  • Where to find the request resolved, sent to the database?

    Version 4.1.1.00.23

    Hello

    Where and how can I find the actual query that is sent to the database?  I enabled debugging in the Dev toolbar, but I still don't see where is the query that is sent to the database? I'm hoping to see a view with the elements of page not resolved not what's actually in the page.

    I have a query on a collection and I get an error "command not properly ended SQL" and I do not see why it is not "properly completed".

    Hope this is clear.

    Let me know if not.

    Thank you

    Joe

    Mike,

    I got it to work!

    In the query for the Collection, I went back to using the function replace to replace the colon with a comma and where clause of the query for the page I used the get_list function.

    So in the Collection query, she went from:

    AND (tbs_team_id IN (SELECT tbs_team_id FROM tbs_forecast_year get_list('|| :F189_TEAM_ID ||')) OR 0 IN (SELECT tbs_team_id FROM tbs_forecast_year get_list('|| :F189_TEAM_ID ||')))

    To do this:

    AND (tbs_team_id IN ('||replace(:F189_TEAM_ID,':', ',')||') OR 0 IN ('||replace(:F189_TEAM_ID,':', ',')||'))

    And in the query to create the page, I put this:

    AND (c002 IN (SELECT * FROM TABLE(get_list(:P11_TEAM))) OR 0 IN (SELECT * FROM TABLE(get_list(:P11_TEAM))))

    And fixed it.

    Thanks Tony and Ingenio VERY much for your help!

    Thank you

  • The difference in the value of the column of a flag in the database and OBIEE. Level of response

    Hello

    Field of the FLAG column, like "Accepted_Flag" can be {0,1} or {"n", "Y"} at the database level. Is there a way to OBIEE help we can transform this area of {0,1} to {'Y', ' n} or vice versa?

    Basically, we would like to understand if there is a way by which we can see a different output to the database and the OBIEE. Levels of responses:
    -DATABASE: Select accepted_flag from table_a returns * {0,1} *.
    -OBIEE answers: Select accepted_flag from presentation_table_a returns * {"n", "Y"} *.

    Please notify.

    Thank you and best regards,

    You can create a logical column or responses using case statements:
    -case when table_a.accepted_flag = 1 then 'Y '.
    When table_a.accepted_flag = 0 then 'n '.

  • What update statement is sent to the database?

    In several pages, I use the Apex line (DML) 4.2 automatic treatment processes. If I do an update of a record, which are columns in the update statement? All columns, only the displayed, only the columns changed, also the PK column?

    As far as I can see now all the columns that are displayed are updated, also the PK, which is display only.

    I ask this, because when the PK is updated (not changed is screen only) all tables in my 75 cases, where this PK is used as FK, will get a lock.

    I did some tests and find out that indeed the Apex is updating all the columns used in the elements by Type of Source is the database column. Even if this item is display only, read-only, etc.!

    My solution now, to prevent the locks, is the following:

    Automated line Fetch:

    Primary key column value containing point: Pxx_ID

    ID of the primary key column: (this is the primary key)

    Pxx_ID (display only, hidden or read-only)

    Source: only when the current value in session state is set to zero

    Source type: static assignment<-->

    Source of value or expression:

    Treatment of automatic line (DML)

    Primary key column value containing point: Pxx_ID

    Primary key column: ID

  • SQL statement causes the database to hang

    Guys,

    a DBA told me that there is something wrong with this SQL statement and causes a blockage of database...

    Please check.

    SELECT field1 FROM table1 WHERE Field1 LIKE ' %% ' AND field2 = '123456' ORDER BY Field2 ASC

    Tell me, what is the problem with statement above. The LIKE operator is?

    Are not specifically related to your question, but having a clause such as ' where Field2 ='123456 "and then you place your order on Field2 is not really going to do much for you, all values will be identical!

  • Oracle SQL Developer to the database unifying connection

    Hello community!

    I am developing a SQL string that will pull data from various processes of cost (i plan to wrap the dataview object in a cube and publish a dashboard after that). I was wondering if there is any way to connect oracle SQL Developer for oracle hosted instance unify to create code more efficiently? If so, explain the steps for me please?

    I can get the following information of Oracle BI Publisher, see Exhibit A.

    I have to fill in the fields in Appendix B and this is where I don't know how to do this, see Exhibit B.

    Your help is highly appreciated

    Concerning

    Amir

    Hi Amir - there is currently no way to directly connect to the DB for unifying hosted environments. We are currently working on this issue.

    In the meantime, you can use the SQL Editor in your BI Publisher server interface. You build instructions SQL can then be pasted in via data in unifying views.

  • How to connect SQL Dev to the local database?

    Hi all

    I have a local database on my laptop. I connect to the database using direct connect without the listener and tnsnames.ora, because I stopped him.

    How can I connect my SQL Developer to the database using direct connect?

    Thank you

    Probably what he finds through explore paths such as path.

    If on Windows, via the path to the files of Oracle binaries, probably it will look 'default' ORACLE_SID HKLM\Software\Oracle\ "tone" and spawn then oracle.exe with the value of the SID as an argument.

    For a more definitive answer, we can wait until the documentation is being updated with the connection type "local". :)

  • Save the results locally when the database is offline

    Hello world!

    I work to justify the implementation of teststand for automation of test on the company where I work, far it seems that is the way to go, but they are some of the senior management, hesitating on this subject. One of the things that will be great for us (he will give him a +) is the ability to store the results locally on the workstation, where the database is offline (failure of the server or client disconnected from the network), and once he returns, the data is transferred to the database.

    We want to use SQL server for the database. I thought creating a SQL Server express locally on the computer, so all of the results will always be saved in the station first, I tried to use the sql import/export wizard to import data from a sql server to another, but I did not find any way to do it automatically, we are looking for one of the solution of the box free of charge or regular very very cheap It will be installed on each workstation.

    Thanks for your help and congratulations!

    Abelino,

    You can take advantage of the new features in later versions of TestStand.  In 2012, and most recent, you can write raw results.  As said Dennis you could just always write raw results.  Then use the TestStand Offline results new treatment utility write those in the database: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370052K-01/tsref/infotopics/offline_processing_utility/

    You can create a service or something to do.

    BTW - Plugins can run in its own thread.

  • encrypt/decrypt in Oracle Forms BEFORE you call an SP or the database DML statement

    Hello.  I'm working on an application where we need to encrypt information before it is sent to the database.  I know that the database has a great set of stored procedures to manage the encryption and decryption.  The only challenge here is the fact that I would need to send information unencrypted in the database "in the clear".  Ideally, I would like to encrypt the information in the form and send it to the database.  On recovery, recover the information and then have the application forms decipher encrypted information.

    Whoever did this as a package within a PLL without all calls to a package DBMS_?

    Thank you

    BradW

    OK, I think I have the solution.  We are going to import a java class that we create to do this for us.  We then import it in forms in a library of PLL.  Problem solved!

    Nice little intro to importing Java can be found here:

    Thank you.

    Yes, you can restore and recover the backup, but not at the moment. You will only be able to restore and recover at the time of your backup.

    For example.

    If you take backup (mount point with no mode of journal archive) at 06:00 and your grave database crashes at 21:00, you will be able to restore and recover until 06:00. You will find all the changes made to the database between 06:00 and 21:00.

    If you want your database to recover until 9 PM or until a point in time, then you must put your database in log mode archive, and then save the archives.

    I guess, you create controlfile as the directory of log files "C:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\10.2.0\ORADATA\db2\".
    So now, you will need to change pfile to again match controlfile.

    sql>create pfile='c:\pfile.ora' from spfile;

    Change the section of the command file "c:\pfile.ora" to match your NEW control file.
    then start DB, using the new file pfile

    sql> startup mount pfile='c:\pfile.ora';

    Check the locations of the data file and log files from views v$ datafile and v$ logfile.

    If everything is ok - open the database and create spfile

    sql>create spfile from pfile='c:\pfile.ora';
