said I shouldn't include it but said that the documents sent by the repair center to register.  I called back several times to try to get what I thought, it was a simple answer or not available.  I want not to return the adapter so I won't get it but I don't want to prevent the repair center to be able to fix the keyboard.  Thank you!

    The only time that you must include the AC adapter is when it is supposed to be a problem with this component.

    HP has all the cards for all computers, laptops, tablets and desktop computers.

  • The keys do not work

    Since last night randomly touch keys in the top row worked that is mute, pause, volume, brightness etc. I literally left my laptop and an hour later they were not working. I have a HP Envy Touchsmart Sleekbook m6 so there is no battery that I can go out to do a hard reset. I tried unplugging everything and stop the laptop and wait for one minute several times, but it is not yet no results. Any suggestions?

    To Envy 6 series, perform a hard reset as follows.

    Shut down the laptop and unplug the power adapter.

    Press in and hold the power button for 10 to 12 seconds, then release.

    Plug in the power adapter, start Notepad and check if there is no improvement.

  • Recreated Vista upgraded to 7 and the key does not work

    I upgraded my Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 Ultimate via a retail upgrade copy (2010).  I'm a redefinition now machine (should have done years ago), and the upgrade code does not work.  The product key that is listed in the properties of my system no longer.  I entered the code of Vista, but who is not recognized. I have the original paperwork, but nothing matches a key for Windows 7.  Where am I wasting?  Thank you-

    Do you mean the buttons light between the keyboard and the computer laptop screen?

    If so, they are controlled by added value package, but before you reinstall this tool, first remove the old version. Restart the computer, and then install the latest version of package of value added again.

    Everything worked fine until a few days ago the case LEFT, upward, PgDn, home, buttons Delete has stopped working.

    I tried to reinstall the drivers and even updated the BIOS, but none of them seems to work.

    What train external keyboard? He works or u didn't try? In any case to try an external keyboard if it works, then you must ship your device as I told u before the service center course that it's a hardware problem.

  • Tecra A10 - pad touch and the keys do not work on Windows 7 x 64

    We have recently done a new install of Windows 7 x 64 on a Toshiba Tecra A10.
    The operating system has taken over most of the drivers, we had to install drivers for the card reader ourselves.

    Our problem is that the touchpad and the buttons work at all.
    The driver displayed in devices such as manager being installed, but that's all. I even installed the control panel of the Alps (Vista x 64) which works very well.
    Have tried the settings "stick and touchpad are automatically invalidated" when you use an external USB mouse, all to nothing done.

    The equipment worked perfectly okay with Windows 7 32 bit installed.

    Is there a fix here?

    Maybe it of just a driver issue, I checked the downloads available for Tecra A10 on page of Toshiba and Windows 7 32 bit there is a newer driver available for Windows 7 64 bits do not (no driver). If you use the Vista 64 bit driver

    What you can do is to test the driver for the touchpad for Tecra A11. There is a version more recent for Windows 7 64 bit of Alps Electric so correct. Touchpad driver is not linked so I sure it will also work on your model of m.
