  I recently spilled something on my keyboard and some of the keys stick, I removed to clean it, but there's a money attached to the key backup.

• How long they durent batteries after a full charge on Equium A200?

  Just buy an A200 Equium and it loads for about eight hours, when I start the battery life doesn't seem very long for me. Is said about 1 hour 12 minutes of life left. Doesn't seem very long after an eight-hour charge.

  Is it normal to get only a little more than an hour of time on laptop after recharged? Never had before. Appreciate any input.

  There is no difference how long the battery is charged. If the battery is fully charged with the loading process stops. If you have 2 or 10 hours on power running it makes no difference.

  If the battery LED is blue the battery is charged completely. How long you can use laptop on battery? Good question. It is not possible to say exactly how long you can use your laptop because t relies on the use of the laptop, but the fact is that battery life is noticeable shorter under Vista than Windows XP Home edition. The Vista operating system need a lot more resources and consume much more power.

  Having bought just my A200-196, I realize the original 80 GB hard drive will not be soon enough. I want to update before I add too much software. Question is what I do on the hidden partition "EISA Configuration". I guess if it is not present I won't be able to do a system restore. I don't know if I need to copy (clone) for the new 160 GB drive and if so what utility used to copy. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

  You are right. Vista operating system creates two partitions; one for the operating system and the other (hidden partition) for the restoration of the system.
  If you delete this partition, then you will not be able to use Vista's system restore feature

• Equium A200-196 death: blank screen, no disk, no POST activity

  Trying to solve a problem with a Satellite A200-196. It is:

  1. Press power button / stop (I tried with AC connected and just battery). Drive HARD light flashes briefly and then system is simply irrelevant.
  White screen, no. more disk HARD activity, NO POST or BIOS available.

  Things tried so far:

  AC Power and removed battery waited a good amount of minutes. Reinstall battery and AC power are trying to start - same as above.
  Deleted modules of memory and power - even
  Removed the hard drive and power - even
  Left Hard Disk and Modules of memory on and Powered up - same

  What happened to the BIOS beep Codes? Kind off makes life difficult when trying to troublshoot an issue and that the computer gives you no feedback.

  These problems without beep code and no post are often caused by the motherboard. I think this part is defective and should be replaced.

  Go to a local ASP they can check your laptop and the exchange of the necessary parts.

  But I lotso function keys, I was expecting

  If you want to downgrade OS on your Vista preinstalled laptop, it's very important to do BIOS update. If I remember correctly, it must be updated to BIOS version 5.20. Please check on the Toshiba download page.

  After the BIOS update, please install all the stuff of the Toshiba download page according to document Instructions of facilities. The order of the facilities is very important. In this case, everything should work well.

  Please be careful with the update of the BIOS. Download update for your model of laptop tracking number PSxxx. Before you begin to update BIOS don't forget that the laptop is connected to the power supply current.

  Hi, I accidentally cut on my sticky keys. I hit the SHIFT key five times, according to the microsoft.com; However, it will not unlock. When I try to type, I hear a noise, but I don't see anything happening. Any suggestions?  Thank you!

  Sticky keys are enabled on the computer and that is why you are getting the beep when you try to type something using the keyboard. You must disable sticky keys.

  To activate deactivate StickyKeys, follow these steps:

  1. click on start and then click Control Panel. 2. click on 'Ease of access' and then click 'accessibility '. 3. under "Explore all settings" click on "Make the keyboard easier to use". 4. under "make it easier to type", uncheck "Turn on Sticky Keys" and click Save. • Equium A200 fails to pick up WLan after fashion "Eve"

  My laptop Equium A200 fails to capture my wireless network when awakening from the sleep state, even though another laptop alongside of picks up immediately, like my cell phone.

  I downloaded the updated driver.

  If the computer is restarted it back pretty quickly.
  As I use 'sleep' a lot it is very frustrating. any ideas anyone?

  I remember that my laptop has developed the same issue. But it was just for a short period.
  After the awakening of the mode setting in hibernation, the cannot connect to router Wlan Wlan.
  But I fixed the link and that was the key.
  In the taskbar right click on WLan icon and choose repair.
  The DNS address IP etc. should be updated and usually helps.

  I ve also renew the IP address in the command box (start back box command: cmd)
  I used the command: + ipconfig / renew.

• I can't disable sticky keys

  I have a Compaq with windows 7 and stay lit and even if the keys i unchecked and re-check all options over and over again I may not go down and her do all really hard. If someone could help me as soon as it would be great. Thank you

  I had the same problem earlier.  Disabled and enabled the sticky key option again and again, rebooted the PC and nothing fixed it.

  In the end, I had to hold the SHIFT key for about 30 seconds without interruption, until you hear a strange noise of slope high.  This fixed it for me.

  Looks like a bug to me.

• How to use sticky keys?

  I have rsi and coordination/proprioception problems, so I can't type without looking at where I tape and cannot coordinate both hands, can not use some grips and cannot use contact devices unless I can turn off the tapping and disable most of the movements.   I can type fairly quickly, as long as I can see as I type and all the key combos are not suitable for the same hand.

  Also the keyboard and the keyboard Viewer do not work together. I can't use shift a keyboard, and then click the appropriate on the other letter.

  Hi, have a problem with keys sticky, but in my case in combination with voiceover active: whenever I press a modifier (ctrl, shift, etc.), voiceover announces the sticky keys are enabled. It's so boring that I can't be happy with my macbook air and imac. I'd also like capslock key, acting as a sticky when voiceover modifier key key is assigned to capslock in combination with sticky keys are enabled. • Equium A200: Modem USB - disconnection after a few min

  I have a Toshiba Equium A200 computer laptop with Windows 7 32 bit. I have been using a Modem to USB Internet MTN on it for a year now.

  Two months ago my Web pages stopped loading (on Google Chrome, Firefox, each one) USB would be connected, with a good connection, but after 2-3 minutes of surfing, my webpages simply won t load more, unless I do a restart, in which case I would just repeat the process.

  I contacted my ISP, it s not their fault. I have re-installed all the drivers needed, re-installed the USB modem, I uninstalled and reinstalled all of my webbrowers.

  The USB modem works fine on all other computers. Other USB modems are suffering from the same problem on my laptop, SO the problem is somewhere on my laptop.

  Is there a setting some hand what should I change? Port A setting, or something in the registry may be editor? I have to re - install WIndows 7?

  I really want to fix myself, before returning to the tech guys, they are VERY expensive, where I stay.

  Your help is appreciated kindly!

  UPDATE: the Council following another forum seems to have worked:

  Turn off, saving the settings for hubs/USB ports on Device Manager and see if that corrects issues. I had Windows do stupid shit with power settings USB before who would constantly unplug my mouse.

• Some keys no longer work on Satellite A200-196 after Windows 7 update

  Hi all, I've just upgraded computer laptop of my partner (a Toshiba Satellite A200-196) to Windows 7 after you initially install Windows XP on it (it came with Vista).

  After the XP update, I noticed that some keys were not working. I don't remember the process that I used to solve the problem, but the difficulty that I did, and they were all soon works perfectly. So this is a software problem and not material. I think he might have something to do with the FN key - but I can't be sure.

  Now, I just upgraded the same machine and I have exactly the same problem. Keys that don't work are Backspace, O, P, F, H, K and L.

  Can anyone help please? I tried to reinstall Win7 and the problem is still there.

  These keys have nothing to do with the missing software.
  Indeed, the function key (FN key) needs a Toshiba utility particular installation / software to make it work, but the keys Backspace, O, P, F, H, K and L are common keys on the keyboard that don t need no special software.

  That's why I think that the problem is hardware related: simple keyboard malfunction.
  I guess that all of these keys work correctly if you sign in and use the external USB keyboard.
