Static headphones on 15 Inspiron 7000 series

Faint (but sensitive) static when using headphones (or perhaps inaudible through the laptop speakers).

The static method is not more strong with the increase in volume and only ceases when the volume is muted.

I updated but also uninstalled and reinstalled the sound drivers with no luck.

Any suggestions?

Assuming that you hear the sound while using the Realtek audio driver. As a test, install the driver audio Windows native.

1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the start search box and press ENTER) and right click on Realtek High Definition Audio.
2 Select this option to "Update driver software".
3. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
4. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
5. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
6. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio'.
7. click on "next".
8. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
9 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.

Test the headphones Jack. If no noise with the native driver, then this is a software problem that can be helped with a future revision of Realtek. If still noise with the native driver, there may be a hardware problem. I can't think a good specific test to confirm it, but you can report the problem to technical support.

Invert names in steps 1-6 for getting the driver from Realtek.

There is a problem with the driver for the secondary graphics card. I disabled it and it fixed my problem (for now). It's just a temporary solution until Dell and AMD meet. I'm upset that Dell announces that PC as being "Windows 10 loan" when it is well obviously this far from it.

  • 15 Inspiron 7000 series 7559 - paved touch Windows 7

I recently installed Windows 7 on my Inspiron 15 7000-7559. I managed to find most of the drivers and get the working material.

However for the Touchpad, I can't find driver or software for it. Windows 7 uses only the default drivers mouse Compatible PS/2. When in the Dell drivers site, there no drivers for input devices.

It works very much like a regular touchpad, but it doesn't have the additional function, as two fingers scrolling etc.

It's always very good to me until I realized that my Palm will accidentally hit the touchpad when typing. Looking at my old dell laptops, I saw that there is a feature of rejection of palm for the Dell touchpad.

Windows detects this trackpad as Atmel Maxtouch.

Can someone please advise me were to find a compatible driver for this problem?

Help and support is greatly appreciated.

  • ALL NEW Inspiron 7000 WiFi is Horrendous!

I got my Inspiron 7000 literally an hour (15-inch, i7core, HD 8 GB RAM 1 TB model) ago. That is fine, but the WiFi is sickening. It keeps down the internet connection and whenever I start troubleshooting it gives me a different problem to be fixed. First of all, it was a problem with the wireless card, then "default gateway was not available".  This is unacceptable. I work at home and need a SOLID connection. It's already enough Dell took almost 3 weeks to get the thing to me and now this. I am tired and frustrated. All other devices in my house will connect and STAY connected, so the problem is not on my end. I send this thing back? I hope not.

Hi, I had this problem with my Dell Inspiron 7000 series 10 Windows running. I am VERY frustrated by lack of Dell to help with this problem. For awhile, I successfully used a plug in USB Wi - Fi dongle (I disabled the internal Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 7265 card first). I didn't have time to browse using phone Dell prolix. I was convinced that it was a hardware problem. Then I solved the problem: I updated the Intel driver (on the site of Dell). No difference. Went to Device Manager, right click the Intel WiFi thingy in network cards, then choose Properties, and then 'Advanced' tab, then I turned aggressive walk until way (no), disabled "disconnect wowlan (no difference), then attached power to the 'up' (no difference). Finally and successfully, I looked up my router wireless BT, found it is "802.11 b/g/n" and changed "wireless" mode in the menu computer laptop adapter: "802. 11 b/g and THAT worked. Instantly, got a solid connection. Great relief. Now, I even had a spare WiFi dongle for one of the laptops to work. I'm pretty annoyed that I couldn't find a tutorial online to Dell about this, however.

  • volume control stuck on screen - not work - not adjustable, Inspiron 13 7000 series 2-in-1

I have just bought a new laptop Inspiron 13 7000 series 2-1. It comes with Windows 8.1. It happened (don't know why) that the volume control is frozen on the screen at the top left with the volume level of 0% so I can not adjust the volume of all on both the keyboard and the touchscreen.

What I've tried is less than

-In the Control Panel, sounds, communications: when Windows detects communications activity

    Select "do nothing".

-uninstalled the audio driver and leave it is reinstalled automatically after reboot

-uninstalled the audio driver and install the audio driver downloaded from dell support

-clean the boot and uninstall - reinstall the driver

It was solved once when I tried the pull-off and push the usb for the logitech wireless mouse. When the volume control is stuck on the screen again, I tried this again, but it does not help.

    Any suggestion please. Thank you.

  • Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series WiFi question

I bought an Inspiron 15 7000 series a week ago. Early on, the wifi does not work properly. It takes too much time to connect and also automatically disconnects frequently. Sometimes it shows only limited connectivity. I've updated the drivers but no change so far. All other devices in the House do not work properly. Thanks in advance for your support.

10 days ago, I bought an Inspiron 15 7000 series.  I had similar problems.  WiFi worked when you're sitting next to the router, but it refused to connect at all in low signal strength areas.  In moderate zones (next room or room just below) it works very well for a while but intermittently lose connectivity and although showing that connected would refuse to transfer anything - this necessary apparently the router rebooted to solve.  Since this morning I seem to have fixed things.  It is now usable in any home, linking where it has not before and no abandonment so far in areas of moderate signal strength.  The solution for me was to download the drivers from Intel.  Note that it worked when I first completely deleted existing drivers for wi - fi and bluetooth using Device Manager - I needed to check the box to delete the files, not only remove the drivers.  Then run the downloaded Update resulted in different drivers being installed.  In fact, these seem to be older than those previously installed - version number lower, earlier, fewer config options - which may be why the update did not return to this version until I completely deleted the drivers existing. It worked for me.  Certainly worth a try if you a not entirely remove the existing driver before the update files.  Note that if you do this, you must replenish your router password when you first connect to the wi - fi again.

  • Kubuntu 14.04 on a Dell Inspiron 15 series 3000, 3542

Recently bought an Inspiron 15 series 3000, model is 3542. It comes with Windows 8.1

I want to be able to run 14.04 Kubuntu hard disk. It has no partitions.

What should I do (apart from backup) to (a) wipe windows 8.1 and (b) install Kubuntu 14.04

I don't have all the data on the hard drive, I use Kubuntu on a desktop computer. You have to pass all that he to the Dell laptop.

I don't have the CD 8.1 or Windows 8. It would be wise that I had it. Support Dell informed me that he is not for sale online, but I can call a number and buy this way.

You can download an ISO of DVD WIN8.1.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

If you have 8.0 and 8.1 not, you will need to use a generic key to install.

Then, you get the key in the bios and change to that.  The generic keys WILL never ACTIVATE.

BIOS Keyed win8 requires 64-bit support and must be home or Pro according to the label.

    XHQ8N-C3MCJ-RQXB6-WCHYG-C9WKB (Win Pro 8.1)

    334NH-RXG76-64THK-C7CKG-D3VPT (Home Win 8.1)

Windows 8 keys are encrypted stored in the Bios that is installed at the factory.  There is no more stickers COST due to piracy. (OEM System Builder Versions Do maintain COA stickers)

Windows 8 is now comes with a real Microsoft Label there is NO MORE certificate of authenticity (COA) labels.

See the following examples of labels to look for.

    Changing color ink
The color on the label change is designed to change from one color to the other view from different angles,

making it easy whether it is authentic.

    Windows 8: magenta to green

Windows 8 Pro: blue to violet

    Windows RT: turquoise purple

    Real Microsoft labels
    You could try Belarc Advisor.

I don't know whether or not this shows the key. (Versions greater than 8.3 c display key).

    Windows 8.1 supports version 8.4

  • Following Windows upgrade 2-in-1 10 no automatic rotation of screen on Inspiron 7000

I have an Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 that I just upgraded to Windows 10. Following the upgrade, auto-rotation of the screen has stopped working, and I could not allow him because the button in the notifications area to do so was gray. I also found the check box turn on in the display settings dialog box, but after allowing that the screen has always refused to auto-rotation.

Note that this function works very well under Windows 8.1, so I know it can't be a hardware problem.

Then I went to the Manager of peripheral and deleted devices of two sensors, thinking that Windows should detect and reinstall the drivers for them once I restarted. There is unfortunately no, and detection devices have been in Device Manager. I've never seen a version of Windows that does not detect missing drivers for hardware existing after a reboot and re - install automatically.

Now, all the options to activate the rotation of the screen disappeared, so Windows apparently didn't know that the motion detectors exist.

I've looked everywhere for these device drivers so I can install myself, including the Dell site support using my service code number and drew a complete blank. Where can I get drivers for detection devices, or otherwise get this problem fixed?

Please help, a 2-in-1 is pretty useless if I can't get the display to auto-rotation. Thanks in advance!

Seems, that I figured this out...

When you uninstall the sensor devices by using Device Manager, Windows 10 do not detect after a reboot and automatically installs the drivers as Windows normally would for any other device (as long as you have the setting enabled in the "Devices and printers" dialog box, it is enabled by default), as I had mentioned previously.

This is because the sensor for my model laptop drivers (Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 (7348)) are part of the Dell 'Intel Chipset Driver' package. There is absolutely no mention of this on the downloads page, which obviously is not very useful:

    www.dell.com/.../DriversDetails

Once I installed this package, all the controls for the rotation of the screen appeared, but they were always in gray.

It turns out that controls the rotation of the screen now gray when you have the laptop open in the "normal position", or with the keyboard on your work surface and the tilted screen back as you would normally use for any another portable computer. Once you either place the laptop on the direction tries or with the keyboard completely folded backward, those controls 'sober up' themselves and can then be changed. To the best of my knowledge, this was not the case in Windows 8.1, and it's easy to fall into entrapment.

Live and learn I guess, but it's not an obvious problem is easy to understand, or at least it wasn't for me. I hope this helps someone.

  • Inspiron 7000 - WIndows 8 reinstall (only)

    Hello

Yesterday, I received my new fantastic Inspiron 7000.  As expected, it is installed with the "trial-ware. Removal of McAfee is extreme pain, and that is why I wish to reinstall with a new image of Windows 8. However, please confirm that the image of Windows 8 appearing as a backup of the system is a vanilla installation and not an existing image which I am emptying everything I want installed.

    Thank you

    Mark

The factory image will restore your computer to the exact state it was in when you first activated with McAfee.

To perform a "clean installation", without any other Windows, you will need a Dell installation disk.  In the United States, you can use this form to request a:
    https://www.Dell.com/support/Diagnostics/us/en/19/nondiagnostichome

Outside the United States, you will need to contact Dell for one.

With a clean install, you will need to download and install all the drivers manually from support.dell.com... start with a system software (if available for your model), then the chipset.
