Start Vista start up blocking guard down, the whole system is slow, internet keeps crashing and error blue screen occurs, System Restore does not

Files helping to describe the problem:

C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini061510-01.dmp

C:\Users\Sony\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-89201-0.SysData.XML

C:\Users\Sony\AppData\Local\Temp\WERF93C.tmp.version.txt

You said the details of the error checking 0x77 - KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR.  "This bug check indicates that the data page of the kernel of the required paging file cannot be read in memory."  The reason for the inability to read the data were "STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT' -"{Device Timeout} the specified on HS IO operation did not complete before the expiry time."

Most likely, this could be due to a problem with the hardware, as a problem with your drive.  These details, combined with your description of the problem, further suggests that this may be the case. Check your event logs (Event Viewer in the in Control Panel Administrative Tools folder) to the messages relevant or notable.   You can also check the cables involving HD are nice and warm.

As your hard disk may be involved, you want to ensure you had a backup of your data before doing large thing (a backup good and verified, is never a bad idea, anyway).

Check the behavior in safe mode and the boot, as described below (follow the links):

To treat blue screens, following general tips:

Consider running chkdsk on all partitions.  Leave complete chkdsk on each partition and see if that helps.

Also consider running SFC/scannow.

If you start in safe mode, do you still feel bugs? What if you do a clean boot, or boot device?

Consider the memory with memtest86 or Windows Memory Diagnostic test. Note that memory that pass the tests isn't necessarily good memory - he not only failed a review.  Examine systematically to eliminate the system RAM - run with a few modules for awhile and see how things are going. Then try the other modules.

Other common suggestions include ensuring drivers are up to date (including video drivers), but also to ensure that you use the latest version of the BIOS.

It may be useful to use the driver verifier.  To activate the... Driver Verifier start-> verifier.exe-> OK-> create standard settings - > then-> the names of the drivers select in a list-> next-> sort by provider-> select all non-Microsoft drivers-> finish and OK your way out of the dialog box.

Then restart and use the system as you normally and wait for a problem.  In case the system does not completely start after activation of the Verifier, boot mode safe and run driver verifier and tell him to remove the changes.

Wait for an error checking to happen after you have enabled the auditor as described and then transfer it to your SkyDriveand provide a link.

If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer starts or restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. • System Restore does not start.

I use windows xp media edition.  The system restore does not start.  I lift the box, but when I click next to choose a system restore point, nothing happens.  Help!  I tried to do it in safe mode, but it does not either here.

    Running sfc/scannow won't help you.

It's nice when sfc/scannow runs silently and can't find anything to do, but if your installed Service Pack does not match the Service Pack of your true XP bootable installation CD, it will complain (much).

Norton is notorious for interfering with SR, so much that they wrote an article about it:
    http://Service1.Symantec.com/support/sharedtech.nsf/pfdocs/2005113009323013

Sometimes the system restore is so distressed that you just need to reinstall the system restore (you don't need to reinstall XP - just the part system restore).  The downside to this is that, in doing so, you will lose all your current Restore Points.

If only the SR calendar is showing a blank white screen where the calendar should be empty, this means usually the jscript.dll file became somehow unregistered and you can re-record it, but who does not exactly sound like your situation.

It does not hurt to re-register the DLL files, even if they do not need renewal, you can run these commands and then check your SR:

Click Start, run, and in the box enter orders following one at a time.  Click the OK button to execute each command one at a time.

    regsvr32 jscript.dll
    regsvr32 vbscript .dll
    regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll (it's a look of slash)

The last order for mshtml load the DLL but can also contain a harmless warning depending on your environment.

I guess that Norton is somehow interfere well, but running that SR mode without failure is usually the remedy to this situation.

If that does not receive your SR going, then maybe some other people have ideas.

    Hi Bridget,

If there is not a restore point for the date you want to restore, you will not be able to restore to that date. Follow these steps to repair the files that were not repairable with SFC: If the SFC tool can not repair a file

  • XP will only start in safe mode and System Restore does not resolve the problem

Don't know not if this is related to the same reported people of BSOD problems after recent updates, but from Tuesday my computer does not start in normal mode.  I can get it to boot in safe mode, however I tried to restore to several different restore points and nothing seems to solve the problem.  Any suggestions?

    Hello

Many people face this problem after the latest version of windows update on the XP machine. I would like to know where are the updates that have been installed on your computer Tuesday. You can view them from the Windows update history by examining it from the Windows update site.

In case, if the KB977165 has been installed then, take a look at this thread and check if this helps you boot normally to the desktop.

We hope to hear from soon.

  • System Restore does not not in safe mode, Defender does not start

New computer with a few programs installed.  Windows 7 Pro.  Came today with a computer restarted showing that Windows Update.  I got a popup indicating that the defender was filmed off the coast, click here to restart.  Tries to start, and then turns his back on the coast.  Indicates that a program prevents it from start.  I have not yet installed antivirus software.  Attempted to do a restore in normal mode and safe system.  They return both with: System Restore was not entirely successful error 0 x 80070005.  None of my programs installed are downloads.  Essentially bought another computer to work and installed the same old costumes of software we used for awhile with no problems.  These questions seem to have developed from the windows of the updated last night.

Long story short, updated, Defender turns off, no restore options have worked.

    Hello

The steps you did to solve the problem are appreciated.

I suggest you perform the restoration of the system of the mode of the Windows recovery environment. You can check the below link to do.
What are the system recovery options in Windows?

If you still get the same error when running system restore then please check if there is no anti-virus installed. Because you mentioned that it is a new computer, so sometimes this program comes preinstalled, and we are not aware of this. So, in this case, you can uninstall anti-virus from your computer and then try to run the system restore. You can check the link below to uninstall.
    Uninstall or change a program

  • Acer Aspire laptop with Vista Home Basic Edition does not, System Restore does not, sfc, find corrupt files but do not repair. Need help!

Hi, I have an Acer laptop Aspire with Vista Home Basic Edition that came pre-installed, so no records only the disk hard drive partition.

I turned on my laptop today and it starts but the loading bar of stalls at the black screen with "(c) Microsoft Corporation" and dragging green. The slide bar will continue to drag, but nothing else happens which means that I understand even as much as the login screen. I rebooted and tried Windows recovery, but the only remedy to what he suggests is a restoration of the system, which does not have any point, I try to restore it.

To remedy this, I have connected in safe mode and ran the SFC command prompt. It scans my system and told to find corrupted files, but he can't heal some. This is where my knowledge limit runs out. I don't know how to fix the files that the SFC cannot. (Also I created a journal using the findstr command prompt and checked but it say anywhere that it was unable to fix it so I'm not even sure how to identify corrupted files)

As it's an Acer laptop, Aspire I'll try their eRecovery tool to return my computer to factory settings, but it won't work in safe mode, and as I said I can not connect normally. I tried alt and F10 at the initial boot screen when I turn on, it loads the windows files and shows the Acer "Please wait a moment" screen and then nothing happens again.

I can't afford to get it fixed, and there is no chance I can get a new laptop. Any ideas/help? Thank you.
