Spoiled dbf file. by what means it can be restored?

Two dbf file and also index corresponding to them, files do not open in the Visual FoxPro program. In Windows, they can be copied to the other folder, rename, delete, simply display the WinCommander F3.  The files are stored on a portable hard drive. Such an impression that during the work of the program, during the recording of the information on the disk, there is a failure at a low level. Invite, please, as (through which programs), it is possible to restore files?

I think it means that your search has shown you the content of the "C:\Windows\system.ini.  This file has been used at the time when Windows ran on top of MS-DOS and listed the drivers that were to be installed at the time of start-up.  In current versions of Windows, it controls the environment driver for legacy 16-bit applications.  Usually it is not necessary, but it is perfectly safe to have around, especially when it contains what you describe.  Who are the fairly typical system.ini file content.  FON files are CGA and EGA display fonts files, mmdrv.dll is a Media Manager for a sound card, and timer.drv is a pilot of the timer. When I open thunderbird and get connected my Email at the top of my thunderbird email address name has a Paddle lock on it. What does that mean? Can I go there? I use a VERIZON email address. On the last 2 days I did not have down load one of my incoming emails. He keeps asking me my password I type in and then he said: its incorrect. After you return my password, I get an error message says 0012 # incorrect password. Is thunderbird is or has happened since the new update for version 31.1.2? I need help.

The padlock indicates a secure server connection. You don't want to get rid of it.
Please check with Verizon if something has changed on their end.

  • What is the use of the file winsxS\Policies if we can rename or delete arbitrary?

The solution proposed by Snave_Nivek for a NET problem was:

Rename %windir%\winsxS\Policies (or remove) and then reinstall .NET.

Which will not affect other programs? What is the use of the file winsxS\Policies if we can rename or delete arbitrary?

    Hello

The point behind rename/remove the policies folder is to eliminate the possibility of corrupted files. Once deleted/renamed, the folder is recreated.

However, note that renaming/deleting is not applicable to all records.

Looks like your .exe file association has been broken.

Visit the following site and follow the instructions to restore the associations for .exe files.  Make sure to read the note at the top about the additional steps to restore the .exe file associations

Compile the pll and forms of "Node forms", which is the node 2 in your case.

What product Adobe can create a PDF file that can not be changed or printed by the recipient?

    Hi quoman,

Looks like you're wondering how to add security to a PDF file. You will need Acrobat Pro or Standard to do. If you do not have Acrobat, you can try it free for 30 days. See www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html for more information.

  • DBF file

    What is a DBF file?

Very probably a any database file.

DBF is a file format usually used by database software. DBF is synonymous with database file. DBF files were originally used in dBase II and continued through dBase IV Version. DBF file format issued by Ashton-Tate, but is meant by Act!, Clipper, FoxPro, Arago, Wordtech, xBase and similar the database ordatabase-related products.

DBF files can also be opened by Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.

  • I keep getting these messages that do not allow to use a file. What should I change to have privileges for all functions?

    Original title: administrator Win7

I have win7 and IE11 running on a HP 8540p.  I'm the only person authorized to use the laptop - I am the administrator.

I keep getting these messages that do not allow to use a file.  What should I change to have privileges for all functions?

The second file is not cooperating and was not deleted.

"Not cooperating" can mean many different things. A real verbatim error message would be more useful. In the case of locked files, it is often possible to remove safe mode.

  • Recovery after the removal of a dbf file

    Dear friends,

I will delete a dbf file now.

I want to recover the backup.

Would like to know, what kind of commands/steps would be involved.

    Learning goal (preferably with RMAN)

    Thank you.

You must have the backup of the file
    backup control files
database is in log mode archive if you use rman
    After you delete the file
    connect via rman
    1. take the tablespace offline containing this data file.
    1 restore datafile (can check of dba_data_files);
    3. recover the data file< no="" of="" dadtafile="" or="" name="">
    4 take tablespace online.

  • Users01.dbf file is too large

    Hello
I'm using oracle 11g and oracle hyperion. I've created many applications in hyperion. The application metadata are owned by oracle db. Now I see that I am running out of space the drive where I installed oracle 11 g. The USERS01.dbf file is over 6 GB in size. And that's the main reason I am facing difficulties on my hyperion correctly.
Can someone pls tell me how can I reduce the size of the USERS01.dbf? It will undermine if I delete the file? I am very confused as the database holds metadata for many of my applications. What should I do? Any suggestion?

    Thank you.

    DO NOT DELETE!

Contributes to the management, I doubt it since it is 11g and it's good with segment but try below first:
Merge and shrink the tablespace. Then try to resize. If extensions are the end of the file being used the resizing will fail.

Second, stop your database (if you can) and commissioning in the mount status. Move USERS. DBF to another drive and then change the file path in the database.
    ALTER database rename datafile 'D:\oradata\prod\users.dbf' to 'F:\oradata\prod\users.dbf ';

Remember, 6 GB is NOT huge. In fact, it is quite normal. If it has achieved this size, there is a reason for that. Make more space, usually it is the cheapest way.

Tables really don't care of dbf files. Tables are stored in the tablespaces. Storage spaces are logical structures that consist of one or more data files.

Take a look at dba_tables to know what tablespace one table belongs.
Take a look at dba_data_files to cross-match a tablespace to a data file.

No sound cannot get the data of a datafile (.dbf)... You must have the entire database (all file/.ctl .dbf files .log files) to get the data of this... or

file .dmp generated by oracle 9i but you nned to create a database, then you can use the import utility to import the .dmp file...
