start with white screen and a page named do not work

Firefox always start with most recent screen.

You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

The user.js file will be present if you or a other software created this file and normally will not present.

You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: 'Open with'; do not double-click).
The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.

Do not change the line browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once and change its value to false, but either delete this line or remove the user.js file (recommended if you have not created this file).
The normal use of this pref is to reload the tabs when you need to restart Firefox (update or install an extension).

  • Satellite Pro M40 sometimes starts with white screen

    Hello!

I'm pulling out my hair with this problem.

For no definable reason that according to me, my laptop will start with a blank screen.
Not all the time, but, seemlingly, whenever it feels like I need extra help stress on my plate.
For the most part, with perseverance (starting with or without battery, with or without the adapter, with or without pci with or without mouse usb network card and any combination of these elements), it ends by lights correctly, but sometimes Nothing that I won't get it to start and show me a screen.

My M40 is 4 months old.
Since it's purchase sent to Toshiba for repair twice for this problem, when I have exhausted myself trying to coax it into life. Whenever he was sent by saying either the problem has been fixed, or that he had no problem found/all systems ok / "it works very well for us, after testing all week."

This week [edit: it was Wednesday], I sent it to me, and Yes, I checked the trunk upwards and gave a sigh of relief that there is an image on the screen.
I wrote a letter to this topic a day or two later (that day he first gave me a screen white, but on closing down and restart, it was fine).
Today, however, not a week later, I have a white screen again.

I am reluctant to send for repair again, due to the stress involved and the time it takes and the technicians speaking it works for them.

If anyone can help, or was faced with a similar problem, please respond.

Oh, and the solution does not lie with the keys FN + F5, because I tried several times... unless there is a way to 'special' to build on them, I'm not in the running for!

[Edit]: several hours later, as a demonstration of her bored this problem is, my screen is once more working.

I went on once again, at the time and no joy. Then, after switching OFF, count to ten and the restart, eureka.

I'll update with news as it happens. If there are all the necessary specific details about "switching on the environment", just let me know.

  • Studio 1535 with white screen and "ERROR CODE: 0321 LCD EDID - EDID EEPROM ACCESS IMPOSSIBLE.

Studio 1535 (laptop with Vista and NOTE from the ADMIN: tag removed in accordance with the Service Privacy Policy > suddenly, showing no display a few days ago.)  I tried to unplug the power cord and the battery, and make a stop by pressing the power button, but none of these methods have had no effect.  I got nothing else than a white screen, but when I fix a monitor external, everything works fine on the external monitor.

Also, I have the flashing volume control keys and I was wondering if this could be a clue to what is happening and what needs to be corrected?  The Mute key and the Volume up key flashing on and outside at the same time.  The low Volume key is regularly.

Then I run the diagnostic test that I had "ERROR CODE: 0321 LCD EDID - UNABLE to ACCESS EDID EEPROM '

No idea if this could be a backlight or LCD question, question of video chip or broken cable?    Thank you!

    Hi JITeglia,

I suggest you to replace the LCD LVDS cable on the system first, since it is the cheapest part. If the system is still facing the same issue to replace the LCD screen.

  • Hard disk with white screen and blinking cursor failure

When I turn on my HP G60-519WM laptop I now only get a blank screen and a blinking cursor.  When I run diagnostics from the BIOS, he reports that the hard drive breaks down the main hard drive as self-test.  The PC is about 6 months after the warranty period.  Two questions:

    1. If I replace the hard drive me how can I get all the HP utilities on the new hard drive and Windows 7?
    2. What are my options for HP perform an out of warranty repair?

    Hi Dan,.

See first of all, if you create a set of recovery on your workbook disks - there is a guide for this here.

If you create these disks, I think they would work to reinstall the operating system on your laptop, because they have the same reference no..

  • Qosmio G20-117: bad pixels on the screen and the CD rom does not work

    Hello

I have a problem with the computer hardware. I got a Qosmio G20-117 and you have a problem with the cdrom and the screen. Got bad pixels on the screen, and cdrom does not work. I live in the United Kingdom, so I tried signing up to them to choose the computer before the computer is out of warranty.

Whenever I register, it says sorry, an unexpected error has occurred, please try again later. I have tried at least 20 times since yesterday and it doesn't seem to work. I have them even called and they told me, the service is stopped and will be fixed this morning but yet nothing works.

    Any solution?

    Hello

If you want to contact Toshiba service partner in your country then why you don't call them?
Toshiba page you will find the database with all service providers in the world.
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/Su/su_gaspLocator.jsp?PF=true

I don't think that you need to register something apart from the serial number of your laptop. But in my opinion this could also be done at the point of service.

  • Windows XP restarts all the time; does not start mode safe mode and last known Configuration does not work either

Hello! Recently, I installed Wubiand appreciates well. However, a few days ago, when I tried to boot XP on my netbook (EEE PC 1005hab), it restarts just constantly return to the selection screen of the BONES. I tried Safe Mode and last good Configuration known with anything will do. What should I do now? Ubuntu has not stopped working suddenly, so I can't access my data.

I don't have to have a Windows XP CD, there is something weird Asus recovery instead. In addition, it is a netbook so I don't have an optical drive to run the recovery CD. I'm doing a Livecd of Linux USB so I can back up my data... but I can do but reinstall at this point?

    Thank you.

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD drive (even an external).

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

If there is a problem starting, XP is configured to automatically try to start again and you can stuck in a loop not being able to go beyond the screen boot options, or none of these startup options you choose will work only.

Sometimes, when XP has a problem starting or falls down and tries to start again, it will give you a "short" menu of boot options and none of them will appear to be good to get your system going again.  You have tried them all!

The options are similar to the Advanced Boot Options menu XP, but the only option that you need (disable automatic error system reboot) are not offered, because XP went too far during the boot process and offers a limited number of boot options.

If this is the case, you must call Options menu advanced boot yourself until you do not see the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

When you get the XP Advanced Options correct start menu, it has options on it like these:

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt

    Enable Boot logging
    Enable VGA mode
Last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
    Debug mode
Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

    Start Windows normally
    Reset
    Return to OS Choices Menu

You need to choose in this menu is the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

Then if XP does not start normally, you will see an error screen with information and clues about the problem and then you can decide what to do next.

If you do not see the automatic restart on system failure option turn it off, you must reset your system and start typing the key F8 on the keyboard until you see her disable automatic restart on system failure option.

If you miss the window of opportunity F8, you must try again and start pressing the F8 key with more urgency (earlier and more frequently) until you see disable automatic restarts on system failure, and then select it.

You must keep trying the F8 menu until you see disable automatic restart on system failure option, and select it.

Answering queries and results report of the disable automatic restart on system failure screen and you can decide what to do next.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

I need YOUR voice and the points for helpful answers and propose responses. I'm saving for a pony!
