standard or XL ink jet cartridge?

I use the standard 74 black cartridge HP inkjet for 'everyday' home print on my Officejet J6480 printer.  Can I use the 74XL cartridge in my printer even though it is marketed as a "cartridge value for high volume printing?  I do not feel "high volume" but want to save money.    It's like buying a gallon of milk instead of paying more for 4 pints.  I want to just make sure that the 'gallon' will agree and will work in my printer.  Thank you

"Large volume" is relative.  Yes, you can use XL cartridges, they are the same physical size.  The cartridges 'standards' are really suitable for people who do not print a lot at all, where a cartrdige XL may fail before pension ink is used.  If you are using a standard cartridge in less than three months the cartrdiges XL would probably be a better value for you.

Sifting through my late father, I came across these 3 laser jet ink cartridges. My mother no longer has the printer those cartridges go. Is it possible that we can send them to you for a partial refund. Of course we have no receipt, and they are at least 4 to 6 months old. Thank you for your attention to this issue.

Let me first off the coast with I'm a volunteer and do not work by HP but here's my thoughts.

First of all, let me say I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your father, my father died many years ago.

Without a receipt, you don't know if your dad bought these at HP or from another source.

If you can determine where they were bought you a chance at returning to a kind of credit, or even possibly a refund.

If they were paid for with a credit card, you may be able to find the purchase on a credit card bill.

If all else fails you could go to an eBay dealer and at least get a bit of money for them.

  • INK JET CARTRIDGES

I had a printer P513w for which I have replacement series 22 Dell cartridges. I have now bought a V313w who seems to have the same print as the P513 head.

I note, however, that the cartridges are labeled "series 21" for the V313w and "series 22" for the P513w. "." As these cartirdges are quite expensive is it possible to use the series 22 and 21 interchangeably? I also notice that the other cartridges are humbered series 24, they seem to work in series 22 P513w print head.

    Someone at - it suggestions?

    Hello

The difference between 21 series and series 22 Dell ink cartridges is that series 21 cartridges are cartridges Standard series 22 cartridges are cartridges - Hi. Both series can be used for the V313W, P513W printers.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Can I extend the life of my unopened for my deskjet 722C HP ink jet cartridges?

I use my 'old' printer HP deskjet 722C with a Windows 7 system.  I'm afraid that HP can stop making the cartridges for this printer because it is old (I bought it in 1999).  It still works perfectly & I would like to continue to use it until the support for Windows 7 ends in 2020.

Is there an expiration on HP cartridges for this printer?  If so, is it possible I can extend shelf life in the way that I store them?

Because without opening it (still in packaging) cartridges then I suggest somewhere cool and dry, rather than in the fridge. 8 years is long if, then, of course, there is no guarantee on what condition the ink would be at that time. As they say, nothing lasts forever! (sounds like a song title

I would say just to buy on an as need basis. They should still be available for purchase for some time that there is still a lot of people out there with compatible printers.

BTW, there is a link below with the specifications for the cartridge HP45 (has any info on maintenance & storage)

  • Install the codes on the ink jet cartridge bag

I have a new HP 57 cartridge which, somehow, separated from its retail box. So, I don't remember what date to install over.  There are a series of code numbers on the sealed bag containing the cartridge but no date. They used to have dates like "AUG10" printed on them, but not more, I guess. Can someone give me some cryptographic previews for this? Thank you.

In my view, that the 101227 is the date of manufacture in the YYMMDD format.  The install by date would be 18 months later, in this case to June 2012.  The warranty date is also indicated on the cartridge as shown here.  Be aware that there is no "expiration" for the actual cartridge date; the date is the expiration of the warranty.  The cartridge itself can continue to work well beyond the expiration of the warranty.  This is different from some models of cartridge that will refuse to print beyond the expiration date.

  • How can I remove ink jets if my all-in-one is broken and does not light?

My hp officejet pro8600 than n911g was struck by lightning.  It will turn is no longer.  I used a new cord without result.  I need to remove the ink jets, I recently installed.  How can I access them without power?

It is possible that the printer was not fried, but the power may need to be reset.  Watch this video for sure:

If the printer is really fried, remove the front panel to access the cartridge Board and force it to the left.  Since you printer is not repairable, you lose nothing.

  • Levels of HP C7280 ink & put cartridge software/driver?

Since the day one on my renovated with printer all-in-One extended warranty C7280 cartridge estimated ink level have indicated/felt empty.  At the time and after replacing the printer once again I finally learned by a supervisor of the support phone HP that the factory provided ink cartridges were special and because they were not full, first, estimated ink levels would be would not read.  so... I waited and waited and finally black ink ran out and I replaced it with a new cartridge in date, which worked well but unfortunately its estimate of read ink level empty too.  so... I continued to wait and finally Magenta and Light Magenta down dry and I replaced with cartridges date and still none of the ink level estimates register.

Although I suspect something wrong with the printer along the cause is it possible I neglected/was unaware of a simple fix to get these read levels now?

I read the levels of ink directly from the screen on the printer.  No need to use the software Connectivity PC side.  Besides, because of other unresolved problems I uninstalled software applications and uses only the drivers.  This leads to the second question/problem...

After the support of futile attempts to fix wireless phone another supervisor told me that HP has been in the weeks, releasing an update of the v12 for my printer software.  He had lied because this v12 software released on other printers, but not the C7280 and its nearest summer for one year.  I would like to know if anyone knows what are the intentions of HP?  V12 will be always available for the C7280?

Unfortunately, with HP I found it much easier to ignore the problems I had and work around them then spend time futile with offshore technical support.  What a WASTE of the industry does discover offshore support at low cost.  They got what they paid for and we had trouble.

Progress...  There is a simple solution for ink cartridge levels is displayed not correctly - only vacuum for the last 10 months.  However, there was no reason given as to why HP does.  A few days ago, a phone tech took me by making a hard printer factory reset where you unplugged the uinit, then all by pressing the "6" and keys ' # ' plug the power back in.  For the first time that the ink levels read their correct estimates and the self-assessment report showed these values too.

Unfortunately with the fluid level reading this thread to find out that 3 of the 6 spare ink cartridges I bought 10 months ago and had to start using some 2 months ago where not full.  In fact the yellow cartridge I replaced two days ago to read only 53% full immediately.

I tried to get HP to compensate me for these three cartridges partially filled and finally spoke to a support engineer in the United States without result.  However she told me that these renovated C7280 printers have been sent with the function of liquid ink level disabled on purpose but did not say why.  She said that the early support should have reset the printer 10 months ago, I agree.

In the end, Office Max, where I bought the original printer, exchanged the three ink and cartridges for the first time the icons on the screen of the printer ink cartridge all disappeared.  In fact, I thought it was now a new problem, but apparently that's normal when all cartridges are more than 50% or so full - at least that's what said this same technical support engineer.  And for the first time, the self-assessment report has listed all levels of ink to 100%.  Is everything working now?  Time will tell.

(So restore the printer to Ethernet and using only the printer drivers base v 10 [no printer installed software apps] I don't have to reset the router periodically during print jobs wouldn't last and I feel a printer real reliability back finally.)  It's also I think as my first post here in the forum HPs I checked "resolved."  Also...  I do not work for HP... "and do not like their offshore phone support).
