SSD / upgrade RAM on Satellite Pro A30-C-10R

I found this little beauty and wonder, how it is easy to upgrade SSD and RAM by myself.

Thanks in advance

I don't know how many slots DIMM it is on that laptop, but by the looks of it, there is only 1. So you could get a single stick of 8 GB of RAM, would only run in single channel mode, so 64 - bit of bandwidth. Keep in mind that it uses DDR3L, so it'll be 1.35v, obtaining 1.5V RAM will not work. Take a look at the Impact of HyperX. 1600 MHz will be fine.

Upgrade SSD? should be easy.
Take a look for a kit of HyperX Savage reduction. It comes with an SSD, caddy of disk (for the old HARD disk) and cloning of 2.5 software ".

Keep in mind that while a laptop computer based skylake, is a class of U i3, so there is no computing power much at all. the 15W TDP says it all. You can run a CPU as fast as you want, but the current absorbed don't lie not. My i5 - 3230 m runs at 35W and 2.6 GHz. There is a big jump from 15W and 2.1 GHz

    Hello

Your laptop can be upgraded up to 2 GB of RAM and compatible 1 GB of RAM except the number PA3313U-1M1G. Use this number for Google search.
I hope you find somewhere. This module may not be more expensive so I recommend buying 2 of them and the upgrade of RAM maximum.

  • Upgrading RAM on Satellite Pro A120-166

    Hi guys,.

I m new on this forum and looking for a bit of technical advice. I'm looking to upgrade the memory in my Satellite Pro A120-166 to the threshold of 4 GB complete as described in the manual.

How to choose what memory to buy? Is the speed of the memory must match the FSB on the processor or what?

The online manual lists at 533 MHz FSB, but if I go into the performance of the system on my laptop, it says that it's an Intel (r) [email protected], 800 MHz, 256 MB RAM. This means that my FSB is 800 MHz?

The online manual says that my phone comes with 256 MB of ram DDR2 (533 MHz), so I'm a little lost as to what side MHz memory to buy now.

    Help, please!

    Hello

You are right about maximum RAM. You can improve it up to 4 GB.
Toshiba recommends for compatible use PA3513U-1M2G (DDR2-667 2 GB Memory Kit).

You can also use the module of Kingston. Visit their page, and you will find a list of the compatible modules.
Please don't be confused about MHz. You can use the module with 667 MHz.

  • Question about upgrading RAM on Satellite Pro A100

    Hi all

I have a Satellite Pro A100 PSAACE I want to upgrade. I currently have 1 GB of RAM in two 512 MB modules. I looked on Crucial.com and he says I need DDR2 PC2 4200 module (240 pin DIMM), but of course, they want to sell their own stuff that only comes in 1 GB modules.
So, what is the maximum amount of RAM my computer can take? I would like to have more than 2 GB in order to make my page file smaller. Is 2 GB maximum I can put in?

To be honest, I read several threads where people were not so happy with the RAMs from crucial. In my opinion, you should spend your laptop with 2 x 1 GB RAM. With 2 GB of RAM, your laptop will work fine and I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

As recommendable modules, you must use either 1 GB (PA3411U-2M1G) or module recommended by Kingston.

  • Upgrading RAM on Satellite Pro SP6100

I want to improve my RAM on my Satellite Pro SP6100. Now, I have 256 MB and in the manual it s recommended to upgrade with 128 or 256 MB. One of my friends updated his SP6100 with 256 MB. But what I m wondering if I can improve it with 512 MB. I will use the same kind o RAM he bought but 512 MB instead. It works perfectly for him and he bought a 256 MB SODIMM 200pin PC2100 DDR - RAM.

I was counting on the 512 MB SODIMM 200pin PC2100 DDR - RAM purchase.

Is it OK to do this same s if not mentioned in the manual?

    Hello Daniel

Yes you can update this unit with a module of 512 MB memory.
As far as I know this unit has 2 memory slots, and it is possible to upgrade to max 1024 MB (2x512MB).
In addition you can also use these modules:

    PC2100 128 MB (PA3126U - 1 M 12)

  • Re: upgrade Ram on Satellite Pro C650

    Hi all

    I bought a new Satellite Pro c650
    psc09a-01w021

It has 2 GB of ram (ddr3 1066)

If I had to update my ram me, if it will void my warranty?

Also... Toshiba site says it is expandable to 8 GB. If I install a 4 GB (to go with my current 2 GB) that would be nice?

    Thanks in advance

Upgrade of RAM would not affect the warranty, although you would be upgrading the RAM yourself.

  • Upgrading RAM on Satellite Pro A10

I want to upgrade the RAM on my Satellite Pro A10 - currently only 256 MB. I have a model A10-PS15E-02VPC-EN, which is P4 1.9 G - any advice on what the right extension configuration should be - I understand that I can go to 1 GB - if it was in a slot or should I get 2 modules of 512 MB and what model numbers should I expect?

    Hello

According to the specifications of the laptop you can be upgraded to 1 GB Ram max. The compatible memory modules are:
    PC2100 256 MB (PA3127U - 1 M 25) and
    PC2100 512 MB (PA3164U - 1 M 51).

In my opinion, you can get a 512 MB module and it will be enough for Windows XP Home edition operating system. You will see that this phone works much better and faster.

  • Upgrading RAM on Satellite Pro A100-840

The specification for the Satellite Pro A100 840 said that memory has a maximum of 4 GB of memory. But it does not seem to be all provided by Toshiba that allows me to level to 4 GB of memory. This current has the default 1gn that was shipped when ordered. Anyone know how to get the 1 GB to 4 GB?

Thank you in advance for any help

    Hello

I just wanted to check the specifications of the laptop but I was not able to find the Satellite Pro A100-840. Can you please check laptop model and send us the laptop model number.

In any case I really don't understand what your problem. It seems that your model of laptop can handle with 4 GB RAM max. According to your assignment, your laptop comes with 1 GB of RAM.

So if you want to use the maximum RAM on your laptop satellite, you must buy RAM 2 X 2 GB module. As far as I know, 2 GB RAM module are available and if you want to be sure of compatibility please check the Kingston products.

Please check this Kingston Memory Configurator

  • Satellite Pro A30 - RAM to help to improve the graphic system

I have a Toshiba Satellite PRO A30 and I recently went to a computer fair when I learned that I couldn't change the graphics because it is built in processor, but the guy told me I could use the RAM on my laptop (which is 1.2 GB) to improve the graphics up to 128 MB? is it true on this type of laptop, I looked everywhere on the net for how to do and say everything, it is to do so through the phoenixbios I have tried to do so but do not cause on my bios it doesn't gives not the possibility to change it, will I need an update for my bios?

    Hi Mark,

Your information is basically correct. The SA30 uses RAM shared for its graphics chip, so in principle, you can specify which part of your main RAM that you want to use for this purpose. However, the ability to specify the RAM allocation is controlled by the BIOS, and if the manufacturer of the BIOS has chosen to preselect the value of RAM graphic, then, you will not be able to change it.

I know that Phoenix BIOS allows the allocation of RAM to specify up to 128 MB (16, 32, 64 and 128 values) and it can also be defined in the properties display ("Advanced" tab), select the Frame Buffer and check which is entered for the value of the AMU.

I think that the option in the BIOS is also called UMA and appears on the second page of the BIOS update, about half way down the screen.

    Kind regards

  • Compatible BIOS ACPI for Satellite Pro A30

Hello, I have a Satellite Pro A30 which has 1 GB RAM and 2.8 GHZ P4 processor. I was wondering when toshiba would provide ACPI compatible BIOS upgrades for these machines? Because I would like to upgrade to Windows Vista, when running the Vista Upgrade Advisor, my machine will work Windows Vista professional, but I just want to use Windows Vista Basic.

So I started the upgrade of Windows XP, and once the computer is restarted to begin installation of Vista I was faced with the blue screen, indicating that my BIOS is not fully ACPI.

It seems such a shame that the machine is up to running under Vista, but Toshiba did not provide updates to bios ACPI. My bios version is 1.80.

    Any idea?

    Hi Keith

Sorry to say but I agree with the above stanislaus.
I'm wondering if this laptop has Vista capable sticker? Not?
Well well, in such cases, it of not a big surprise that Vista can not be installed.

Of course, I installed Vista on my M40 unit.
I was a lucky guy ;) But I put t expect that Vista will run on each computer on this world some laptops really supports Vista and some not :(

By the way: I found this document:
    http://support.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB7201SK002HR01.htm

Seems that the old A30 is not supported for Vista

I'm not very well if the former satellite Pro A30 is able to boot from USB drive Mr. in this case, you can try to install the OS from USB flash stick.
