Description of the problem:

  1. Usually won't make it through the night without freezing or BSOD'ing. Although there are periods where the weather is nice.

    1. WhoCrashed suggests:

19 dumps were found and analysed. Only 10 are included in this report. A third-party driver has been designated to be the cause of breakdowns of the system on your computer. It is strongly recommended that you check the updates for these drivers on their corporate Web sites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates these drivers:

srtsp64.sys (AutoProtect from Symantec, Symantec Corporation)

  1. Most common problem is lockable. CPU running at 100%. Computer grinds to a halt more than approximately 1 minute.

  2. Has started after moving to another location PCIe PCIe graphics card and also install the NI SMU chassis.

  1. Minidumps and attached analysis.

  • Win32k.sys caused BSOD IRQL, looking for likely causes

While I was recording game for a game with Fraps, I got BSODed with him saying that an IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error has been generated by win32k.sys.  I have debugged the minidump file and am looking for a reason why it happened.  I don't see anything obvious to said in the report that is generated if:

So far, this was the only time where I had it coming, but I have not tried from new record yet.  Actively running programs are FireFox, Pcsx2 and Fraps.  However, I ran these before without this issue arise.  I'm inclined to think that this is a time to screw that maybe something has been registered correctly or incorrectly read memory.

    Hello

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers to 7 (update drivers manually using the methods above is preferred
to make sure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)

  • 0x0000003b SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION caused by the win32k.sys driver BSOD

    Hello

I used Windows 7 earlier there were many BSOD so I downgraded to Win XP about 6 months back since he could not join the homegroup to another win 7 PC in my house so I decided to again installed Windows 7 after updating my BIOS. However Im getting BSOD even though less frequent than it would have been without update bios (I used to get BSODs during installation of win 7 before the update).

I do not use any IEEE 1394 device.

    Details of my Pc:

1 "AMD E350" APU + 'GPU AMD HD 6310' integrated

    2-4 GB of RAM

    3. Windows 7 Ultimate x 64

    4 MTS MBlaze ultra Modem

Kindly help, I can't keep on using Windows XP!

Kindly let me know if anything else it takes to help me with this.

    Hello

Thanks for the update on the issue. I recommend you to download and install all the latest drivers from the manufacturer's Web site. As this problem generally arises because of the drivers.

This verification step is performed only when the driver verifier controls are active.  (Or on a checked build, but your 'free' that says dump the password do not here).  VMware driver (vmx86.sys) is incompatible with these controls.  You need to disable the driver verifier or specifically exclude pilot of VMware Driver Verifier.

(More details: control of audit of MDL here requires a unique MDL for each page of memory we place.)  LDM is fine to use for this purpose for e/s when very little memory is actually pinned for e/s.  But LDM don't fit very well when pinning of 70% of the memory of the host, as Windows does not have enough memory to the kernel for enough LDM follow this amount of memory.  So, we use a data structure that is more effective than that of the linked list of the Windows - which is quite correct, but which causes of Driver Verifier to panic.  If we use LDM, we could keep the auditor of happy drivers but you could only pin ~ 10% of the memory of the host and 10% is insufficient to run a virtual machine with performance expectations).

  • Slow, BSoD, atapi.sys nw8440

First of all, there was a problem with 80 GB Seagate hdd original inside the nw8440.

Simply, without known reason, that she has stopped working, after you start the laptop he just constantly repeats HP logo, hard drive turns on a second, then it goes back to the logo of hard disk, then again and again. There is a sound of the CD in the middle of it, but these reboots are very, very frequently - once every few seconds.

I replaced the 320 GB SATA hard drive. I managed to have 4 three partitions partiotions with 29GBs, suite, largest, rest of the space.

Installed Windows XP and SP2. First absolutely slow installation, hours and hours and hours. Then I deleted the installation, he did it again. Change a setting in the BIOS in regards to native SATA or bit / LBA, not sure yet.

Installation was a lot faster - as it should.

    SP2 installed as well.

A lot of devices not recognized, so I downloaded the drivers for them on HP site.

    Then there was change.

Slow, incredible. The mouse pointer moves very well, but when I click on something on the screen, sometimes answer is correct, instantaneous, but sometimes - 3-4 seconds (no reason, normally it takes an instant response), sometimes for 20 to 30 seconds.

Also, after I start some contain applications becomes more problematic. Firefox, for example - enter anything in the form of research is a letter every 2-3 or even several seconds, not easy to explain how it looks like.

    Then the BSoD.

Sometimes, after 5 or 10 or 15 minutes (not every time, I can say that BSOD happens when some specific Windows, applications are started as Freshdiagnose, for example).

In the created file, after BSoD - there is message associated with atapi.sys. BSoD - driver_irql_not_less_or_equal.

Memory verified today by most recent memtest (full map), no error at all.

Card SDHC 4 GB has been all the time inside (across all the time--before even that the Seagate HDD was broken), I did not delete it at all - better to say I forgot that he was inside. I can't be sure if it has no problems, just in case - I'm the mention.

Also, I'm checking new hard drive just at this point using HD Tune - I saw progress on the screen - about half of the verified disc - no error at all.

A few days ago I tried to check the old Seagate drive, which I removed - I was able to make it through the SATA USB adapter. Lead work! I could see the file system, folders, files.

Just in case, I have trid old new hdd - without success - everything was the same he had before, frequent reboots.

I tried to explain all details related to the question, have to say - the post is great, but I just hope that there is an explanation and a solution for what has happened.

A lot of time spent on attempts to solve this problem.

Please - answer - there must be some explanation and the solution for this.

    SOLVED!

    All mentioned problems solved.

Seems that HP Compaq nw8440 does not like hard drives (understatement) by other sellers of (some). 320 hard drive, I used as a replacement for Seagate 80 GB is simply mentioned questions.

Today, I just replaced nonSeagate Seagate 500 GB hard drive. After that - completely different story.

Windows installed, very, very fast (can not be compared to what happened the previous days).

    Installing Linux tomorrow.

Laptop works fast, smooth, no delay, no slow, no BSoD, no problem.

  • Random BSOD on Satellite A500-1E4

I get random errors of the kernel data inpage / Ntfs.sys type BSOD on my psar9e Satellite A500-1E4

    Memtest is fine,

Hard drive is a ssd corsair-ish (I know, guaranteed broke probably change the disc had mistakes on the old disk)
Old drive is eSata connected and used for external storage.
the drivers are all updated, even used "Driver genius" driver-soft (I know that a lot of things malwary is hidden in programs like this but this one is legitimate)

Malwarebytes, spybot s & d and AVG give him the green light.

Got several gels without BSOD in IDE so I changed msahci beginning at 0 and bios change, so it is in ahci mode, it is more stable, but as I said I get these odd errors at irregular intervals, sometimes it can be just a few hours apart, sometimes several days.

tried to reinstall the hard disk drivers too.
    EventViewer shows nothing worth notice.

    Any ideas?

    > Edit: Oh! I forgot to mention, these problems seem to be mostly on online such as youtube and vimeo videos, and others, is not affect vlc I think, don't have not noticed them there at least. so, it is probably just a buggy flash version in my chrome browser.

  • Windows Vista blue screen 0 x 0000116 nvlddmkm.sys

    * Title *.
    nvlddmkm.sys causes BSOD

    Hello

I can't boot Vista from a week or two. Just before that the login screen should apear, it crashes into a BSOD, claiming that the problem is the driver nvlddmkm.sys.
I was checking the Internet for days now (a lot of forums), and it seems to be a 'common' problem, that occur with all the hardware and software of sorts features. I tried almost everything to fix, but nothing seems to work.

Is there a solution for this problem?

    Maarten

Compaq Presario SR1909, 7600GS, Vista Home Premium gForce.

    Hi Maarte61,

Unfortunately, I think would be the driver or the card itself. Since it worked fine, then just stopped. My best guess would be that the card is the issue. You can cancel the driver installation when you arrive at the normal mode? If so, I would try cancel and download the new driver. Or if your in "safe mode with network" I go ahead and download them and ask them to loan. So if you can cancel it, you wouldn't have to go download them. Let us know and thanks again for posting.

    Thank you

  • BSOD after Logo Windows at startup: bad driver, AutoFailover

I get BSOD after Windows Logo at startup. Said Startup Repair: bad driver, AutoFailover.

Two weeks ago, that I was getting the same BSOD after logo, but only with the bad driver. I not did something to fix it (or Startup Repair), it's just dissapeard after a few days. Also, the last day that I was getting BSOD, the night when I started my pc, it remained 2 minutes at Intel Boot Agent initialization and also 30 seconds to the black screen that follows (before the windows logo). When this situation occurs I get more BSOD. I tried to restart my pc but I stayed another 2 minutes to the Intel Boot Agent initialization. This problem has been fixed in the next morning, when I started my PC, even once, I don't know how, I did nothing. I remember that it is sometimes used to stay 2 minutes Intel Boot Agent, even when I was on Windows Vista, and it also sets automatically.
I upgraded my BIOS a few weeks before getting the BSOD, but I don't think that's the problem. In addition, there was no new driver installed before getting the BSOD, drivers have been installed after the first BSOD (even if the event viewer and the reliability monitor do not mention the first BSOD, only those who have followed the installation of the driver I know there's a BSOD before, I'm sure.)

  • The update of Windows 10 1511 reboot loop Bootcamp BSOD ACPI. SYS

It is a copy of my thread to http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-performance/windows-10-update-1511-reboot-loop-bootcamp/8653... as I was asked to post here by the Microsoft Support Engineer.

    Hello

Friday night, I went to bed with a working machine. I had a late 2013 Mac Pro BootCamp running with a Windows 10 Pro installed, the Build version before 1511.

On Saturday morning, I woke up to my PC restart itself over and over again. It seems that Windows Update has decided to put a new version of Windows 10 on my machine without my knowledge. I discovered this after restoring an acronis backup (which took a few hours because of the number of incremental backups)

Occasionally (about 1 in 20 restarts) it would blue screen with an error:

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (ACPI.sys)

But the rest of the time he would just start, flash a window for a millisecond that says (I think) winlaunch.exe, then restart.

I tried a lot of things to sort it, including:

    (1) restore from a backup, acronis to Friday morning, running sfc/scannow, and then runs the update

    (2) the creation of a recovery USB, enter the console, change the boot to legacy method, so I can F8, then goes into all security modes and mode of illegal product, but I can find where windows 10 now puts the boot log

    (3) restored from acronis, switched to mac, created a new bootcamp drivers usb, switched to windows and run the option 'fix drivers' before performing the update.

Ntbtlog.txt is not anywhere on the partition. I ran a dir /s > a.txt then open this a.txt in Notepad and searched him.

I don't know where to go from here. I can acronis restore of a windows 10 work machine the morning before installing mandatory 1511. I don't know how to delay the update no more, I noted during a restore I had delay on updates that are why it has arisen just now.

I do not know how to find where this BSOD ACPI.sys will come (even if it happens so rarely) or this that its trying to load just before it crashes (so I can try to delete the driver etc. by the front restored windows to upgrade)

I guess the widowed causes 10 to do a restore, then the restore fails.

Overall, I get at the end of my wits with this, to go a completely Windows 10 installation work Friday to more than two wasted days, restore backups, try again, rinse and repeat. It's now Monday morning and I am posting this as a ditch last attempt to solve the problem, your help would be appreciated.

If you need more information please let me know the location of the files, etc, or their names and I will do my best to have copies available for you.

I will now restore the backup again, uninstall loading of drivers, and then try the update of windows for the 4th or 5th time.

    Thanks in advance,

    Julian

Woo Hoo, I've solved the problem!

I uninstalled the drivers of graphics from AMD (with AMD Driver Cleaner) and Arcronis True Image Home 2013 at the same time, then let Windows Update run its course. Now I have a machine with Windows Version 1511 10!

It took me 4 days of downtime...

I hope this helps someone else.

  • Satellite A660-1CJ - 8.1 Windows crashes - BSOD bridge.sys

    Hello

I have a Satelite A660-1CJ, running Windows 8.1 and he already broke 5 times with a BSOD:
    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (bridge.sys)

    What can I do?

    Hello

It seems that the bridge.sys is causing the BSOD.
Bridge.sys is a Windows system component.

Toshiba says that the Windows 8.1 is not supported on Satellite A660 series.
    What does that mean?
This means that Windows 8.1 drivers are not released by Toshiba.

I assume that you have installed drivers in your own hand and probably one of the drivers causing the BSOD.
