Standard user needs access to the protected admin program

My older games, Mabinogi online, but it requires my password each time until he could play. Is anyway around this without giving my password? This means that yes there is a problem of trust involved. We have just recovered from a massive virus infestation and do not want a repetition.

Hello
In addition to the response of Mick Murphy, check this:

Step 1: To run the game or any program as an administrator, try the following steps.
1. right click on the game launch icon or program, and then click Properties.
2 click the Compatibility tab and choose "run this program as an administrator", under the privilege level.
3. apply the changes.
4. open the icon and provide the administrator credentials and keep identification information.
5. Once opened the game the next time the user will be able to continue without entering credentials.

Step 2: Install the program or game for all users.
A lot of programs or games have the option to choose to install the game or program for all users on the computer.
1. install the game using the Setup file.
2. follow the instructions in the wizard; Select for all users on the computer.
3 complete the installation.

Step 3: Copy the shortcut icon of game launch on the standard user desktop.
1 copy the shortcut icon of launching a game from the user admin account and paste it into the Office of standard user account. The location to paste the copied icon is: C:\Users\\Desktop
2. run the game and check the result.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards
Syed

Compacted Outlook Express and save some of my emails.  Now, I need access to the following, but can not open them.  How to reopen these emails?

    Hi Redtiger1705,

Lost emails immediately after compact preforming?
If so, Outlook Express creates BAK files before compaction. They are copied there as a precaution, in case something goes wrong with the compaction. The following steps should help those rear:

    1) open Outlook Express and go to tools, Options, maintenance, store folder. Copy the entire path to the storage folder, and then click OK.  Close Outlook Express.

    (2) go to the basket and search for all files with the .bak extension.  Restore the most recent .bak files. That he will put in the OE store folder, but still like a BAK file.

    (3) click on start, run and paste the path that you copied in step 1 in the run box, and then press ENTER.

    4) click Tools, Folder Options. In the Folder Options window, click the view tab.
    (5) less advanced, uncheck the "Hide extensions for known file types".
    (6) you should see the two sent a Sent Items.dbx from the file as well as the Items.bak. Rename the Sent Items.DBX to Sentold.dbx and Rename Items.Bak sent to Sent Items.DBX. When you open OE, your messages sent items must be restored.

How do access you the list of programs that start when you start your computer?

First of all, note that you should be concerned all the programs
starts automatically, not only those who enter in the system tray.
Not all the programs auto-start manifesting by an icon in the
    Status bar.

On each program, you don't want to automatically start, check its
Options to see if he has the choice of not start (make sure you)
Indeed choose not to run, not just a "don't show icon.
Optional). Many can easily and better be arrested like that. If that is not
work, run MSCONFIG from the start. Run the line, and then click the Startup tab.
Uncheck the programs that you do not want to automatically start.

However, if I were you, I wouldn't do it just for the application of
the minimum number of running programs. Despite what many people say
You should be concerned, not with the way that a lot of these programs
you run, but who. Some of them can degrade performance severely, but
others have no effect on performance.

Don't stop all programs to run willy-nilly. What you need to do
is to determine what each program is, what its value is up to you which
the performance cost is its running all the time. You can try
Internet search and ask questions about the details here.

Once you have this information, you can make a smart informed
decision on what you want to keep and what you want to get rid of.

  • Hi all, how can restrict us and end from 'a droping table' user but need access to the 'workshop of data' to load the data into the spreadsheet.

    Hi all

How can we limit and end user of "droping a table."

For example: I created an array of login admin and gave access to "SQL workshop" for the end user. but after that I have created a table, the end user cannot access object browser shop and drop a table. one thing we can do does not have access to the SQL workshop. However, my requirement is the user needs to access the data workshop, which is located under the SQL workshop but they it should not access the tables.

There is no way not to restrict access to individual tools in the workshop of SQL. Rather than give the developer-level end-users to access the SQL workshop, create applications containing data support Wizards, where end-user access can be controlled using the standard APEX authentication and authorization schemas.

  • Only the user is a Standard user, how do I get an admin account?

    Hello

    Windows 7 Pro

When I set up this new computer, I created the main account as a standard user. Bad move. Now when I try to make changes, I invited him UAC with an inactive "Yes" button. It is said to enter an administrator password - it is not one that I know. I'm not able to use the cmd as administrator either. I have to reinstall Windows to fix this? I tried several suggestions that I found on the web (safe mode, etc.) and nothing gets done by the UAC.

    Thank you!

    OT:

Only the user is a Standard user,

Sorry, I have reflected on something else when I wrote 'choice 4 '.

First, note the comment at the top of the page I linked to:

Theoretically if you do not have an administrator account, the built-in Administrator account should be available in safe mode (see also related articles). For any identified reason, the built-in Administrator sometimes to be unavailable in safe mode.

So, the first thing to do is to reboot safe mode and see if the built-in Administrator account is here.  I will not delete my Admin accounts to test this situation.

Assuming that the built-in Administrator account is NOT available in Mode safe...

The link I gave you, the two method I (32-bit only) and method II require you to "open a command prompt at startup" and give a link for directions to do so.  If you go to this link, there is a 'Option One' which uses the installation of Win 7 disc and a 'Option 2' that tells you to use the menu of Boot Options to boot into "Safe Mode with command prompt."

However, Safe Mode with command prompt not automatically you will get an account with computer administrator privileges, and I suspect that you will not be able to make registry changes suggested that way, despite the generally good reputation of sevenforums.com.   So, use the Windows 7 installation DVD to display the "System Recovery Options" and then select "Command Prompt" there.

Assuming that you do not receive the built-in administrator enabled account, log in, create a new account and give administrator privileges.  If you intend to use this account for anything other answering the UAC guests, create a second administrator account, "just in case."

Finally, open an elevated command prompt (right click > run as administrator) and use the following command to disable the built-in Administrator account:

NET user administrator / active: No.

  • that allows standard users change ppp settings, removing UAC admin fast pwd to DPIscaling.exe

I am currently using windows vista ultimate 64-bit with an installed nvidia geforce 8800 gtx card. I'm the ADM on the machine, with the standards users who connect it. My account of adm does not have the problem. I'm trying to find a way to allow standard users on the machine to have the ability to change the ppp settings.

The path of the file is C:\Windows\System32\DpiScaling.exe

I tried to use the solution listed on this site: http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/window-on-windows/?p=635

and used the Application Compatibility Toolkit.  I used a lot of different options, the 32-bit version, 64-bit, different boxes, without success. When you click right on the file properties and click on the Compatibility tab, it says:
Cannot be set on this program compatibility modes because it is part of the Windows version.

I have a standard users also granted full control of the executable, and if the logged-on user account, he got always invited him to enter the administrator credentials. I understand that this only gives the user access to the file and not what the file does.

I need to find a solution to allow standard users on the computer to change the DPI settings without the need of the admin password.  While looking for solutions here and on the site of regular microsoft (support.microsoft.com) support, all I could find are methods that disable the guests of UAC elevation and ways to disable UAC completely.    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7security/thread/0364515a-301e-47C5-AF99-39347b83c6b4-je don't want to do that.  I even tried and the standard user has always invited to enter an admin password.  I don't want to disable UAC or the guests of elevation, surprisingly these guests don't mind.   The computer is set to high resolution and need to continually change the DPI setting to enable the second monitor (my HDTV) text output in a format that is clear and correct.  The reason why we have change back is because the cursor of the mouse in the PC video games being played here on disappears when the DPI is set to what higher than normal / default. So before any game is played, the DPI settings in windows settings must be changed to the default / normal.

Since I was the user only administrator on the machine, I am concerned when other users would like to play their games. but can not, because I am not present.  I want to be the only Admin account on the machine.  Bad things tend to happen when I allow other users are administrators on the machine.

Your question is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited to the security of Windows Vista on TechNet. Please ask your question in the TechNet forum.

  • Standard user can connect to the new network wireless only in local mode - no Internet pass through by the router.

My wife now takes a laptop (HP Pavilion) with her on a business trip.  The computer that runs Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit SP2 with all updates.  I have his set as a standard user account, just to keep him out of trouble.  However, with his own account, it can connect to a new wireless network, like a hotel or business she visits could offer.  But, invariably, she gets access 'local only' - no pass Internet through connectivity.  I had to give him the information of my account as an administrator, and then she is able to connect without difficulty.

Of course, this isn't an ideal situation - standard user must be able to connect to the Internet through a new wireless network.  Otherwise, I should be able to change his account in such a way that it can be given to this authority without necessarily opening the entire system and its related vulnerabilities.
    Any help, suggestions or solutions?

    Hello

  • How to prevent standard users from access to certain folders?

I use Windows vista Ultimate OS, and I have two users on my laptop namely, administrator and Standard user.

I don't want the standard user to see some of my personal records.
Please help me, how can I do this. ???

Password protect your account.  Users can log on their but yours is inaccessible to them.

Go to start and click the icon at the top right which will take you to user accounts.

Click on create a password for your account.

  • Standard user cannot access program (event id 882) installed on windows 7 home 64 bit.

It's driving me crazy.  Whenever a user attempts to open a program already installed, nothing happens.  The event viewer displays the event id 882.  The laptop is running windows 7 home so it doesn't have the local security policy that I can change.  How to disable this check or allow the program is accessible by standard users?

I solved the problem.  I downloaded and installed gpedit.msc following the instructions here - http://www.askvg.com/how-to-enable-group-policy-editor-gpedit-msc-in-windows-7-home-premium-home-basic-and-starter-editions/

Once this was done, I was able to change the policy to allow the user to access the new application.
  • A standard user to log into the account has been deleted. How can I recover it?

    Connect user account deleted

In an effort to remove a viral program, a standard user file was accidentally deleted. Now my grandson is unable to open a session. Administrator accounts are not affected. Only the standard user account.  How can I get the file back. No, this isn't in the trash

I don't know if you understand. Miss him not the account, just the file system which allows me to log into it.  Administrators can connect but not standards users - the standard, same new.

You don't say what happens when a newly created user cannot connect.
If a newly created user cannot connect even when typing the password (which should be easy to test, for example 123456) then your accounts database is damaged. By using the restoration of the system to a point when new accounts still worked would solve the problem.
  • 11.1.2.3 jdev how do I prevent users from access to the URL Taskflow

We have a taskflow that has the parameter url-invoke-authorized.

This taskflow takes 2 parameters - entity Id and mode

In the form of research corresponding to this entity, we have 2 buttons - view and edit.

If the mode is edit (Edit set button on the search screen), detail of the page opens in edit mode. If she is seen details of the page opens in read-only mode.

We have an obligation to not show the button change on the entity if the entity is defined as 'ReadOnly' in the database. I was able to do it easily on the search page.

But if the user is very intelligent and open new browser and stick the URL of the taskflow with 'Edit' as the mode setting, so I need to somehow implement the logic above - which is to check if the entity to which it wants to change is not read only status... otherwise I have to change the mode as 'View' setting and open the taskflow programmatically.

    How can this be achieved?

The router has no definition of the page, but if you right-click on it and select go to definition of page it will create one for you. How do you check entityStatus? Why not put this logic in your implementation of the entity object or a transient attribute? Then you expose the attribute in your VO, and then you just need to get the definition of the page in your router. Once it is in the definition page you can use to select the activity you need to flow to go.

  • Do I need an IP NIC of each Esxi host address?  VMs needs access to the storage network?

    Hi all

The issue go, I have a host machine with 3 nic cards - > 1 for production network, 1 for the management network and 1 for the network backup.

The guest PC VM inside will be connected to the 3 network,

But for the host himself, will be used for management and backup only.

T1) is the bears from production on the need for level ESXI host having an IP address as well?

    =================================================================

Right of Q2) now my host use internal storage. If I'm to migrate to a SAN storage, I have 1 more network for storage.

I understand that the configuration of virtual machines and their data are assigned and stored in the data store that is made visible at the level of the host.

They must for the virtual machines access the data store, join the storage network as well? or they are access to the storage through the host

    ================================================================

    Kind regards

    Noob

T1) is the bears from production on the need for level ESXI host having an IP address as well?

A NIC itself does not require an IP address. Which IP addresses are required for VMkernel port groups (for example, networking, vMotion, storage access,...) as well as virtual machines.

Right of Q2) now my host use internal storage. If I'm to migrate to a SAN storage...

No, a virtual machine (i.e. the guest operating system) does not require access to the system of storage, only the ESXi host.
