  genkey generates a self-signed certificate. If you want to send to a CA for signature, then you will need to use certreq option instead. You can use an existing key file if you wish.

  I am wrkin on SOA suite 11 g. I'm tryin to implement transport-level security. All first authentication 1-way and 2-way mutual authentication. For this I have to activate the SSL for the SOA server that is managed by the administration WLS server. According to my knowledge the WLS comes with demoidentity and demotrust keystore. If I need configure SSL for server SOA do I need to create a new keystore and CA, s, or I can use keystore demo.
  
  Now, in case I need to create a new keystore that can I do the same thing using keytool utility. Also, is it possible to do this using keytool utility? If Yes, please provide me with some links on how to do the same.

  You can use the keystore Demo dev purposes, but it is NOT recommended to use demo keystore for use in production.

However, I would like to hear a few knowledgeable people about the significance which they really believe this kind of security is used for personal messaging, and how would they advised I change e-mail providers (and so hosting websites) in order to have e-mail SSL processing.   In my view any email provider offering is not SSL/TLS will soon be out of business. Already today there email providers who refuse to deliver a message to another provider's e-mail server, if the server doesn't support SSL/TLS.
  There is also a tendency to the SSL/TLS for the WWW, and we'll probably see almost 100% encryption at any given time.
  Without SSL/TLS whenever you connect to your e-mail password will be sent in clear text, as well as the messages sent and received. The revelations of Snowden in mind, you can decide for yourself if this is something that you want or not.

  The failure of the handshake could occur for various reasons:

  We have a VPS solution currently with a hosting provider. We did it purely to create an e-mail SSL solution based for send/receive.   Have you change the parameter instance admin APEX enable not HTTPS. It requires that you use the HTTPS protocol on your web listening port.

  SSL is secure socket layer. The EMP security guide mentions the steps to do this correctly. It is not necessary to have Hyperion function correctly.

  This is a more complex configuration to configure SSL. Some companies use load balancers in front of EMP to encrypt all traffic.

• vSphere SSL for the Web Client (device vCenter) certificate error

  I installed ESXi 5.5 and right once I deployed the device vCenter. After the configuration and a few reboots, I navigates to the web client, and I get this error when I try to logon:

  "Based on the current configuration, the authentication server's SSL certificate was not reliable."

  I have until this google everything on the subject and outside tutorials on how to change certificates in the Windows version of vCenter, nothing on the device of vCenter. I was happy when I found the 'Certificate regeneration enabled' checkbox, but that did not help either. I can test successfully SSO settings in the control panel of vCenter.

  Edit: I should also mention that I am not able to connect to vCenter with the vSphere client. I get the "Cannot complete the connection by incorrect username or password". I use [email protected] as user name.
