status of battery

Hi all

for the State of the battery, so far, he says it's good. I have not found on the manual so I wonder what is the 'best' or 'new' battery status... .is it just good or is - that something as excellent... perfect? or is good just the highest metric TPT knows to classify the condition of the battery. is there something more than good for the battery life/status?

Thanks in advance

Mine showed also that 'good '.

How to check the status of battery for Cyber-shot?

Depends on what Cyber-shot you have - in General, there should be a DISP button, or menu on site that display. The State of the battery is usually at the top right.

The DISP button is usually the UP button.

In addition, depending on the type of use of the Cyber-shot battery, it can never just to display the bars, or it can show a percentage.

  • The battery status icon does not display the symbol of the AC power cord when the laptop is running on the current and recharge

I have a Compaq presario with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. A few years after an update of Windows, the status of battery in the systray ICON ceased to display the amount of time left on the battery and it stopped display the symbol of the AC power cord when it was being turned off of the AC adapter.  If I remove the battery, then the cord appears.  Put it back in the slot and the rope faints and I have the same shape of rectangle get you if the computer is running on battery only.  Any ideas how I can get the cord to display when AC power feeds the laptop.

The accumulator is recharged, but there is no busy indication, apart from the height of solid white fill.

    Hi Graeme,

    Thanks again for the update.

Laptop computer should turn on without the battery when it is connected directly to the power source. As Techgod said it could be a hardware problem, it is possible that the problem is with the battery.

I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the laptop to get help.

You can run a health Diagnostics under Device Infobattery test. Choose the powerto choose the battery, then press Start. If you get a GREEN or ORANGE battery status, the battery is good. If you get a RED the device needs a repair or replacement under warranty.

We cannot rely on 3rd party applications to test the battery from Touchpad.

  • Satellite M40: USB Audio does not work properly in ACPI mode

    Hi all
I just bought a laptop Satellite M40 whose purpose is to be used as a portable audio system.
For this, the USB audio devices are an excellent solution.

Unfortunately, although it was working properly when recording (sound is perfect with all devices compatible USB Audio, I have tested), there is a problem in reading that I had a lot of clicks and POPs.

After a lot of research trying and google, I solved the problem by changing the computer ACPI PC Standard mode.
    This is a workaround.

But this way, I don't remember what my status of battery, and my laptop does not shut down automatically.
Actually, my laptop is no longer run as a laptop :(

I suspect a very serious problem in a Toshiba components management. In particular, I wouldn't be surprised to be told that freeze the cords of some regular system of court management, and therefore the 10ms buffers audio USB fall in against the recess.

This would be so much bother me if I were not part of the technical support team of the company that launches also a few new audio USB products who will not fail to work correctly with laptops.

    My question is:
Is there a driver / updating bios that gets rid of this problem?
If a person of Toshiba technical support to address this issue directly with me, I'd be happy to help, as I am personally and professionally concerned.

    Thanks in advance.

    [Edited by: admin]

    Hello

I put t know what USB audio device you use, but most of the USB audio devices cannot use the USB power. These devices have need of an external power supply of A.C and especially this external power supplies are delivered with the USB audio device.

Also, I read on some sites that the pop occurs sometimes due to non synchronicity of the modules different buffers or / and of the use of certain applications in parallel.

The computer ACPI PC Standard mode change is one of the many solutions and proposals
You can check some patches from Microsoft. Check if all updates from Microsoft are installed.
Also change the performance options in the options of the system to adjust for best performance.
    Disable Windows messenger.
Virtual memory should be set to custom size and initial size and maximum size must has the same value (ie. 512/512)
In the system.ini should the vcache is also the same: MinFileCache = 16384, MaxFileCache = 16384
Disable the peripherals such as scanner, printer.

As you can see, these issues could occur on all computers (desktop and laptop) and it s is not a problem of Toshiba. Also, contact the manufacturer for support external audio device and detailed information.

    Good luck

  • G500s loading problems

    Hello

I've been using G500s for 2 years. Is having some problems of charging since last 1. After using for a while or playing a game, his forehead two LEDs (ON / OFF status and battery LED) began flashing and portable load order. After a while he starts again to load and keeps repeating this process. Initially it was rare, but now it happens every time. It's very irritating. Please tell me what is wrong with my laptop or any other solution that I should try. I already tried to take the battery out and pressing power for 30 seconds and also I updated to the drivers of the battery. I will wait for you for a quick response. Thank you.

I gave my laptop for repair and discovered what was wrong with her. In fact, power jack (connector) burned and was not working. I'll have to get the repaired part. Service shop people have not been able to find this replacement part yet. I hope it gets fixed soon.

The attention! Power adapter AC power and the type cannot be determined. The battery may not charge. The system will adjust the performance to match the power available.
Note: This warning can be disabled in the BIOS Setup.

I don't worry for a couple of days, but when I plugged in the power adapter, the battery status said "battery level of 48% (plugged in, does not support).

In the settings of the BIOS under General battery information, he showed "AC adapter / CC = unknown" under System Logs, events of the BIOS, he showed: DateTime "alert!" Unknown sector adapter, can affect performance. »

I clicked on the 'Diagnostic' button on the start page alert and Dell SupportAssist under "Battery and AC adapter" report shows "current adapter: 1 watt adapter, top: n/a, low: n/a.

The little blue light on the plug of the adapter lights up.

Many people have encountered similar problems with Dell laptops, but there only seems to be as well as workarounds and very few solutions. I have a very short time period in which to return the machine, and I'm not at all a type of material, so I'm not opening upward.

@rmaurer: I forgot to mention the battery drain, but the mine who did as well.

The idea of 'everything back and get another' is never very satisfying for me. Especially if I have to keep doing it over and over again (like bobcawman, above), and he never really addresses the problem. If this is the case, then it seems that I bought a bad product, not only got a defective unit.

The solution for me was to back up all my data by using the Desktop Manager, then reload the operating system of the VZW website software. The process was a bit complicated, and I'm sorry, I don't remember the exact steps to share here, but there is an option on the web site for the latest version of the software (4.5 for Verizon, I think). That solved the problem for me so far. I suppose however that the real question, why what is happening with so many people. I've seen many, many messages on exactly the same thing. I wonder if it's an issue just with the previous version of the software, or something more serious with the 8330 in general operating system.

    I'll wait and see...

  • Super Micro servers ESXi 5

We are currently stuck running with a 3Ware 9750 Raid card normally I would like to run servers HP esx4.1, but it's a long story.

I'm looking for some advice on an array controller that support 4 internal ports for sata 3 gb/6 GB disks.

I am looking for vsphere support so we can monitor the status of the drives and the table directly from there.

LSI suggestion at this stage, therefore a small Linux on each host that is running the software 3dm using the direct path to access the controller.

I'm not sure it's the best thing, but a machine using 256 MB of ram would not be the end of the world.

Others use? I can't be the only one in this situation.

Battery tests are run automatically by the BIOS OF THE controller.  VCenter can be configured to warn on the RAID array status or battery status issues.
