ST Service Scheduling has stopped working.

ST Service.exe - Unable to locate component.  This application has failed to start because STLog.dll is not found.  Reinstalling the application may fix the problem.  I don't know which application under install.  I have a new Dell Inspiron 1545.  I know that there is a discussion about this.  I wonder if there anything else I can do.

Aortic.
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

This file seems to be part of the backup program Dell that comes pre-loaded on your system.  You can uninstall in Control Panel, programs and features, but I would contact Dell to make sure you have a copy of it to reinstall or you can download a copy of their website if you don't have on CD.

Let us know if you need more information.

You know what, before starting to look for the solution and spent hours playing that I advise you to install the OS by using HARD drive recovery option. Reinstall the OS and check if everything is working well with the factory settings.

In the past, I did several times and immediately after the new installation, everything worked fine.

Who knows what you have done with your machine. All we has own way to configure and optimize the operating system to use. Maybe you have turned off something. Who knows? It is not easy to offer a concrete solution to this.
Reinstall the OS and verify functionality without changing anything. I am 100% on it will not work properly.

  • Toshiba Service Station has stopped working - Satellite L500 PSLS0A

I have a Toshiba Satellite L500 PSLS0A-019002 with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed that I received as a gift from two months ago.

Apart from some do not like the weird and useless (to me) Windows Vista / 7 functions, the Office I get the error message "Toshiba Service Station has stopped working" who proceeds to find a solution, but apparently never find one because this situation repeats itself whenever I start.

On another thread in the forums of Toshiba, someone suggested to download the independent utility called Toshiba Service Station and put it back. I see no such utility listed on the page of downloads for my Toshiba model. Because I don't know what the Toshiba Service Station did (unless it goes by another name - Toshiba Bulletin Board perhaps?), I don't know what causes the error or how to fix.

Does anyone have a more accurate solution?

As the user above has said, you can remove it. It is not important utility and does not have a big problem in your system.

  • Task Scheduler has stopped working

This message is displayed every time that I plug in an external display on my Dell D430 laptop device.  My Microsoft wireless keyboard stops working, like the mouse.  The display used to propose automatically sized correctly, but now it doesn't either.
This also happens when I use the docking station.  Sometimes, the USB ports do not see my external devices that occur, as well.

    JimPuerto,
There is a task in Task Scheduler called TMM (Microsoft transient multi-monitor Manager).   Try to go into the Task Scheduler and disabling TMM (Microsoft transient multi-monitor Manager).

To access the Task Scheduler in Vista, go to the Start Menu and type Task Scheduler in the search box.  In the "Task Scheduler Library", select Microsoft-> Windows-> MobilePC.   "TMM" right click and select "disable."  You will need sign out and then sign back in to make the changes take effect.

  • Toshiba Service Station & cfFncEnabler has stopped working

From the start I get 2 error messages.

Firstly said that Toshiba Service Station has stopped working and then cfFncEnabler stopped working. Windows looking for a solution and will notify you when a is found.

    Close the program.

Any ideas as to why and what can I do about these?

    Hello

Hmmm maybe there is something wrong with both applications
In such cases, it s always advisable to reinstall applications recommend

The Toshiba Service Station is a stand-alone application and can be downloaded from the Toshiba driver page
The cfFncEnabler seems to be a program that controls the FN keys.
So, you will need to reinstall the tools that control the FN keys

As far as I know this is a utility of Toshiba Flash Cards and VAP.

I have spent a week on this problem, looking all over the internet and doubt that someone knows enough to solve this problem. I've been a software engineer for 30 years and never worked on an operating system such as buggy windows Vista (or windows)

    has ran defrag and
    has ran chkdsk

has run hardware diagnostics - no problem

I tried with and without firewalls and AV running.
I don't run AVG control and malware - no problem

    Windows Update always fails.

    Hey Joe,

I see that you have updated your drivers.

Have you updated your chipset for this PC drivers?

Are you overclocking PC or running a RAID configuration?

I suggest to remove all external devices during the diagnostic process, except the keyboard, mouse and monitor.

If you think this error is with IE, you can try running it without Add - ons.

Alternatively, you can try to reset the Internet Explorer settings.

Here is some information on this process:
