  Hold down the Windows key and press R

  In the run box, type regedit and press enter

  In the registry editor, navigate to the following

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install

  Inside, look for a key named DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade

  If it is present, right click on the key and select Edit

  Set the field data of the value 0 (zero) , and then click Ok.

  Close the registry editor.

  Make the Synaptics setting changes you need in the usual way and save them, and then check if they are now kept after a reboot.

  My new notebook using Skylake i5 CPU 6200, intel agrees alteration to it, s default settings (I have to disable "TAP" because otherwise I continue to create unintended entries - it's an age thing)

  Change Synaptics settings works fine, but when the machine is restarted, the Touchpad is back to its default settings, with many skillful clever additional features, including TAP.

  I have ensured that I have the latest driver from HP and Synaptics.  When I reported this problem to the HP support in November, told me it was a known issue and must be sorted in January...

  Still no luck so don't anyone know what is happening, or a solution?

  But I need to use Eanglish as default.

  I change the language to English, but some parts are still on screen welcom Dutch for example.   6. Select English
  7. Defined as primary

  If English is not available on your system, select install language of the English pack

  Allow the system to reboot after that language pack installs.

  You should now have English displayed on your start screen.

  No, certainly not part of a default installation of Firefox.

  You can disable any extension here:

  Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

  If the extension has a button Delete, you can delete it immediately. If it isn't, it has been added to Firefox externally and can often be removed by the control panel. Of course, the trick is to find how it appears (for example, under what name or as part of the software).

• Windows Vista - > 7 install fail - reboot loop

  I have a Dell Inspiron 1545, Vista upgrade using the update of Win7 from Dell.  I used their upgrade wizard first, and he told me to inactivate iTunes, I did.  Regular upgrade disc then proceeded, who has had a series of restarts.  I wasn't sitting there watching all the bars and screen.

  I tried to install the driver software for their CD ATI video card. The installation is locked up twice. I abandoned installation and downloaded the new drivers on their website. The installation went without problems. Now, whenever I restart the computer, I get a error message that says "the feature you are trying to use is on an unavailable network resource." This is because the installer is always try to install the ATI installation aborted. How can I get rid of this command?

  Your solution worked, sort of...!
  After you have uninstalled the ATI and the video card drivers, I got is no longer the MSI Setup attempt. Then it got worse. All attempts to reinstall the drivers ended up with a dreaded "blue screen" (which went by so fast I never was able to read) a reboot which included a disk check that always find errors. I even edited the registry and remove all instances of ATI and Radeon and deleted all the files containing the same, nothing helps. It lasted two days. I finally found and things and the old installation that was installed successfully routine are now back to normal.

  I decided to copy the filed on the hard drive and it's vista blue screen

  I copied the files on the hard drive (in safe mode) and tried to start the installation of the copy.  I get the following error

  You cannot change the default location for installing Flash Player.  Flash Player installs in a specific directory and browsers know what directory to locate the Flash Player in.
