SQL * connect more does not work as I want.

My book Oracle says:

"Within SQL * Plus, connect to the default database instance as the user.
system with the appropriate password. »

When I do

Connect system/Oracle

or

Connect system/orcl1 I get the following errors:

ORACLE not available ORA-01034
ORA-27101 shared memory realm does not exist

First, it is quite bad. How is it that he mentions ORACLE not available when I clearly
ORACLE were not used in the connect statement?

I just started the instance with emctl.

The slash in ORACLE_HOME can cause this error:

$ echo $ORACLE_HOME

    Hello

    Try to uninstall and reinstall the network adapter drivers.

    Download the latest drivers from the card manufacturer support page.

    Download the drivers and extract them to a folder of your choice.

    In Device Manager, right-click on the adapter.

    Click Update drivers and choose her browse my computer for drivers.

    Choose let me a list of choices, click on disk and point to the folder with the drivers.

    If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

    Check network connections to make sure that you have a Local Area Connection icon/entry, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    * Note 2 There could be an IPv6 entries too. However, they are not functional for Internet or LAN traffic. They are necessary for Win 7 homegroup special configuration.

    Also, make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

  • iPhone 6s and carplay connected but does not work

    It has worked before and now does not. I deleted the system carplay phone and indicated above. The iPhone says bluetooth is connected to carplay and carplay indicates it is connected to the iPhone, but it does not work properly. I can't get or receive calls. I hear the phone ring on incoming calls by speakers in the system several times and when I touch the phone button my steering wheel to answer does not work, or it shows the phone number entering on the radio screen. When I try to make a call, the iPhone does not, I call say they have heard their phones ring but could not hear me speak, phones sounds dead on both ends. I have to disconnect carplay to make and receive calls.

    As side note my iPhone and carplay work with audio for listening to music, but who also has been removed from carplay so that I can put in place the phone carplay only system.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Concerning

    Steve

    Nevermind, I figured it. I completely turned off the iPhone and he turned his back, and then just followed the car game voice instructions to synchronize.

    Relevant documentation for JDBC 9i drivers here is http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/java.920/a96654/connpoca.htm#1056354.

    In the world of JDBC 9i driver, there was a distinction between a connection pool (consolidated connection) and a cache of connections.

    A connection pool is trying to eliminate overhead consumption and resources of connection / disconnection from the database. If the connection is going to be only reused so no reason to close the connection, just open it again.

    What a performance gain were you looking for? Only, you would see a performance gain if your application was constantly opening and closing of connections, demanding that all resources for Setup and take down communications database. When the connection is established there is no difference in the performance of the execution of SQL.

    You can see with

    import java.sql.Connection;
    import java.sql.ResultSet;
    import java.sql.SQLException;

    import oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleConnectionPoolDataSource;
    import oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource;
    import oracle.jdbc.pool.OraclePooledConnection;

    public class TestConnectionCache {

      public static void exec(Connection conn) throws SQLException {
        ResultSet rs = conn.prepareStatement("select sys_context('USERENV','SESSIONID') from dual").executeQuery();
        rs.next();
        System.out.println("Session id: " + rs.getInt(1));
        conn.close();
      }

      public static void main(String[] args) throws SQLException {

        OracleDataSource ods = new OracleConnectionPoolDataSource();
        ods.setUser("...");
        ods.setPassword("...");

        // Construct the jdbc url.
        String host     = "...";
        String port     = "...";
        String instance = "...";

        String url =
          "jdbc:oracle:thin:@//" + host + ":" + port + "/" + instance
          ;
        ods.setURL(url);

        // No connection re-use.
        exec(ods.getConnection());
        exec(ods.getConnection());

        // Connection re-use. (Connection pooling)
        OraclePooledConnection opc = (OraclePooledConnection)((OracleConnectionPoolDataSource)ods).getPooledConnection();
        exec(opc.getConnection());
        exec(opc.getConnection());
      }
    }

    Product output similar to:

    Session id: 4110149
    Session id: 4110150
    Session id: 4110151
    Session id: 4110151

    Note: when the pooliing connection is used, the session of database id is the same. Call close() has not closed the physical connection.

    A cache of connections is a layer on top of pooled connections that manages the creation and destruction of the connections. There usually limits this link how much should be open and the maximum number of connections to allow. Then the cache is queried for a connection, it can return the one that is not in use or perhaps create a new.

    Later versions of the JDBC driver will greatly simplify managing your connections and here is the note of documentation:

    Note:
    The previous cache architecture, based on OracleConnectionCache and OracleConnectionCacheImpl, is discouraged. Oracle recommends that you take advantage of the new architecture, which is more powerful and offers better performance.

    Any reason you're not not using a newer driver?

    I have used Windows Vista Home Premium for 2 years now on my laptop. Internet connection sharing enabled to connect to the internet via my wireless adapter and allowed me to share my internet connection through the ethernet port. He worked for more than a year. All of a sudden 4 months ago Windows Vista doesn't let me share the internet connection more. When I go to networking and sharing Center, click on "Manage network connections" and it shows that my "Wireless Network Connection" is always set to share. So after reading several forums, I clicked on wireless network connections and click right properties. Then I clicked on the sharing tab, to make sure that "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection" has been verified and that it is. After that, Windows Vista will not always share the internet. Someone suggested that I double check the IP version 4 and 6 on the wireless and Ethernet connection were defined on IP addresses obtain automatically, and they are. The computer still will not share the internet connection! I even took the manufacturer in the view of portable and made sure my cable modem Simulator wasn't bad. I took it to a computer store and we checked the crossover cable. Everything is fine! What else can I try?

    Obtain an IP address automatically is the wrong setting on the Ethernet connection.  To return to the sharing tab and unshare the wireless connection.  Close all windows network, and then open them and re - share the wireless connection.  Who must configure IPv4 for the Ethernet connection properties for:

    I have setup the connection to the server bridged vmw to eth0: 1, the 3 ip address of the host. When I try ifconfig on the host I see vmnet1 and vmnet8 but I don't see vmnet0.  Anyway, until I reinstalled vmware, when I used to go to the bridge connection, after awhile the host lost the configuration of interfaces and all 3 ip addresses were assigned to the operating system virtual and strange and really stressing that it is.

    I'm a newbie on the use of vmware and I have never configured or managed bridged connection. What should I do in my case? I want almost just my virtual machine to share 1 ip with the host.

    And yes I tried to configure my interfaces with DHCP hosts, but after awhile, the configuration will automatically static...

    On the web interface of vmware, I see that the comments field is identified but all-IP. In any case, this area is not true, it's just a name I put. Maybe I need to set the host reviews domain too? Anyway, even the host is a domain. Host interfaces I just address; network mask; gateway for eth0 and just address and the mask for the other 2 remaining IP... all static.

    I'm googleing for quite awhile now, but the seams I can't solve. I'd love to read any suggestion. In fact I really need some advice.

    Thanks in advance.

    Nothing changed, ifconfig - a shows exactly the same thing I showed you on the previous posts.

    Good.

    Why they change?

    Because people tend to try things and posting them here.

    I don't spot anything.

    Good.

    Should I implement something?

    Not requested by me.

    You told me I couldn't have bridged connection after I showed you the ifconfig-a, but why?

    No, I didn't tell you that. I only told you that you cannot use an IP address on two hosts. The client needs its own unique IP address, but you announced, according to me, it doesn't even have an IP address.

    I don't want no special configuration. I just want to have regular bridged connection. What makes it 'different' in my case is

    I have 3 dedicated IP addresses, but I don't think it's a problem.

    It depends on where you use IP addresses. If they are already used on the host computer does not have one of them in the comments.

    You say: but remember, you cannot use the same IP address on two hosts at the same time. And you have two hosts

    (the VMware host and guest in VMware). This is the default configuration of vmware server?

    Regardless of if you use VMware or something different. Once you have created a system of comments (virtual machine) you have two hosts. The host where VMware Server works on and the virtual machine. And with each client, you add that you add a host computer. It is not complicated. It is the same as if you would add a physical host to your network. And each host needs a unique IP address. No matter if you use bridge or a NAT. It's as simple as that. Standard TCP/IP enterprise.

    I don't want to host 2 or I don't want this complicated thing.

    If you don't want two hosts, why you started with virtualization. It is the purpose of database virtualization. Add hosts without having to buy equipment for the new. Maybe you didn't know that the I mentioned the virtual machine also as host.

    Or perhaps what you mean, it's that I can't use the same static IP address on the host and the guest at the same time?

    Exactly! But that is not because you use filled, this is because TCP/IP works this way. All over the world, on all systems that use the TCP/IP protocol.

    I think you are missing some basics:

    VMware offers three types of failure of networks. All apply to all TCP/IP rules.

    Everything first a 'bridge' or VMnet0:

    When you use a connection open, the guest connects seamlessly to the network. By using its own MAC address and using its own unique IP configuration.

    Second, one is 'host-only' or VMnet1:

    Again, the client has its own unique valid IP configuration, but it is not connected to the physical network, but to a virtual (VMnet1). The host is also connected to VMnet1 via its virtual adapter VMnet1. VMnet1 is a separate IP subnet, it has its own subnet IP address (default something like 192.168.x.x).

    Third is "NAT" or VMnet8:

    It is also a virtual network as VMnet1 but here the host acts as a proxy for the guest. The host has its own unique and valid IP (from subnet IP VMnet8) address and uses a virtual IP address as its gateway to the outside world (physical network). Using NAT allows to hide the comments of the physical network because each package seems to come form the host.

    So, if you want to have your comments using a bridge connection, assign an IP address, which NO other host uses. Unfortunately I can't help you here, as you xxxxx'ed the information most important in your post, IP addresses. These IP addresses are the reason for which this information is requested in this forum. If they must be kept secret, you can xxx the first three digits of the address, but must appear at least in the last three games. Otherwise, we cannot check if they are correct or not.

  • my bank home page very well, but after I connect it does not work.

    The graphics on the screen disappear, and what should be in the menu bars is listed on the left, an article on a line. This does not happen with IE11, and the esupport Bank Group said that they have not seen before.

    The problem was indeed the name of PrivacyBadger extension. Disabling makes the problem disappears, which is goodness.

  • Connection options does not work after FileVault on

    Something weird happens after I turned on FireVault. The parameters"Connection Options"have no effect. For example:

    1 "screen as login window:' only works like"List of users"while I have"Name and password"selected, and I would like to see the last when I login.»

    2 "menu entry display in the login window" is always enabled, displays the language of the keyboard at the stop to the right of the window, even if the function is not enabled in "System Preferences."

    3. the icon of the guest user is displayed in the login window, despite the fact that the guest user is disabled in "System Preferences."

    Help, please! How can I make these features work and be the same as they were before I enabled FileVault. As it is, I'm not satisfied with how the login window is displayed.

    Thank you!

    PS Booting up now takes a lot more time, after activation of FileVault, when the HARD drive was not encrypted. Is this normal?

    Connection options have no effect on the displayed by FileVault pre-seed authentication dialog box. You can not modify this dialog, except by adding and removing users. If you disconnect without restarting, the connection dialog box will be in accordance with your settings.

  • internet connection wifi does not work after entering safe mode

    It works when I connect it to the router with cable, I had this problem before & there was a command typed in cmd that solved but I can't remember it, any help?

    Interesting... If you have booted without failure then you restarted in normal mode and your wireless settings no longer work?

    UH... Well the first thing I would do is to disable and reactivate my wireless card.  The second thing I would do is check I get an IP address on my wireless network, this is done in the command line (cmd) by typing "ipconfig".  If you get an IP address then you know that your router works on the dhcp protocol, but to confirm I would ping the router, which will be your entry door, which is usually something like "ping 192.168.1.1".  If you do not have an IP address, you should try to renew and see if you can buy a... "ipconfig / renew".

    In addition, you will need to check that you are actually connected to a wireless network, it should appear in your software wireless windows, or you proprietary wireless NETWORK card software.

  • Internet connection suddenly does not work

    My computer suddenly stopped being able to connect to the internet.

    I use a Belkin Surf & share Wireless... Dongle USB and never had any problems before.
    The router works fine, I connect to it on my roommates Mac here where I am writing this question.
    If I can connect to the router and system tray icon says I'm connected. But when I open Chrome or Opera or try and connect to a FTP server (which I need to do for work!) I can't make the connection and the sys tray icon changes from normal to problem with yellow exclamation sign. When I run a diagnosis it is no problem, and when I look at the details, he said "it can be a problem. The funny thing is that sometimes this translates the sys tray connection status icon back to normal and very occasionally, I am able to load a web page, but then the connection breaks again.

    Hello

    To provide the proper resolution, I would need more information on your side.

    1. deal with any issue while using Internet Explorer?

    2. is the specific issue while trying to open the FTP server?

    3. deal with any issue while accessing other Web site?

    This problem may occur corrupt or incompatible drivers, missing updates or because of incorrect network connection settings.

    Method 1:
    I suggest you try the procedure described in the article and see if it helps.
