  No, licenses are only valid for the version for which they are purchased.  CS6 license will work not for a CS4 product.

  I was getting a long error while trying to open PPro CS6.  I thought that I would like to uninstall just PPro CS6 and now it seems to have disappeared and now I am unable to reinstall.  My Application Manager shows the "Adobe first Pro CS6 family" to be "up-to-date".  I need to reinstall PPro CS6.  Can someone help me?

  -Rendering account I had to uninstall but still not only PPro CS6, and other elements.  The application manager now acknowledges that PPro CS6 disappeared.  Downloaded re and re install now.

  FINALLY I FOUND THE SOLUTION!

  This problem appeared after Premiere Pro cs6 update 6.0.5. and Nvidia graphic drivers at 320... then 331,65. Reading CUDA started working correctly when I reinstalled the graphics drivers Nvidia 307.07 old. It was very unsupposed problem. NEVER DAY drivers and the system until that your projects are completed!
