  • ASCTray.exe system error of the program cannot start because rtl120.bpl is missing

Upgrade to Firefox 6, he stopped the problem of connection to internet calling Netflix connection.  Same thing with Chrome and IE8.  Web search proposed that Silverlight was the culprit. I uninstalled FF6, reinstalled FF5, uninstalled Silverlight4, reinstalled version 3 and still get the window pop up announcing the message of ASCTray.exe, rtl120.bpl is missing. What I can see, so far, seems to work, except my NetFlix, which is the most important for me. Anyone out there that meet? I called the place that put my modest computer together for me, and he suggested that I do not use the installation disc that would erase everything out and suggested I do just this, ask around. Thanks to you all. Ratguard

I'm sorry, my comment above omitted a step in recovering the Netflix. It goes: start > run > programdata % > microsoft > playready > then the page containing: mspr.bdds > delete. That's what she said. Ratguard.

  • not found rtl120.BPL

Wow, nobody had it before? OK, this is what I get to start up with Windows Vista SP2 (or whatever the updates I have these to auto).

I get a dialog box indicating

ASCTray .exe cannot locate component: this application has failed to start because rtl120.bpl not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this.

Then I get another box that says: unable to find the IMF.exe component: this application has failed to start because rtl120.bpl not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this.

A bit of background. I have installed IObit to promote games. I also installed Glary Utilities and worked through some of his routines. I started noticing when I closed a game (and even randomly) the desktop icons under an icon to an icon of white paper and it was now a .lnl instead of the .exe association association. I was not able to "hold" on a game since reinstalled program. Guys do you have an idea where I can get a clean copy of the programs I need to have (see above) or y at - it a 'service' I should have running (the control panel / admin / services) that maybe I have disabled due to IObit 'optimize' of games that did not get back to it original state? I know the printer and it dependencies have been closed, when I "boosted" for the games.

so did as directed, BUT have made research more and found GameHouse games are not all compatible with Vista. Then run backward as did. I also noticed another "profile" has been inserted and had certain permissions. I deleted that there's just me and my husband using this computer. I have not used a remote access lately. I also saw my cursor rolls over my screen from the other day. I hope I have that stop. I can run the games I want using the "run as administrator", so to speak, and I'm okay with that. I don't know for sure if the rtl120.bpl not found problem is resolved, but have been able to play the games. I'm glad that I do not use this computer for many and is not on a network. Will keep you posted. Kat

  • What is rtl120.bpl and what is xpcom cannot load means?

Moved Windows | Windows 7 | Devices and drivers

at the start of my laptop. I am running windows 7. It is said that rtl120.bpl is missing and immediately after he says that he can not load xpcom.

    Hello Ray,

Thank you for joining us, we are happy to help on Microsoft Community.

Before you start with the troubleshooting steps, I would ask you to answer the questions below.

    1. You have Mozilla Firefox installed on the computer?
    2. What security software is installed on the computer?
    3. Do you have any third-party tool such as Advanced System Care 6 or System Utilities tune-up?

According my research file rtl120.bpl Embarcadero Technologies and is installed on your system of third party such as software packages:

    AVG (their component PC Analyzer)
    TuneUp Utilities
    Advanced System Care (ASC)
    IOBit Malware Fighter Pro

For example, if you have installed Advanced System Care and rtl120.bpl file which is installed with happens to be missing.

XPCOM (Cross Platform Component Object Model) is a cross-platform Mozilla model. It is similar to Microsoft COM and CORBA. It has several language bindings and IDL descriptions so programmers can connect their features customized in the framework and connect it with other components. XPCOM is one of the main things make the Mozilla application environment a real framework.

To test the question, I would recommend that you start the computer in Mode without failure.

Start your computer in safe mode

If the problem does not persist in Mode safe, perform the clean boot.

Perform a clean boot to determine if background programs interfere with your game or program

    Note:

Make sure that you follow the steps that are provided in the section "How to get Windows to a normal startup mode" to start the computer in normal mode after you have completed troubleshooting.

As soon as you detect the exact cause of the issue, please consider reinstalling the application software. The problem could either be related to Mozilla Firefox or one of the third-party utility.

Hope the helps of information provided. Let us know the results, so that we can help you further.

  • Unable to launch programs error: could not open rtl120.bpl file is not found, try to reinstall the program

Original title: difficulties to open programs

I keep trying to open different programs but get a message that says "could not open rtl120.bpl file is not found, try reinstalling the program.»  My problem is that some of these programs came with my package on the computer and if I uninstall it then I have to pay to re install a new program.  How can I solve this problem?

    Hi JenniferAS,

    1. is the issue limited with a particular program?

    2. what operating system is installed on the computer?

3 did you changes to the computer before the show?

It is a file associated with a program called Tune Up Utilities 2010.

Tune up Utilities is a suite of utility software for Microsoft Windows designed to help manage, maintain, optimize, configure and troubleshoot a computer system.

Method 1: Uninstall and reinstall Tune - Up Utilities 2010 and see if that helps.

    Step 1: Uninstall tune-up Utilities 2010.

    Uninstall or change a program

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/uninstall-or-change-a-program

    Step 2: Re-install tune-up Utilities 2010.

    Download tune-up from here:

    http://download.tune-up.com/TUU2010/TU2010TrialEN-GB.exe

Method 2: I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: During the scan of the hard drive if bad sectors are found, the scanner tries to repair this sector, all available on which data may be lost.

Let us know if that helps.
