Square (keeping the proportions)

Hello. Sorry to post again, but since I have not found answer on the forum now only reading...

I wonder if there is a way to make a place to respond directly from edge.

The design of the page is a big box on the right (1/3 of the page), are inside the 2 squares (10px border).

Is there an easy way to make this happen on board?

SquareThird.png

I have no problem with the background square cut in the process while displaying the page.

Of course, everything would be nice on 4:3 screen horizontal iPad (next step is to understand the process of orientation of Chris Gannon)

Hey, Frank.

Unfortunately, at this time are the only types that are supported for the proportional scaling of images.  I've been to this there is an element in our internal database tracking feature to make it available in a later version, if!

Thank you

  • cannot uncheck "Keep the Proportions" in PS Elements 10 for Mac

    I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 for Mac (Lion running). I want to set the resolution of the image without changing the size of the image.

    When I go to Image-> resize-> size of the Image, the height, the width and the proportion is subject to the constraints set. The "Keep the Proportions" box is checked. I can't uncheck. By clicking on the icon of the chain doesn't help either. The image is a JPEG image. Anyone know what I should do to be able to raise the constraint proportions? Thanks in advance for your advice!

    The answer: check the resampling.

  • Keeping the proportions during the measurement of the squares

    I use Photoshop CS6 on Mac OS. Right now I'm working on creating a set of icons for web use, which are supposed to be 20 x 20 pixels of size, and each contains a number of places. My paper (link to copy PNG) is 1000 x 1000 pixels in size and contains 9 (3 x 3) identical squares in size. The gaps between the individual places are identical as well, as is the distance from the (8) apart from places outside the borders. To create the web icons small, I turn the squares according to my needs (they are shape layers in my working paper) and resize the document. That's where I met problems.

    That the differences between the places are identical in my working paper, after the scaling of the image to 20 x 20 pixels, I find myself with this (screenshot to show the grid in Photoshop) to illustrate the problem:

    squares_scaled.png

    The 2 first lines and columns are the way that I expect to be, while the gap with the third is a pixel wide. Regardless of the method of resampling, I end up with the same result. How can I change this?

    I wonder if it's because of the size of your tickets being a bit of an odd size 177 x 177

    If you were to make the squares a more uniform size 200 x 200, then things seem to balance right when it is to reduce the size of the image.

    Anyway, you can correct your document after the downward revision to the 20 x 20 using Edit > free transform using the arrow keys to move the squares in place crime.

  • How to keep the proportions with a sensitive development?

    Hello

    I have an image that I need to place in the center of my step.

    The image is a ball and has size of 400px by 400px.

    I want that my animations to respond so that the image will evolve but always maintain the correct proportions.

    Currently if I updated % on width and height pixels, the image stretches.

    How do you do this in the EA?

    Hi Jahandaniel,

    I tested sensitive layout and it worked perfectly. Please see the following Adobe tv article and let me know your result.

  • Can I change my text box proportionally? I want to keep it in the square when the scaling!

    I love the sensitive provision, with the exception, why the text boxes cannot restrict or keep its proportions when I resize the browser window? I do a page portfolio, and in my home page, when I place the image, descriptive text rises. But when I resize the window it creates lots of space! For now, I did a lot of breakpoints where I manually scale the text box to be squared... Is it possible to make the balance of text box proportionally? I want to keep the square I adapt the browser window. Or is there an alternative? I like the SMART QooQee widget, but I need something for free.

    This is how it works now: www.ingridfredriksen.no

    Because the text itself is unresponsive, it is the only way, it can behave: A small, responsive text block requires to grow in length to display the full text, it contains. It is, how works internet. Otherwise the text would be "overflow" (which does not exist in the web).

    Incidentally: begins to create the wider first breakpoint and limiting to its limit text box height should prevent the empty space, because the box grows when the window is reduced and shrinks again, when it is maximized.

    If I look at your site on an iPad I n ' notice of any space unnecessary.

    Do not disturb (coming down / up) even a letter / word

    Due to levels of zoom browser and personal user settings, there is no possible way to ensure an alignment of text on the web, unless you use images of the text.  Of course, this isn't an option because images of text cannot be indexed by search engines, screen readers or translators of language.

  • Is it possible to resize the document, but keep the content proportions?

    With scripts, there are currentDocument.resizeImage () and currentDocument.resizeCanvas (). ResizeImage() method stretches the image. The resizeCanvas() will resize the canvas but not change the size of the image.

    I'm looking to resize the canvas to a new format, but keep the aspect ratio of the content. Is there a way to do this?

    OK, I got it working!

    adjustedWidth = width;

    adjustedHeight = height;

    If (imageAspectRatio > targetAspectRatio) {}

    adjustedHeight = width / imageAspectRatio;

    }

    else {}

    adjustedWidth = height * imageAspectRatio;

    }

    currentDocument.resizeImage (adjustedWidth, adjustedHeight, null, resampleMethod);

    currentDocument.resizeCanvas (width, height, AnchorPosition.MIDDLECENTER);

  • Take photos for the proportions of the video?

    Hello

    I want to take photos that will be put in a video. Photographers here have any advice on getting correct photos according to the proportions of the video?

    Tell him that the video aspect ration will be 957 x 500. How can I keep the rule of thirds correct from my objective point of view?

    Hope I'm making sense.

    Hi AnotherMe,

    Behind closed doors, you will most likely work by your own eyes. You can practice by placing a paper large format or a billboard with a rectangle drawn on it, in the desired proportions (3:4, 16:9, etc.). Then, look through the viewfinder, fill the frame with your rectangle and note where are the break lines. With ptactics, you will be able to view the work area.

    Once you get back in Lightroom, you can make a culture defined (if one does not already exist) and apply to your images to create the final image in the desired size.

  • nested sequences change the proportions of clips under them

    First Pro 6.0.5
    Mac Book Pro retina

    See the attached screenshots:

    1. nested sequence is off - everything below is is crunchy and good aspect ratio

    2 nested sequence is over - all under it is blurry and bad aspect ratio

    3. only the nested sequence is on - so you can see that it does NOT contain the layers below by mistake

    Why is this happening?  It's really disturbing... This happens usually when I make my sequence - it goes all haywire proportions wrong when rendering with transparent nested sequence above all.

    Image 1:
    Nested sequence is off - everything below is is crunchy and good aspect ratio

    Sigh.  I thought about it.  These are my pains of the transition from FCP to Premiere Pro.
    Apparently the regardless of the default settings I had rendering changed somehow the proportions of my original clips.
    I have re-jiggered rendering in the preferences of the sequence parameters, and the new renders a snippet you want on-site.

    So it's not a bug squarely in the first, more just a user error mixed with some default settings in rendering first clumsy.

  • Change of control, keep the scale of fonts

    Hey,.

    I have a 'mx:Text' with a text control and the width is equal to 350 and height 350. If I double the measure (700 x 700), how can I keep the same space used by the text? You can see that I double the width and height, but if I double the fontSize of the text control will use more lines in comparison with its old width and height.  So, how can I maintain this scale proportionally?

    Thank you

  • I would like to bring to the text from Word (and the web) which is already a hypertext link in InDesign. How can I do it while keeping the links active?

    I would like to bring to the text from Word (and the web) which is already a hypertext link in InDesign. How can I do it while keeping the links active?

    Whenever I have to copy and paste from the web or Word it removes hyperlinks.  And when I try to do in 'Place' ing a Word document in my InDesign project that it retains formatting with it, the rectangles around the text.

    I have the latest version of InDesign.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Copy-paste might not include the shaped. A regular import using square is the best way.

    The rectangles around the hyperlinks are just to indicate that they are links - they do not print, but they appear in your PDF.

    You can delete them by double clicking on the hyperlink in the hyperlinks Panel and select "Rectangle Invisible" as the type.

    In general, Word formatting of hyperlinks - blue text, underline - with a character Style. If you want to remove or change the formatting, all you have to do is to change the character style. My experience, however, is that you need to check all the hyperlinks because no reason apparent, sometimes they appear in the document without the character style.

  • Keep the build order when replacing image?

    Hi guys this problem has plagued me for a while.

    I create a video model in Keynote. The intro slide has a video file (locked) followed by an (unlocked) image and finally another video file (locked). The three of them follow a specific build order with delays, which in turn creates the complete animation.

    I want that the user don't just replace this the Middle image on the slide with one of their choice.

    The problem is, once replace it user order image, positioning of the image and delay in construction are lost. Unfortunately I don't think users are sophisticated enough to follow instructions on how to set the build order, then replace the timing delay, the image needs.

    Is there anyway someone (with a limited understanding of Keynote) can replace the Middle image without compromising the build order?

    Thank you!

    Use an image placeholder:

    • Add a picture to the slide in the format (vertical or horizontal)
    • position and size according to the needs
    • Add a formatting required (picture frame, shadow, etc.)
    • Select the image then: Inspector > Format > advanced > define as media placeholder

    users drag and drop any image on the support of the place that adopts the formatting of the placeholder and keep the animation settings

  • When you upgrade a storage iCloud plan you get to keep the free additional 5 GB?

    I am considering the iCloud the total amount of my photos and videos storage options exceeded the franchise of 5 GB.

    My question is - if I update the 50 GB plan, to keep the original free 5GB as well? I actually would have 55 GB of available storage total iCloud?

    I must say that I am very frustrated because as an avid user of Apple, I have 2 x 2 x iPads, iPhones and a MacBook Pro and still only got 5 GB of free storage iCloud to share between all devices. I don't think I should have to pay for additional storage, given the high investment I have with Apple products - it of crazy for me to buy a 128 GB iPhone and have only 5 GB free storage - but I don't see otherwise around having to upgrade and subscribe to a larger storage iCloud plan. Any ideas please.

    Does anyone think that Apple will increase their free storage plans and subscription at some point?

    If you upgrade to 50GB of storage from iCloud, you'll have 50GB.
