Standard VGA Graphics adapter?

Can't find the right driver or a driver for the VGA adapter. I have reinstalled Windows 7 x 64 on my E420 (1141-CTO). I have a processor i7 - 2629M. I get a "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device because a previous instance of the device driver is still in memory. (Code 38) "error. I'm not too knowledgeable about i7. I was a user of Dell before that. Thanks to all those who might have some advice. Chris

Hi Kurio71 and welcome to the community,

Install the system update and run it.  He must find and install the drivers you need.

Before you reinstall an operating system, you must copy the drivers on a flash drive folder if you do not have to hunt around for them after reinstalling.

    Hello:

Because it is the switchable graphics of amd/intel driver, it's the only one you can use.

It's a custom driver and it's the only one that works on your laptop.

If you download the file, use 7 - zip to unpack in the folder and run the file setup.exe from there.

    Hello:

You need this driver for the card reader (base system device).

In order to provide the correct graphic driver, I need to know if your laptop's graphics card Intel or AMD/Intel switchable graphics.

If there is just a standard vga card listed, then you probably need just the driver intel graphics.

    Hello:

I don't know a lot about the switchable graphics, but let's try something.

I'm afraid that if you run the complete driver package, it can destroy the installation driver for HD 5xxx series.

    Then, try this...

Download driver AMD support page and the driver of your laptop.  Do not run it.

Use the free 7-zip files extraction utility to extract the driver to a folder.

Link to 7 - zip below.

    http://7-zip.org/download.html

After you let 7-Zip extract the .exe file to a folder, go to the Device Manager and click on your device ATI 4200 problem. Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select Browse my computer for the software method and find the 7-zip folder extracted.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and hopfully the driver install and not tear your discrete HD 5xxx video card.

I'm not the one who works the HDMI out port. Only one of them would be, I think.

  • Dell Precision M90 recently upgraded to x 64 Win7 can not get correct graphics, stuck with the Standard VGA Graphics Adapter Card

I have a Dell Precision M90 laptop and recently upgraded to Vista 32 bit to 64 bit Windows 7.  Everything worked perfectly, except for my display drivers.  Windows 7 installed a driver called Standard VGA Graphics Adapter.  This driver has a very low resolutions only and cannot deal with games or same Aero.

I had an experience with updated video drivers with Vista.  My graphics card is a NVIDIA Quadro FX 2500 M.  When I had Vista there is no Vista compatible driver for this card, so I used the Geforce 7900GTX driver (which is inspired by the FX 2500 M) and it worked fine.  Of course, the Quadro FX 2500 M doesn't have a driver compatible windows 7.

I downloaded the driver for the 64 - bit Windows 7 Geforce 7 series so I could upgrade and use, however when I used the NVIDIA installer it says that my computer has no compatible hardware for this driver (I tried to install it in Vista compatibility as well).  I tried to force the upgrade by using the option "have disk" and choosing the .inf directly file.  This did not always and said that he could not work because "the selected driver for this device does not support this version of Windows" even if it is the version of Windows 7.

I also tried to start my computer in safe mode, uninstall the VGA Standard driver and then install the driver NVIDIA, but it does not work either.

Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to add as much information as possible I hope to solve this problem.  Thank you for taking a look and thanks for your suggestions!

Fixed!  Finally!  Dell.com took the pilot... but the link that they had posted on the page of Precision M90 was mislabeled.  I tried another way, found the good pilot, and got, it works.  Solved the days and days of frusturation.

  • Display the adapter set to Standard VGA Graphics Adapter on Aspire AX3950

    Hello

I have an Aspire AX3950 supplied with Windows 7 Home. I had to recreate the image on the computer to Windows 7 Professional so I could install Visual Studio 2013. I got my MSDN subscription software.

After successfully reimage the computer, the system only recognizes one of my monitors. It worked correctly with the same two monitors before updating windows. I checked the graphics card and it shows "Standard VGA Graphics Adaper". It was my mistake of not checking the adapter before the system update. From what I found on the internet this AX3950 has a graphic card coupled with the motherboard. My question is, how do I get the original graphics card working again?

    drivers can be found here:

    http://us.Acer.com/AC/en/us/content/drivers/2187;-; Longs % 20 X 3950

What is your VGA, click twice on the standard VGA adapter on Device Manager, select the tab "details" in the menu drop down choose 'hardwareIDs', select the first channel, copy and paste in google and see if it is Intel, nvidia or ATI.

Then select the proper drivers from the link above.

It is the driver, you must install the smbus controller.

You can try this directly from Intel. You want the first file in the list.

  • VGA graphic adapter code 10 standard

I have HP Pavilion g4-1357tx, running 32-bit Windows 7 Ultimate Edition.

In the Device Manager > graphics cards > Standard VGA Graphics adapt, the status is "this device cannot start (Code 10)".

What could cause this? What should I do to fix this?

Another question, I also AMD Radeon HD 6400 M on that laptop, but my laptop cannot detect it. It only detects Intel HD Graphics Family and Standard VGA Graphics Adapter. What should I do for AMD Radeon could be detected?

    Hello

    Try the following.

First of all, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    Driver Chipset.

When this has completed, restart the laptop.

When windows has completely recharged, download and install the AMD software on the link below - as you have switchable graphics, this will also reinstall the Intel driver.

    The AMD Software Installer.

Yet once, once done, reboot the laptop.

    Kind regards

  • HP a1250n, radeon xpress 200 question after replacing the CPU, Standard VGA Graphics goes not down

Recently, I messed up my CPU and bought a replacement (exact same kind). I am running windows 7 ultimate and for about 6 months prerequisites with no problems. After replacing the CPU I get intermittent lock ups, sometimes with a small portion of the screen flashes. I say intermittent but at least every 15-20 minutes. Different programs, different habits, but still the screen freezes.

I went in and deleted the driver under graphics cards, pick a 'completely remove the option' - it after restarting the system on its own charged for a Standard VGA Graphics Adapter and since there is then no more accidents. Of course the functionality is not as complete, large icons and such, but it works.

If it certainly seems to point to a driver conflict I think. But for this machine, is there ever any single Vista Windows 7 driver. My skills are not so, but I'm moving.

    Any guidance?

    Hello

Yes, your PC has integrated graphics controller: ATI Radeon XPress 200, we don't find drivers compatible Windows 7 ATI.

The BEST OPTION: Buy a video card, then insert it into slot PCI Express 16 on the motherboard to better display and multimedia performance with Windows 7 to a value using else, it looks just like Windows XP

    Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

    See you soon.
