• Windows Update will download but not install. However, stand-alone updates will install fine.

  Download updates very well, but after that, they fail to install immediately. It seems to go so fast that he does not even try to install downloaded updates. I did everyting for repair/upgrade to update / save the components associated with the windows updates and microsoft Setup. I also deleted the cache update and downloaded fresh copies of the updates, but still no instlal. I even did a repair install on xp at a given time. The machine had a malware infection, but I healed part, including purging the master boot record and wiping the boot sector. I am really puzzled at that time and any direction would be greatly appreciated.

We have removed a CC of Adobe Acrobat, uninstalled version Adobe CS6, while reinstalling CS6 on the wire support has lost connection (I have been cut). They don't have to remember or even send me an e-mail. So, I am myself with your help. Already found this help Adobe with reference to the CC cleaning tool and downloaded the application. Read the instructions, but was reluctant to use it fear that I have problems with a functional version of CS5. Seems that Adobe is so obsessed by getting creative cloud that they failed to give the instruction to stand only users in their Cloud customers creative dialog box. Just for grins, I chose option "Have a different Adobe ID?" (already created my ID years ago). A new dialog box will appear asking you a serial number. Copied and pasted my serial number, then I think I received a thank you from Adobe and magic all my new CS 6 software is now validated and work. Hope it will be useful for others who are done with digital subscriptions as Adobe Creative cloud. I hope that Adobe will give us the support users only support a break when it comes to technique. I don't want to think creatively in a cloud.

  Try to install the update in safe mode and see if you are able to install. Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.

  To start in safe mode, follow the steps below:

  1. remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer.

  Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.

  2   , do one of the following:

  ·         If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. • How an I download and update my Lightroom 6 stand-alone version?

  I'm trying to update my Lightroom (6.3) stand-alone version.  When I click on HELP and UPDATES, he waved me creative cloud initially and seems to start automatically updating creative cloud (which I disagree with).  Now, it does nothing.  It seems in the past that I just downloaded the updated version and installed; However, I can't find a link anywhere.  Can someone help me please?  I have no interest in a subscription service.  I want just the latest version of the Lightroom stand-alone version.

  This is the same download for Lightroom 6 and Lightroom CC. I can't tell you what to do that signature is concerned because I've never used Lightroom 6. I've only used Lightroom CC.   Hi Nick,

  Dislike for the splash screen is understandable - but no need to go back to older versions. You can change the splash screen for an image of your choice. I created a tutorial showing how to do this (it's written for LR5, but my customization of splash screen has carried over from LR5 LR6 to the LRCC):

  I bought a stand alone Lightroom 6 months because I didn't subscribe to CC.  I'm afraid that may have been a BIG mistake and a waste of money because Adobe seems not to be interested in supporting 6 Lightroom.  I'm upset because I can't open the raw files of my new Canon 80 d.  I see that a fix to make it work for Lightroom CC.  But what about me?

  My husband figured out how do:

  We have uninstalled Lightroom 6.4 of our computer and reinstalled Lightroom 6 from the original disc.  Then we downloaded the setup.dmg to keep updated in Lightroom and it ran.  However, it has installed the version isn't 6.5.1 it is only 6.5.  Don't know why this is.  It's ok, but because I can now import my Canon 80 d raw files.
