Sports Media Center section / channel fails

Home Premium to Windows 7 (64-bit), the Sports Media Center Section / channel fails on HP E9200Z identical pc 2 I just bought, but my E9180T HP Vista pc works fine.  Initially the same sports section was not, then after that the TV Signal configuration appeared.  Now, when you take Sports, each sub-section does the following:

We Now - works well

On Later - it always shows "No Sporting events found."

Partitions - it always shows 'Search'... "I left it there for hours?  Looking

Players - a completely white screen.

Leagues - it blocks the program then it restarts finally.  Message he shows is, "Media Center has stopped working", on the second attempt, the same thing happens, but it displays, windows searches for a solution to the problem, then "a problem caused blocking the program works correctly.  Windows will close the program and inform you is a solution is available. "and a close button the program if. poster, selecting just close the Media Center.

My registry made this interesting:

PlayersSelectedLeague - white
ScoresSelectedLeague - white

  • Windows 7 Media Center: scanning channels - System.EntryPointNotFoundException

My Windows 7 Media Center has worked very well for a few years, a few days ago, some television channels have lost their EPG and I then ran the channel scan who got in what relates to downloading the guide, then crashed as it seems to start to scan channels:

    System.EntryPointNotFoundException was not handled
Message = entry point was not found.
    Source = ehiProxy
    TypeName =""

    ...

I deleted it and reinstalled Media Center in Windows 7 features and erased, it has databases using "mcupdate - MediaCenterRecoveryTask" and deleted all the latest Windows updates (but not security patches) and I tried a different USB TV tuner but it always crashes.  As I know everything, but the channel scan works very well.  I don't often find chains so don't know when it went wrong, but can not think of a new software which would have affected it.

Probably the exception I have now two incompatible parts of the software on the machine, but what are they and how can I solve this problem?

    Ideas please...

Finally, I had all this work once again :)

To do this, I uninstalled all Windows updates and patches safety installed this year, uninstalled Windows Media Center from Windows features, rebooted and reinstalled Windows Media Center.

At this point, he still had the flaw.  Finally still with no idea of what could be the problem, I gave up, ran the scan channels one last time which failed, then reinstalled all the Windows updates, try running Windows Media Center Channel Scan again just in case, and it worked perfectly, the guide is also fully filled again.

I guess you updates of Windows was installed incorrectly and killed the Media Center channel scan.

    Thanks for trying to help.

  • Media Center losing channel tv help

I have happiliy used the WMC to receive television over the past five years. However, often the information in the guide begins to disappear and using the download of TV Guide is not recover lost information "no data available" shows on the screen matrix and finally all the news channel will disappear. the only way to recover information from channel is going to be resolved completely all channels via the TV set up in WMC. This just happened again (strangely at midnight on 12/31/2012) and now I have no information channel. I just tried a retune but nothing is back - channels are listening but there is no information on the programs available and therefore no way registration of future events.

I think I have the latest updates are done automatically. Any help or guidancewold be appreciated.

  • Digital Cable Set Top Box connected to the Media Center computer, forced to keep MC on the use of channels 3-cant TV Guide in Media Center to record

I have to keep the center of the media on channel 3, and the decoder controls the channel I want to watch or record.  For example if I want to record channel 631 21:00 to 23:00 I would say the MC to record channel 3 for as many programs they broadcast between 9 and 23:00.  This process does not allow registration of the MC - guide as it was planned. I have to use the channels on the cable box only and always have the Media Center on channel 3. Is it possible to come back with the MC TV Guide and record by this guide as it was designed to do, while still using the cable set top box or some other Descrambler for replacement by the cable operator?  Basically, the decoder is a decoder which makes us put all our TV on channel 3.  But the cable ready TV I hear do not need the box, they can use another device.  The computer can do the same?  Nobody seems to have no answer to this problem.  Help!?

I read your question. I asked you what happened when running
TV Setup and specifically want to know if the TV Setup detected your set top
Box/decoder and it happened. If Media Center does not automatically detect your decoder,
have you tried the manual method to learn codes? I'm trying to help you
    features of Media Center EPG.

  • Media Center / hd HomeRun Prime

I have a PC I installed windows8 and Media center. I then installed the first HD Home Run software. Silicon dust sw recognizes the tuner and even done the scanning channels and channels appropriate loads of the HD Home Run Setup... Tab card cable.

On this machine in media center, I have installed digital cable Advisor. It meets the test that my PC is able. However when I go to work... Set Up TV Signal I get Tuner not found.

What is interesting is that I kept a backup image of Windows 7 before winning 8 upgrade for this PC.  I then followed the exact procedure above and installed Media Center... HD Home Run SW and everything works perfectly.

I also installed Win 8 Media Center Hd Home Run on our htpc of room and everything went well.

My question is when I look in Device Mgr or where can I find the Home Run or what trouble shooting steps to try why the Tuner is not on this machine.

I'm really starting to regret will win 8 so as soon as I spent a lot of time to migrate several machines I see great value in Hyper v.  Only to find out my Netgear Ondaaah 1100 (N150) USB wireless fails with the irq error and my phone majikjack does not work either. Hope that this isn't Vista all over again.

If you have any suggestions, I would be grateful

Thank you. What troubled me, is that the drivers have worked and worked the quick TV app. CTR Media was not simply grateful that I had a card tuner into tasks. I deleted all Ctrl panel software then re installed again in following and all worked. Installed to ctr media, then first Home Run software. Restarted. Then units of installation media center Advisor channel then tv Configuration.

I have problems to make internet TV, news and Netflix to connect to the internet when you use Windows Media Center.  They are all under the TV + movies option during the WMC.  I get an error saying [invalid Application - cannot start "" ""].  Not sure if this is because the internet connection that I use is not one that has a user name or password.  Not know how to configure it for this version of Windows.  I don't get this problem when you use Windows Media Center in Windows 7.

    HUH?

    I use Vista x 64.

I looked this error and ran sfc/scannow in administrator mode.  It took about 15 minutes and he said that some errors have been found that cannot be fixed.  I can NOT open the log file to display errors, because when I find it and click on it, it says "access denied."

I fixed that by returning to NVIDIA 196.21 driver version.

  • The sports channel of Media Center would become obsolete?

All I get is a bouncing yellow ball. Queensbury Fight Network and FOX Sports come individually fine in the software library. Never underestimate your own stupidity.

Found the problem. Sports channel is registered to the

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Extensibility\Entry Points\ {{de027c68-eefa-4ecb-abca-2bd20ee899f0}]

This loading in IE just brings up the bouncing yellow ball. This is supposed to launch the MCML-BASED code for the http://sp.miomni.com/page, which has a URI of http://sp.miomni.com/HomePageLoader.aspx?Action=HomePagelaunch. Unfortunately, HomePageLoader.aspx shows HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Check the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Other parts of the sp.miomni.com appear as http://sp.miomni.com/MCE_SP_StartPage.html.

It seems that I am the victim of a site redesign, and Media Center did not go to the new URL.
