  • I have a problem when I turn on my computer...

I have a problem when I turn on my computer. An error that says: "We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this. "
And there are 3 options: start windows in safe mode, safe mode with network or start Windows normally. And... If I have the choice between these options my Windows shows this option again and again after loading... How to solve "We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this. " Problem ?

    lakimedo,
The first thing, have you changed any hardware or software?   If you added new hardware then delete and restart.  Also disconnect external devices and try to start.  When you start start pressing F8 until you get the Windows startup options.  Then try "Last known good configuration" see if that helps.  If those who do not help, I would start with your XP CD to recovery mode and run "chkdsk/r" then "sfc/scannow".  QQ learn manage!

    Gaara_2k6,
Welcome to the responses of the Forums.  The short answer to your questions are Yes and no and no.

Depends on how you format the drive, it will delete everything on the drive.  Now, it may still be recoverable with a software specialist or moving to a data recovery company.

If you formatted your hard drive you would not be able to start to do anything, because there would be nothing on the startup disk.  With the Windows XP CD or with the recovery media provided by the manufacturer of the PC is the only way to reinstall Windows. • Is anyway to prevent reset when you turn to the next article slideshow overlays?

    Hello

I was trying to find a way to make a backup of sports interactive, and it seemed that the superposition of slideshow would be my best bet. I have a regular support (think of March Madness ones) and I can scroll with the help of creative teams of States of the objects and making an overlay of slide show. The only problem is that the overlay resets when you advance to the next page.

  • which is updated when you turn off your computer

I got a problem with the connection to the internet and also using IE9 when I could. I solved my problem of the internet first by disabling my FIOS router wireless can will turn off PC and when starting, I first turn on my computer desktop and then put on my FIOS wireless router after waiting for about 20 seconds.  IE9 still has problems of since I installed Firefox and it works fine. When I had problems with getting Internet from my office, I was able to access the internet through my laptop using the same wireless router FIOS. I know that I was going through the FIOS wireless router because I could see the correct SSID number. So my question is what happens when off their workstation (which is updated). My desktop is Windows Vista Home Premium and using a wireless router FIOS I know is not (FIOS router) at the origin of the problem.

When you stop your desktop computer, how could anything updated? This is the stop.

  • Satellite P100 locks when you turn on the WLan switch

    Hello

    My Satellite P100 turns off.
It would not restart until I turned off the switch wireless lan.

When it works, if you turn the switch back to a black screen occurs.

    Anyone can shed some light.

    Thank you

It looks like a hardware problem.

So in your case, I'd go to an ASP. Technicians can check your laptop and share the material if necessary.

But before you go to a ASP try a BIOS update. You will find it on the Toshiba site and maybe this will solve your problem.

  • stopped script (still another script) when you turn on the computer

Almost everytime I start the computer, I get the error message. Script stopped, do you want to retry the script or abandonment of it.
The scripts are always different. And until it is cleared (sometimes a few of them) the functions offline is very slow and I can't go on the internet.

    Hi HennieK,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. what browser you use on the computer?

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

  • Problem: When I turn on the computer, windows setup box appears and is installing a file

After getting the "preparing to install" message, another message comes up saying "Please wait while windows configures roxio media manager.

Then another message comes up saying "gathering required information".
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network unavailable resource."

"Click OK to try again or enter a different path to the folder containing the installation package 'Roxio Media Manager. MSI' area points to the following path C:\Documents and Settings\Jeffrey Brown\Application is In Motion. BlackBerry\Updates\6852A378-7780-4e80-B65-343C8D2C36AE\SR_MM\

I have the Blackberry desktop manager installed on my computer and I also got a message saying there were some updates, but I was never able to download updates, if there are.

How can I get rid of this process that appears everytime I turn on the computer?

We had the same questions and the same messages.  Whenever you should cancel the installation, he returned again and again and much slowed down the system.  I canceled the installation of Roxio (but he kept coming back and coming back, he finally trying to cancel) and then used Windows install Cleaner. I found when I tried to install the vacuum it was already installed on the PC.  I ran and it worked with no run-time error.  I stopped and restarted and not have Roxio stuff want to install.

  • Protection against malwares always turned off when you turn on the computer.

    Windows vista Home Edition 64-bit
    BitDefender antivirus 2010

Whenever I turn on my computer, I am prompted with a warning that my computer is not fully protected. I click the Security Center icon and find that my Articles of malware protection are disabled. I installed Bitdefender antivirus 2010. Is this a common phenomenon which should be? If this is not the case, how to solve? Windows Vista was installed in July this year and Bitdefender was installed in November this year. My software is up to not.4 from this day, December 15, 2009. Hello

To add to thin boards of karena R:

Here's what I use and recommend:

Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with everything I threw at them.
Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven very reliable and compatible.

Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except away from Standard, Web and network is working.

    Prevx - Home - free

    Windows Firewall

Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

    Protected IE - mode

IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)

I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(Sometimes you have to temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom right of IE)

Avast - stop home - free - all shields you do no need except leave Standard, Web and network running.
(Double-click the blue icon - details look OK. - upper left Shields - those that you do not cancel).
    http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Or use Microsoft Security Essentials - free
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

Prevx works well alongside MSE or Avast

Prevx - Home - small, fast, exceptional CLOUD free protection, working with other security programs. It comes
a scan only, VERY EFFICIENT, if it finds something to come back here or use Google to see how to remove.
    http://www.prevx.com/   <-->
    http://info.prevx.com/downloadcsi.asp  <-->

    PCmag - Prevx - Editor's choice
    http://www.PCMag.com/Article2/0, 2817,2346862,00.asp

Also get Malwarebytes - free - use as scanner only. If you ever suspect malware, and that would be unusual with
Avast and Prevx running except a low occasional (not much), updated cookie and then run it as
a scanner. I have a lot of scanners and they never find anything of note that I started to use this configuration.

    I hope this helps.

  • Why have I not lack of photos in the collections. How can I sort this. It's so boring after a number of collections to find a lot of missing pictures when you turn on the computer again.

Why do I get "missing photos" in the collections of bridge. and how to use them.   so boring after the construction of a few collections to find the photos missing when you restart the computer.

Aare move you or rename the pictures or folders having a collection? Bridge is a file browser, not an asset manager, so everything you do have an impact on the file names and locations can invalidate the elements stored in a collection.

Have you tried a different usb cable? It could be that the usb cable is grounded on which could be a short circuit in the usb cable, or the printer port. Although it is also possible that this is the USB controller on the motherboard of your computer to try another cable is fixed not try with another computer if possible. If the other computer does not have any problems, then it's HP desktop computer. When you do that, you are out of my field of expertise friend .
