Starting along with ssd 120 GB to the MacBook

After you install the 120 GB SanDisk Extreme on my MacBook, it seems to take a while to find the HD. The screen is just blank whithout the Apple logo for quite a while. Once the Logo and the train to appear, it starts quickly.

What is with that?

Go to settings and choose the Sandisk as your boot drive and save and then restart and see if it is fixed.

    Sorry for my bad English.

You can add about: newtab to the command line in the shortcut to the desktop Firefox to open this page on startup (target).

  • OEM PC upgraded with SSD, is back on the HARD drive, now 'infringement '.

    Hello

A few years ago, I bought a cheap "emachines" for parents.  To speed it up, I recently replaced the HDD with a SSD former and re-installed windows from scratch since an ISO downloaded from Digital River.  I forgot if it is 32-bit or 64-bit.  I called the helpline automated from key OEM cannot be activated online and everything went well.

A few weeks later the PC is regularly crashing, which I suppose is a problem with the SSD drive.  Then I advise them to put the old hard drive back, they have carried out.  Windows complains now that it is not authentic.

Apart from re - install from scratch, I can do to convince windows that OEM key is always authentic?  It is still used with the same motherboard and according to this article on PC pro, the key is tied to the motherboard and it is perfectly fine to change the hard drive.

    Thank you very much!

    Jonathan.

    Hello

I searched through many posts online with the same issue and have not found a viable answer.

My files have a color and a star rating created in Photo Mechanic or bridge, the two are identical regarding

like the color and name both appear in each other when opened.

When I import into LR, I want to only import my color and/or selects stars. None of these labels appear at all

in the import dialog box. However if I import all the images, they start import, the color and the sides

    appear.

It seems that LR is reading the files during the import, but not before that.

How can I make this work?

    Hi Davstr,

The sides and the color attributes are mainly used to organize images.

I would like to inform you that it has no option to see the sides or color labels in the Lightroom Import dialog box.

  • Just bought a msi gtx 750 ti OC edition.when installed does not start, ends with a black screen and the cursor

As indicated in the title, I bought a ti 750 gtx.

The machine had a 620 in gt and works very well with it in. When I install the ti 750 gtx, however, the boot system hangs on a black screen with cursor / underscores and a single beep.

    The system is a h8 1203, with a power of 460.

I also have a gts 250, that also installs and works fine. Ive read a little, and there is a problem with this map and the hp system? something about the type of bios? I couldn't quite follow what has been said.

    Hello

If you upgrade to Windows 8 (UEFI-mode Setup) and apply the BIOS posted updated so you should be able to work to the video card.

Don't forget to create a set of external support of HP recovery before installing a new operating system.

  • SSD suddenly slow down the MacBook Pro 13 "early 2011

    Hey guys,.
I bought my MacBook Pro with two hard drives. SSD in the main slot and HDD CD-Rom instead. It works incredible fast without any problem since more than six months, and suddenly my Mac became super slow for no reason. I try with a clean install of Maveriks, Lion, Yosemite and Capitan on ssd cleaned and formatted, but the rest of the problem. Need more than 3 to 5 minutes only to get the log on screen (before the time of full reboot was 23 seconds) and if I'm lucky around 10-30 min to load the hole with files systems. I tried with the SSD on my other laptop and it works great, I remove the other hhd, changing all the discs in all possible combinations, and the problem is still there. Anyone with the same problem or solution for this? I really need help to solve this problem because looks like * now. I use applications like photoshop, ableton, traktor and other for audio and video processing and I need my mac to be fast as if it was.

  • Satellite L40 - replacement of HDD of 80 GB with SSD-disk hard

Toshiba L40 Series (4.5 year old computer): HARD disk replacement

    Toshiba Satellite Pro: L40
    (Model: PSL4BE-00P00YN5)

    Intel Celeron: 540 (1.86 GHz)
    1 GB of ram
    Drive hard 80 GB
    32-bit Windows Vista Home Basic
    (Over four years)

Looking across the net, but can't find any information on this advice - has
It is hoped that someone had done a similar job. I know that the HDD in
This machine supports the SATA drives, but I don't know if the motherboard
supports several types of SATA drives. I have read several topics on
users who have bought an SSD for the replacement of the old HARD disk in
the laptop - just to find out that the motherboard did was too old and has not been
compatible with SSDS. Even if the motherboard supports some types
SSDS, this is no guarantee that it will work with the purchased SSD.

The SSD I think to buy, will be one of them:

Corsair SSD Force Series 120GB 2.5 GT "
    SATA 6 Gb/s (SATA3.0), 555MB / 515 MB/s write 85 k IOPS (4 k aligned), w/support

    or this one:

    Corsair SSD Force Series 3 120 GB 2.5 "
    SATA 6 Gb/s (SATA3.0), 550MO/510 MB/s read/write,® SandForce SF-2281

(the first is the better of the two SSD drives, but the last of them has
SandForce integrated, which (from what I've read) is preferred with
old computers when upgrading for SSDS).

If someone could give me some info on this topic, I would be
    very grateful!

It is always problematic to be around some old piece of newer hardware standards and technology. I n t have this old Satellite but my friend had it.

Satellite L40's old laptop budget very simply the hardware configuration, so I think that you will not be able to use newest SSDS to this topic.

I really hope someone else can post a positive experience on these updates. What you can try is to contact nearest Toshiba service provide by phone and ask for some advice. They have exact specifications for laptop and, I hope, can help you with this.

By the way: I put t know what is the reason for these updates? More performance, more low composition of power or something else?

OK, I saw the pictures, SATA HDD0 takes precedence, so any SSD is here, it will give the list only HDD0.

    It's strange but...

the SSD 2 have the same content?

It is not a sure way to start under UEFI, since that will be managed by the windows Boot Manager.

  • (Redirected) Cannot boot from the HARD drive on dell n5010 with SSD and HARD drive installed

I have my old dell n5010 (15R Inspiron) with SSD (Samsung EVO 840 120 G) installed on the main drive Bay and the HDD (Samsung HJJ 500 G) on the optical drive Bay.

It is a typical way to add an SSD on such an old laptop (bought from dell.com.cn in 2011).

My Windows 10 operating system has been installed on the SSD using Samsung Data Migration software, so the previous C drive was pointless. So I formatted and installed an operating system Ubuntu 14.04 on it, hoping the grub OSs double beginning located on the HARD disk.

However, I find no the Dell bios boot option to boot from the HARD drive installed in my optical drive Bay. All the choices are 'Hard Drive', 'Network' and 'Diagnostic '.

But I was definitely sure that my bios program has detected the SSD and HDD with information on the main menu of the bios.

And the LED on the optical drive Bay was immediately once I pressed the Start button on my laptop.

As a general rule, all things were right except for options of the bios boot.

Is there a way I can boot from HDD (with installed Ubuntu) while remaining has my SSD on the main drive Bay? I don't want to swap their positions, because the SSD is super fast on the main drive Bay.

I have alse won't migrate 10 Windows to the HARD drive and reinstall Ubuntu on the SSD, because I'd like my windows be loaded quickly.

Someone at - it the same problem with me?

    Any suggestion is appreciated!

  • Guide: replace the HDD with SSD, Lenovo Y480

    Lenovo
That's how I replaced my HDD with a SSD in my Lenovo Y480. I did it immediately, so there is no user file to consider. I used a key from Lenovo recovery. Read this guide in its entirety before starting.

    Execution time: about an hour.

    Items, you will need:

    -Y480 Lenovo

-New SSD (I chose a Mushkin Chronos Deluxe because my research lead me to conclude that it is the best available from June 2012)

    -Small Phillips screwdriver

-Butter knife or similar to remove the HARD drive. There is not much space for your fingers in there.

    -DVD-r blank

    Step 1

    Turn on the computer.

    Step 2

Write the number '1' on a blank DVD-R and insert into the optical drive.

    Step 3

Press the small button just to the right of the power button. This launches a recovery key.

    Step 4

Follow the instructions on the screen to make restore disks. I chose the factory restore option, which required three DVD - Rs. label each disc with numbers to let you know in what order to use them later. Once it is finished, place back #1 DVD into the optical drive.

    Step 5

Physically remove the hard drive and insert the SSD drive by following the instructions below.

    1. turn off and unplug your computer, flip upside down.
    2. remove the battery.
    3. remove the access panel by removing the two screws and slide.
    4. remove the two screws that hold the hard drive carrier.
5 remove the hard drive by lifting upward. There is a right angle SATA adapter plugged into the hard drive. This card just came out with the hard drive.
6 disconnect the hard drive adapter and plug it on the SSD.
7 unscrew the hard drive bracket and screw it on the SSD.
8 put the SSD drive in the Bay, screw the support down and replace the access panel. Be sure to screw it up.
    9. replace the battery, lock.

    Step 6

If you did not already the first recovery DVD in the optical drive, use a paper clip to open the optical drive and insert the diskette. Close the drawer, then turn on the computer to start the restoration.

    Step 7

Select the boot drive by pressing F12 when you see the Lenovo logo during startup, and then select the optical/DVD drive in the list.

    Step 8

Follow the instructions on the screen. The first time that I did, restoration impossible immediately, probably because of a missing partition. However, after restarting the computer by performing a battery pull, then continue to step 6 restore completed successfully.

I have not compared this drive, but I can tell you that the Windows experience index is 7.9 and startup time is 24 seconds now. The base index is 6.8 for this system now.

You will find that Windows has already helped TRIM. However, regular defragmentattion was still on. I think that the system restore has been disabled automatically.

    Good luck

    Matt

I saw no option for this, and I was quite surprised, that he didn't do it automatically. I'm not an expert on everything, so what follows is a guess.

Perhaps that if you create a partition on the SSD first, recovery will recognize and use it.

  • The CQ60 430SA with SSD upgrade

    Hello

After much trawling the internet and various research I hope someone can help me to confirm if I can finish the next upgrade.

I have a CQ60-430SA Windows 7 Professional 64 bit stock, with 4 GB of RAM, AMD Turion x 2 64-bit processor (VERY hot) and in recent months have gone through various scans of the system in order to limit start them all programs, Windows updates and various other background programs that made the laptop almost completely insensitive.

He is now back some of its speed of origin but I always find it very laggy and hesitate to open programs, etc..  After reading on the SSD and performance increases that they can bring can tell me if I can replace the Toshiba MK2555GSX ATA HDD currently installed with an evo of 840 Samsung 256 Gb SSD?  I have also reviewed the upgrade of processor Turion Ultra ZM-82, I know to be compatible from the manual of maintenance (below), but are not convinced that he will give me a huge increase in performance (any thoughts?)

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02985882.PDF

If I can replace the hard drive with an SSD I also remove the laptop and replace the thermal paste on the processor (already cleaned the fan).  The laptop also needs a battery and external battery to replace.

Thank you very much in advance for any advice given.

    Adam

    You're good to go

  • HP laptop laptop 15-s104na: replace the HDD with SSD Crucial

I have a HP/Compaq 15 - s104na with 2213 motherboard and BIOS F.24 with a 500 GB Toshiba HARD drive running Win8.1 (OEM).  Also have an M500 Crucial 240 GB SSD (firmware MU05) that Win7 worked in an old laptop Lenovo.  Thought I would try installing the SSD in laptop computer to speed things up a bit.

However, although I have been able to clone HARD drive SSD (SSD connected via a USB/SATA bridge), when I installed it in the laptop, it didn't start.  The BIOS has been recognizing the Crucial SSD in the Boot Options, but then failed to boot from it returning 0xc0000225 (required is not connected).  Running the Recovery Manager HP of DVD has failed, too, is not surprising that DISKPART > LIST DISK did not show the SSD drive.

Out of curiosity, I then tried a fresh install of the OS of a download of MS 8.1 using a generic key that gave the same result - not found disk.

So, I guess there is something inconsistent between the motherboard for laptop and SSD Crucial.  Runs the compatibility check tool SSD Crucial returns zero compatible solutions, even if I didn't require any special drivers SATA SSD.  Looks like I'll stick with the existing HARD drive (which, to be fair, is not otherwise slow...!)

Update my previous problem of BIOS without recognizing an SSD Crucial of M500.

Person to HP or Crucial has been able to provide a solution, but now, I found a good solution to workaround where I installed the SSD drive in the optical drive Bay, leaving the original HARD disk.  Now the BIOS recognizes the SSD, and I did a clean install of Windows 10 on it as my C drive.  I leave my data on the HARD drive as my D drive.  Fortunately, I don't want an internal optical drive.

So, I now have the benefits of an SSD while also having a lot of data storage space!

Hope this can help others avoid hours of frustration...
