starting problems with service pack 3
I updated my Compaq Presario online from SP2 to SP3. My computer will not now start in normal mode. He'll start secure or secure with networking.
Hello
1. installation launched successfully?
2. don't you encounter any error message when you start the computer in normal mode?
If you have an Intel, refer to the article below and check if you are able to boot to the desktop successfully in normal mode.
Error after you upgrade a computer that uses one processor other than a processor of Intel for Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3 for Windows XP: "STOP: 0x0000007E"

My automatic update did not work, so I went to the site to try to download Service Pack 2, one seemed to have trouble with my computer. After I downloaded it, I tried to run, but he said I had to download Service Pack 1. So I did it. When I try to run this file, it says I have already installed Service Pack 1. So I tried to restart the Service Pack 2, but she is always claiming that I need Service Pack 1. I don't know what I'm supposed to do. Can anyone help? I'd be happy.

Problem with Service Pack 1 free several times.
When I go to updates, it tells me to install an important update which is still service pack 1. It is installed about 10 times, but when I try to install service pack 2, it won't install saying that service pack 1 must be installed. Help! It drives me crazy and wasting so much time, because of course, he doesn't tell me that service pack 2 cannot be installed until the end thanks to all! Have a nice day

bastyav,
We use the exact and some error message in more detail on the issue. This problem occurs with any file on the disk or only some of them? You are logged as administrator? Has anything changed recently (hardware or software)? The first thing I would say to run a Virus scan and malware. If you do not have an antivirus program, then you can get one here: http://www.microsoft.com/Security_essentials/
If there are no problems found then not try the following steps:
Run the following commands.Chkdsk /r

sfc/scannow

My Windows XP home edition with service pack 3 now displays the status of my absorbing as "State of the network" wireless network connection but never connects to the network. This started after my last Microsoft update has been installed. .

Centro not sync-ing for Win XP Home Edition with Service Pack 3
My new Palm Centro can't synchronize Palm Desktop running on Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 3. The Palm "getting started" Troubleshooting (very polite and free) told me I could go back to Service Pack 2, or upgrade to Vista. There is a kind of incompatibilities between SP3 and current HotSync Manager. I'm going to buy a Mac before I go to Vista, and do move back is unattractive. Anyone know of another work around?
The problem was that Agendus 4.31 does not work with Palm Desktop 6.x. You must upgrade to a newer Agendus. After some research by me and iambic, the manufacturers of Agendus, we discovered that I was given bad advice about the compatibility of the Agendus older and latest Palm Desktop. Once I bought and installed an upgrade, things started working properly.

original title: error with ehshell.exe
I have Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 with Service Pack 3 and I tried to run Media Center but I get an error message with ehshell.exe. Could you help me?
This problem exists since the 1st Media Center. SP2 and SP3 had a difficulty, but it is obvious that it doesn't always. The same problem still exists in Vista today with a lot of other carried over from XP. System restore would work, but you do not have any good restore points so reinstall an operating system seems to be your only option.
You probably don't want to do an OS reinstall you need for Media Center, but since it does not at all, you might want to play then remove the Media Center updates and or SP3 and reinstall them.

I have an auto build Windows XP pro with service pack 3 that is upwards and I feel the need to upgrade to a new motherboard and processor causes memory and I know that when I do a clean install with my original disk, I lose service pack 3 that will then lose me the Microsoft support is anyway that I can backup service pack 3 for use with what will be considered a brand new computer
See you soonThe site is authentic. You have two options when you do your relocation:
Method 1
- Download SP3 form the Microsoft site and burn it to a cd or copy it to a flash drive.
- Reinstall Windows with your original Windows XP CD.
- Use the copy of SP3 that you burned on the CD or copied to the flash drive and update the machine to SP3. Note that if you have an original CD of 'gold' of Windows XP without service pack that you install SP1a or SP2 before you install SP3, SP2 is available here , download and save it with SP3 before making your relocation.
Method 2
- Download SP3 from the Microsoft site and it wake to your Windows XP CD.
- Install Windows XP with your slipstreamed CD and your installation will be in SP3, when installation is complete you will not need to install service packs, you'll just have to do some other updates that have been released after SP3.
The http://lifehacker.com/386526/slipstream-service-pack-3-into-your-windows-xp-installation-cd is legitimate, it only gives you instructions on how to create and burn a CD of SP3 slipstreamed Windows XP. If this seems too daunting then use method 1 to install Windows.
Both methods are very good but method 2 allows a nicer cleaner installation, everything is installed to SP3 level and there are no remnants of previous service packs. While creating the slipstreamed CD may appear to be a time consuming task, in the end, it will be a time saver and afterwards if you ever have problems with the installation of Windows you may need this cd SP3 slipstreamed to all repairs on the installation. You can create the SP3 cd now and do it ready and at hand for future needs.

I have a 32-bit version of Windows Vista business with service pack 1... How he move to Windows7?

Custom installation: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/help/upgrading-from-windows-vista-to-windows-7-custom
You can buy Windows 7 here:

If you are running Windows Vista , in some cases you can proceed directly to Windows 7, and in other cases, you must perform a custom installation. The following table shows what editions of Windows Vista can be upgraded to Windows 7.
Windows Vista Home Basic
Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Ultimate
Windows Vista Edition Home Premium
Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Ultimate
Windows Vista Business
Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate
Windows Vista Ultimate Edition
Windows 7 Ultimate
For more information, see upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7 . (http://windows.microsoft.com/upgrade-windows-vista )
You can't go from 32 bit to 64 bit, a clean install is required. If you have any questions about the upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit or vice versa, please see this FAQ: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/32-bit-and-64-bit-Windows-frequently-asked-questions
If you have any general questions about reinstalling Windows , please see this site:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/installing-and-reinstalling-WindowsInstallation - 'upgrade' means what?
Upgrade means that you can install Windows 7 simply by inserting the Windows 7 upgrade software in the DVD drive of your PC and follow the instructions on the screen. While you are not required to backup and reinstall your files, or reinstall your programs, it is a very good idea to back up your files and settings before you start any upgrade to the software. Get more information on the software updates and best practices .Installation - what does "Custom (Clean)" Mean?
A custom (clean) installation clears the contents of the hard drive of your PC. Your files, settings, and programs will not be transferred to Windows 7. This means that to install Windows 7, you must:Back up any files and settings you want to keep
Install Windows 7
Reinstall all your files
Reinstall all the programs you want to use.
These four steps take time, skills, techniques and Windows Easy Transfer can help. However, if you are not comfortable with this process, please consider having the installation carried out by a local service provider.
