• Win 7 restore without disk recovery on Satellite L350-277

  Hi all

  I'm trying to fix Satellite L350-277 of my sister-in-law following a HARD drive failing. Before the crash, he was running Win7 Home Premium (32 bit) that was preinstalled on the HARD drive. I managed to run Belarc on it before it went completely, but could not create the restore disc in time.

There are two files boot.wim in this partition: 'D:\hddrecovery\oddfiles\sources\boot.wim' and 'D:\hddrecovery\oddfiles\hddprep\sources\boot.wim '.   Normally you get factory settings if you are using the Toshiba recovery disc. It will restore the pre-installed Windows version that came with your laptop.

  If you have Windows 7, you can t create a Toshiba Recovery disk. Only possible on what s preinstalled Windows from Toshiba, but if you install your own copy, you can create such a floppy.

  I also have a satellite L300 - 25H is poss of their network and to do a full format of broken one to see if that helps?
