  This is probably because Firefox 15 is in beta, so norton has not yet added full support for it. I would except them to update their software in the next 3 weeks (15 Firefox gets released in about a week and a half).

  Regarding research on a Mac, use the native search Spotlight.

• Preference system, security and confidentiality, accessibility - not working/empty

  All of a sudden my system preference, safety and confidentiality, accessibility access list does not work, it is completely empty/Virgin and I can't use + / either. They do nothing. The + tries to add an app and I can select an app via the dialog box, but the window just shows blank after choosing an app. He never adds anything.

  I reboot several times and turned to cycling as nothing will do. I also zapped the PRAM, still nothing. I also used the Onyx to repair permissions and also checked the disk, everything going perfectly.

  The list never used to be empty, there are several apps listed in there, but they are all gone now. It is completely empty.

  Please launch the Console application in one of the following ways:

  brief update: discovered that - after several days - spotlight indexing is still active. So strongly assume that this oddity Mail 10.0 is down to the indices not being ready to be read.

• Siri does not find the files on my external drives

  Hiya:

  Just updated to Sierra of MacOS and I try to use Siri to search for files on my computer and as the title suggests, Siri spitting not files on my external drives (both connected via USB 3 on the back of the iMac). I tried to turn on Siri/off, Spotlight is not all excluded files, I tried signing in/out of my iCloud account. I tried to create a new user account on my Mac (which will not find anything). Permissions on my external hard drive seem ok: read/write is enabled for me, all the world and admin; "ignore permissions" is turned on.

  I'm starting to think that this is a design limitation of the software. Someone else using Siri able to search for files on your external hard drives?

  As near as I can tell, unlike the Finder and Spotlight, search Siri does not check for external drives.

• Finder does not remove the files?

  I deleted a lot of videos (files) because they were in my photos, then, even after having emptied the Recycle Bin and rebooted the computer files appear again and are able to play when you type 'Movies' in the Spotlight (order space) search.
