Startup dll errors

At the start, I noticed that I get two errors 'cannot find/locate the module.  C:\WINDOWS\afudifemeyu.dll & C:\WINDOWS\nstoertu.dll can it be repaired?  Thank you very much.

When a Google search for a dll name results in no hits (which is the case for your 2 files), chances are that the file is part of some malicious software.  You get a message at startup such as you have because some anti-malware on your computer application has deleted the wrong file, but neglected to remove the entry in the Windows registry that is trying to start the malicious software.

First see if an automated tool can clean things up.  Download, install, update and run MalwareBytes Anti-Malware: http://malwarebytes.org/ allow full application of scanning and remove any malware that it detects.

If you still get the error message when restarting after MalwareBytes Anti-Malware cleaned your machine, you need to remove the registry entry yourself.  Download Autoruns: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx Autoruns install and let it scan your computer.  When the scan is finished, as it is shown in the lower left corner of the window, click the 'connection '.  Search for entries of your dll files (look in the right column, "Image path").  If you can't find it on the connection tab, click the "all" tab, click on the entry in the foreground and then use the search feature (file > find) to find files.

Once you have found the entry that starts the bad dll, you can either clear the box to tick off (which will disable) or delete (if you're really sure that it is the bad entry).

At the start, I had a DLL error. What it means? How should I do?

    (C:\WINDOWS\sdfodnvc.dll)

    ... C:\WINDOWS\sdfodnvc.dll...

He is a stranger. DLL and very likely could be called from a remnant of some malicious software or viruses that your computer has partially removed/disabled.

If this happens at startup, check the programs and the command lines that are expected to start when you start the computer.

Click on Start, run or press Windows key + R , and type msconfig then the . Click the Startup tab.

It's where he can be a little intimidating. You need to go through the entries and review the startup item, manufacturer and order to what looks like, it does not belong. Don't be too worried to uncheck anything that you can always come back here and check again the issue.

Please note that unchecking an item in the list is not immediately turn a program or function. This simply means that the next time that you restart the computer, it will not be launched.

FWIW, at least 90% of the computer, that I wonder to have a minimum of half a dozen unnecessary items in this list to Start, launch , especially small utility computer programs or computers/software manufacturers. Adobe is usually good for 2-3 items that can be disabled without affecting the average user.

  • Rpcrt4.dll error at startup

    HI guys,.

I have seen similar topics, but to be honest more I look into it more I'm confused.

I get this error come in saying the ordinal 1000 could not be located in the dynamic link library rpcrt4.dll error. up to the top of the box, it says cloudsyncapp.exe - ordinal not found.

I am currently under a new laptop with windows 7 64 bit system, it came when I transferred all fines in front of the old dell laptop that was running windows 10.

    any help appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you receive error message RPCRT4.dll on start up and I'll be happy to answer your query.

The Rpcrt4.dll file is a file associated with the program Remote Procedure Call and is used by a number of Windows applications for connections, network and Internet, which allow computers and devices communicate with each other in order to keep your computer in perfect working condition. Because this file is a dynamic link library file, this means that it has a specific function to be performed so that your system works.

Some of the main causes of this particular error will resolve around the file itself, as well as with the Windows registry. Some of the causes are going to be:

    • Windows registry keys are damaged and corrupted
    • The RPCRT4.dll file is missing
    • Connection has expired

You can try the following methods and check the result.

Method 1: Check your internet connection

The first thing we do is to reset your modem or router, as this will refresh your Internet connection. You can ask for help from your ISP doing so. To reset the modem or the router follow the instructions:

    • Disconnect the cable that connects the computer to the modem
    • Turn off the modem and router
    • Note: If the model or the router does not have a power switch, turn off the power to the modem or to the router
    • Restart the computer
    • Once your computer has been restarted, turn on the modem or the router, connect the cable from the computer to the modem or the router, then restart the computer
    • Make sure that all network cables are properly connected

Method 2: Run the System File Checker tool

System File Checker is a Windows utility that allows users to find corruptions in Windows system files and restore the damaged files.

To do this, click Start, type command or cmd prompt in the Search box, right click invite, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.

Type the following command and press enter

    sfc/scannow

Note: Do not close the command prompt window until the audit is completed 100%. The results of the analysis will be posted when this process is complete.

From now, please try the methods above and let us know the status.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

It is always sensible in this situation to achieve a malware check

Start the computer in safe mode with network and download and install Malwarebytes (free version for individuals only), updated definitions and run in safe mode. Disable other security software while you do the analyses.

With Autoruns, you can deselect an item which disables startup, or you can click with the right button on an item, then remove it. If you clear the check box that you can check back for re - activate the element. It is an approach much safer than editing the registry and better than using msconfig.
Another useful feature of the program is that you can click with the right button on an item and select search online to get information about the selected item.

I get a dll error message that says: "the application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\kizinone.dll is not a valid Windows image.  Please check this against your installation diskette.

I went to the system registry to find the file it refers and is not a he.  I ran a norton registry cleanup and a virus scan.  I did find something online that made reference to this dll file.  The message appears at any time that I start a new program.  How to fix this, or find the virus that is the cause.

A Google search for "[insert the name of the file]" grown up nothing. When you get no hits for a filename on Google, chances are high that it is a malicious program file. You did not when you get the message. If it's only at startup, either you have uninstalled the malware program or your antivirus/antispyware program did. In all cases, a reference has been left in the boot file. You can remove the reference by managing your startup. If you get the message during regular time on the computer and not not only at startup, your computer is still infected.

Norton will do the job of cleaning and registry cleaners are garbage who at best will not do anything and the worst risk damage to your Windows installation.

First of all, make sure that the computer is really free of virus/malware through these systematically - General malware removal steps http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware . Then, if the computer is really clean and you still receive the message, manage your Startup to remove the reference to the malware:

Start > run > msconfig [Enter]

This will open the System Configuration utility. Look under the Startup tab and find the likely culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Just check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".
