  From an application, it is possible to change programmically whether app should be Autorun at startup feature or not (is there any api)? Or is the only way to apply for automatic execution at startup by modifying project settings?

  You can control the autostart property in the project settings. See "Auto Run at startup"

  There is no way to change this programmatically, once together, but you can always choose to ignore the call system of your app, right?

• Auto run video out with selectable content?

  I have knowledge of Captivate but not enough to confirm or not the request I received is an option in Captivate - I do not know if there is some specific words/language that I use to help find the answers.

  Basically, we will produce five 3-minute videos with different features of our software. Demand that we got is to combine all of those in a single file that allows someone to choose to play the part or all of the segments. So for starters, you would open the video, see the table of contents with five segments, pick two or three, that you want to see and click on play, and he would play only those two or three instead of all 5.

  I expect there are other ways to do that-via Javascript and JQuery, for example - but I thought I would ask if all power users on the forum who happened to know if this kind of functionality is available through Captivate?

  (we use Captivate 7 if that makes a difference, but if it is available in a future release, it would be good to know also).

  You mention this is 'auto run' output.  When we see that in the world of Captivate we usually think that you are referring to an output of EXE format. It is basically the same as the output SWF but runs in its own window, without the need of a browser.

  -What are you looking for?

  With SWF or EXE, I would say study you your publication as SWF modules and then use the aggregator that comes with Captivate to group them together in a single EXE that shows all the topics under one Table of contents on the side.  This will be your simplest solution.

  I wouldn't actually inform you need the viewer make a first selection of what topics they want to play in order.  I think this is probably exaggerated. Just to let the viewer click on the items in the table of contents they are interested, they are stir-fried to the first slide of these topics.

  However, if you don't have your heart set on having the user pre-select what topics to play in order, then I recommend you just copy all five subjects blades in the same CPTX, implemented a menu slide at the beginning of the year where the viewer can designate what subjects they want to see and a button to launch the game.  This solution will require that you use Variables and conditional shares advanced to control what topics and then playing and get ignored those who.

  All these things are possible with Captivate 7 features, but Cp9 has a lot of good things, too.

• Auto Run will not launch CD or DVD

  I'm working on will to Auto Run of details (M4300 & M6300) Dell two will work with either everyone has a CD / DVD +-RW from different manufacturers. Will launch the USB key.

  Annoying problem: my research through my emails will show old messages deleted and shippers with dates and summer topic. But of course, they are removed if no content. I would rather all of these old emails go goodbye altogether.

  That your description sounds a lot to Norton anti virus, but others do.

  Multiple copies of the same message are repeated almost always anti virus analyzes incoming messages. Disable analysis and the problem goes away then turn it on and it resumes.

  My guess is that your filter problems and research problems are also associated with this uniquitous and most ignored security tool that mess so far more than it should...

  I assume you mean the global-messages - db.sqlite. If you close Thunderbird and now delete. Research will be incomplete until it rebuilt and the time to do this will have a lot to do with how much mail is and how busy the computer is.

  Now, create an exclusion in your anti virus program for Thunderbird profile folders. My guess is it is scanning the files in your profile, every time that Thunderbird tries to open and turning usually things in a fierce struggle, including Thunderbird loses that he just does not wait if files are locked. He expects exclusive access to her files immediately, not in 10 minutes when anti virus did it's thing. So things are added to the index but not deleted. Mails do not move as the destination or source file is 'in service', etc..

• Auto play/auto run does not not for pc games

  AutoPlay has stopped allowing me to select an option, when a device is connected or a CD is put in the disk drive, I have to open the devices via my computer.

  Also, AutoPlay stopped running when I insert a game that uses it and I have no way to open and play/install otherwise.

  Lets start by saying that I have a pc with an Ubuntu 12.04 host OS. I installed VMware Workstation on it, and I put windows 7 as a virtual machine inside the workstation.

• CP8 sensitive project will not auto run in the browser from the desktop
