The most recent (June 2013) Java update caused this problem happen in my Internet Explorer 9. When I encountered this problem during a previous Java updated earlier this year, I managed to fix it by disabling the Java modules, as others have suggested.

I just tried the same solution again and it solved the problem again. Here is the solution I used:

Follow instructions of Tadasha Mithra (see above) in the "method 2" by steps a to c, but instead of stage d - e, I had to do the following instead: "."

d: in Internet Explorer, go to Tools, select Manage Add-ons. A window should appear listing your modules. In the drop-down "Show" menu, select "all add-ons". Reload the list of modules in the right pane.
e: scroll down the list until you get to the items listed under «Oracle, America, Inc.» Right click on each of the elements it and select 'Disable'.

The only way I could solve this problem in my IE9 was by disabling all the modules related to Java (i.e. by assigning everything that was on the "Oracle America, Inc." to "disabled"). But I'm not very teccy so you should be able to solve the problem by turning off only some of them.

If you are worried about the ability to disable it, you can see these two pages dealing with Java SSV helper doing and whether it is necessary:

    Hi Trudelle,

Thanks for joining us again with your answer.

For the particular problem I suggest you follow these methods and check.

    Method 1:

I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: During the scan of the hard drive if bad sectors are found, the scanner tries to fix this sector, all available on which data may be lost

    Method 2:

I suggest that you go on the link disable add ons and check. Here is the link for your reference.

    Follow these steps:

    a. click Start, select all programsand right click on Internet Explorer.

    b. Select run as administrator.

    c. click on allow in the box user account dialog

    d. in Internet Explorer, go to Tools, select Manage Add-onsand select Select or Disable Add-ons.

    e. here click SSVHelper class and select disable under settings, click on OK.

  • .exe file association broken

So, recently, my wife downloaded a Trojan horse that I could so successfully for the cleaning of the computer. However, he left a small problem: my association of .exe file is invalid or broken. Any time I try to open an .exe file, I wonder I want to open it with. When I saw first, I said to open "iexplore.exe" with IE. That did not work. There are .exe files, I don't know even what they look like, "ssvagent.exe" who wants to open every time that IE tries to open with IE.

There are a few ways around this, but nothing that will work for everyone or would really be a solution permanent. I can open a Word file by double-clicking on the document, but not by opening Word first. I can not open IE by clicking on the shortcut, but I can't it by opening my an article on my RSS.

From what I understand, it is a registry error - but I can't launch registry patches since I have to open them with a .exe file. I am at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, nevermind. I went to http://www.winhelponline.com/articles/105/1/File-association-fixes-for-Windows-Vista.html and downloaded the appropriate fix. However, I thought I would leave this here in case anyone else was as stupid as me.

    Thanks anyway.

  • Unable to access Internet Explorer under two of the five profiles on the same computer

I have 5 profiles set up on my computer, one for each Member of the family.  When I try to access Internet Explorer or Word in two of the profiles I am unable to run the command.  Both applications work as they always have under the other three profiles.  I double click on and 'Open with' dialog box appears with "Recommended programs."  The only option in this area is "Internet Explorer". I select the option and click on , but I find myself in a continuous loop with the "Open with" dialog box  When I finally click I get an another dialog asking me to save or run "ssvagent.exe." I am able to cancel out, but I can't even open either application.  If I select I can open the document in word, but I can't access Word from the options menu or the shortcut I used last year.  I ran a virus scan today and 5 cases have been detected and removed.  I ran the scan under 5 profiles, but now I can't access BitDefender (my virus scan) under either of the two affected profiles.  Please notify. • Unable to run .exe files - windows for the application to launch guests

When I try to launch a .exe, or .cmd file, Windows prompts you to wonder what application should I use to start the program. This happens on a single user profile on the machine, not the others. How can I fix this profile?

    Background:
My child has apparently infected the computer. Whenever I started IE, two things happened:
    1. I have tons of warning messages that the computer has been infected
    2. I had the Vista "you want to run...?" question for the c:\users\tanya\app data\local\av.exe file

I disconnected and logged on as an account administrator and then deleted the av.exe file. I have connected as a user infected, launched IE. Guests at the stop, but now I'm invited by Windows to how launch (apparently part of the java runtime) ssvagent.exe - since everything that I try to launch with a .exe or .cmd, or .com extension gives me a quick for applications to launch in. I suspect that the virus, the installation itself, not connected all the stuff.

Then... How to hang it to the top? Advice?

  • Pop Security Windows said ups 'unable to open these files. "

Original title: Pop ups Windows security

I use Windows 7 and I constantly get a message saying Windows security:

    "Unable to open these files."

"Your internet security settings prevented one or more files being opened."

    'C:\PROGRA~2\Java\JRE18-1.0_6\bin\ssvagent.exe '.

I don't know how to stop this message, I would appreciate it if you would help me.

This error seems to be a very old mistake of Java associated with Vista.  I don't know why you should get it now with Windows 7.

Start by going here to ensure that you have the latest version of Java and have removed all previous versions--> http://java.com/en/download/installed8.jsp

If this does not help, remove all versions of Java--> http://java.com/en/download/faq/remove_olderversions.xml

Restart the computer and then download and install the latest version.

  • Windows7: "User Account control" associated with Java FX message

In the window 7 machine, while launching interent explore 'User Account control' in connection with Java FX message.

    Environment:
    Windows 7 operating system
    JRE 1.6 U26
    JavaFX Runtime 2.0

It is noted that the problem occurs after installation of JavaFX runtime.

Can you advice how to fix this?

    What is ssvagent.exe?

If so, then this is known issue and unfortunately not much can be done about it on the end user.

Behind the scenes, ssvagent is the tool to fix registry problems if a sensitive security misconfiguration is detected.
To correct the registry, he needs the elevated permissions. However, under normal circumstances registry didn't need to be corrected
and users do not see the UAC prompt. However, due to bugs in the Installer (JRE6) some entries registry gets crushed on JRE install/update
and ssvagent of JavaFX installation detects. There was also a problem with the installer of FX do not fix some keys in some circumstances and then ssvagent detects
update of the register is necessary. Later problem should be solved now (from JavaFX 2.0.2 I think).

Hope later updates to JRE6 JavaFX friendly too.
