  If you need to open the PDF files, you will need to install a PDF reader.

  If you try to print in PDF format, you must install Adobe Reader.

  Problem with pdf for the opening of the health gov Web site. I use my ipad in Safari and have installed the application to adobreader. Healthcare gov support only suggested to disable the pop-up blocker. I did, and I couldn't always open the file. No problem on a desktop computer regardless of the browser.

  In my view, they spend on their web server to a document ECM server authentication. Someone else has the problem?

  I tried the Penguin, Chrome and Atomic browsers on the ipad and the same issue.

  Okay, actually, I think that there is a problem with the type of form. It is a form of a special kind (called a form XFA or Designer, for what it's worth), which can be opened with Adobe Reader and only on Mac or Windows. There is no iPad software that can read these.

• Problem with PDF created with Captivate 6

  I've been using Captivate since version 4 and this is the first time that I had this problem. The generated PDF (which is the expected file size) displays a blank page with only the button table of contents who is sitting there flashes quickly. I tried to change the version of the Flash Player targeted without a bit of luck.  Previews and HTML output is fine and so is the .exe file. I use Adobe Acrobat 11 on a 64-bit Windows System. It is a quite small with about 15 slides project and FLV videos. I have no problem with distill with any of my other programs (FrameMaker, LiveCycle, Photoshop etc.). All settings, I can tinker with?

  I have a very weird problem with exporting PDF from InDesign (CS3).

  OK, so I create with InDesign, pages with hyperlinks (text and graphics) and I export them in a PDF format, ensuring that the links "Include" is checked.

  Now hyperlinks in PDF documents work fine.

  My problem comes when I import these PDF files in a new InDesign file and then export again a new PDF (with the "Include links" checked). Hyperlinks in imported PDF files does not work.

  Does anyone know a solution?

  Imported in ID PDF files is treated as images. Hyperlinks are not visible in an image. If the hyperlink is a full URL, it may still be active in Acrobat seen because of capabilities in Acrobat and Reader, but it is the choice of the user and may not work for everyone. See here

• Problem with PDF download

  I am facing problem with the download PDF option. In demand for answers, I use PivotTables to display data, and because these PivotTables do not offer the option of table headers, I resorted to HTML to achieve a similar result. The issue I am facing right now is when I print by PDF or Powerpoint, HTML code I wrote happens rather than the result. In the case of excel or responses, I get the proper output. Is there a setting I'm missing? I use the column with the HTML code in the PivotTable columns section.

  This is a known issue with a HTML code into your application, when you try to download the same in PDF, PowerPoint, it will show the code.

• Problem with SlingTV through Airport Extreme?

  I have a Motorola SB6141 cable modem, internet of Time Warner and an Apple Airport Extreme Base Station (later) for my setup. While SlingTV is not a great service, it was $ 20 a month and gave me what I need and has been much better than that Time Warner was in charge me for the same channels.

  Despite the problems of freezing SlingTVs or what not, for a while it worked. But one day a few months back it just stopped working. When you open the app, it either does not open or just turns and turns to be forgotten and never access the content. But if I try on my phone (Verizon LTE), or another network outside my apartment with the iPad or computer laptop, it works. So at home, I tried to go directly from the cable modem and right in the Apple TV (previously an Xbox) and when I do that it works. So really what it boils down to, is my Apple Airport Extreme Base Station router. If I'm either directly connected to the Airport Extreme Base Station (Apple TV ethernet to the router), it will not work, or if I use WiFi via the Apple Airport Extreme Base Station it will not work. But directly to the modem cable or on any network outside of my home, the service works.

  So in short, something about setting up Apple isn't allowing the Sling TV app to open or work on any device. I even did a rest of the plant and installing my Apple router once again, and the same problem persists.

  FYI - I use Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and all the Apple TV, TV shows, rental movies and content without ever having a problem with opening or streaming. This only happens with SlingTV when you try to access content on any device (iPad, Apple TV, Xbox One, iPhone, Macbook Air) via WiFi or Ethernet via Apple Airport Extreme.

  I tried to provide all the little details that I could. If someone could please provide a solution I would really really appreciate it! Thank you.

  Well first of all try to port forwarding. Slingbox I guess would use a similar to SlingTV montage... Unfortunately when I google for it I see just people having so many questions like you... no rigging, no answer they give up.

  It is the old airport of model, but the idea is correct.

  If you still have questions... There is a major problem... port 5001 is used by the airport for its installation...

  If I run a scan of port of network utility, that you will find that it is already used.

  BTW: this is no bad thing because you also have a known problematic modem... SB6121 and SB6141 have major problems... do a quick search and you can find a lot of posts about this.

  TWC has also now use IPv6... that can ruin.

• Problem with PDF as a slideshow in loop

  I created an interactive PDF from InDesign file that has an animation Flash on the first page, then several pages of static images and ends with another flash animation. I would like this whole PDF to play as a slideshow in loop with page turning every 5 seconds approximately. Export as an interactive PDF, the file plays the first page flash animation, but will not automatically advance on the next pages to play through the slide show of pictures. Help!

  Those looking for a solution to similar problems:

  If the SWF file on page 1 is a fixed-length animation, the most simple solution is to add a timer to run single for events Page Open and Close of the Page on the first page, for example in advance after 15 seconds:

  Open page: myTimer = app.setTimeOut('pageNum++',15000);

  Close page: app.clearTimeOut (myTimer);

  The close event page removes the timer in case the user navigates away before that time.

  The ActionScript method I describe in answer #3 above also works, but requires the SWF to be edited. Both methods require JavaScript or active, but as Flash is involved, it is reasonable to assume that the file is displayed on a desktop in Acrobat or Reader. As he has no ACE<>JS bridge, this method of timer is safe to use with an RMA number that turns off when the page is closed.

• Problems with PDF files

  I use FrameMaker 8.0. When I create my PDF - either with the file save as or print it in PDF format works the file PDF complete random information is missing. I also get error messages when I open my document Framemaker that fonts are missing when they are absent... it might say not available substituting Frutiger Frutiger... I ignored these errors - could have something to do with the pdf does not finish correctly? (Note that the missing information of pdf files don't involve these fonts).

• El Capitan Preview Zoom App problem with PDFs

  After the upgrade to Yosemite to El Capitan (10.11.5), I noticed a strange when behavior you zoom in PDFs with Preview.app. Crossing of a certain zoom level obviously breaks the screen refresh. The window turns white, while the text and the images disappear. Also has anyone seen this behavior with Preview.app? Is that what I can do to fix this problem?

  Previous version using Firefox Setup 3.6.24 works very well and open the pdf file.

  Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

  "Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.

  'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

  Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

• View the problem with PDFs and the pen

  I have a new Pro and that you have not installed an important apps or new software.  I can use the stylus to write on a PDF using PDF viewing software provided, and that works a treat.
  I can even e-mail the PDF file with the ratings on which can be seen by the recipient too.  Great stuff, really very useful.
  BUT if I then open the PDF saved again on the surface, I get a load of rubbish where writing should be.  Random blocks of graphics.
  I restarted the surface and closed the PDF and opened it again, with the same result.
  I had downloaded the PDf noted to a Web site also, so I deleted the cache using disk cleanup, and who did not make a difference
  I have the PDF file and a screenshot of what I see on the surface, which I can download also.  But the PDF has confidential information, so I need be sure, that it would not be played on a public forum.

  A little history: I work for an agency and have the responsibility to update our website, so I'm learning all about square Dreamweaver 1 essentially device. So bear with me because I manage it. A few years ago a former employee installed CS3 on the PC version I use and is the version that I work with to this day.

  I need display a link .pdf of an agenda of a page on the site and make it appear when selected. Links to the orders of the day of the previous session, on the page work fine, but the newest one I added 404, although I followed the exact code as the previous links to .pdf.

  My suspicion is that I have trouble lies in the fact that I have an old version and not support the software, or some kind of conflict between HTML/HTML 5 (if something like this exists), or a combination of both.

  What is important is what is in your Remote Site.  Since the files in DW (F8), Expand Panel.  To connect to the server.  Click on the remote server.  Do you think the agenda 6/5 on the site?
