Stills in Adobe

Going on my 3rd year in subscription first and ae. and my 5th year using both. I still don't understand why the best nle the world can't handle the easier stills. Photoshop manages video 10 times better than its cousins handle stills video. In sony vegas I drop a sill on the timeline of a system folder, it would be to develop properly and if I needed more as a plate of chromakey I would drag until it clicks quickly to the desired length and that's all. In less than 30 seconds or less.just key J and cook in the oven. So whats adobes sauce secret to that. In Adobe I spend hours by copying and pasting 5 seconds of still images until I reached 4 minutes or more. Why it can't be as fast as Vegas, I missing something here?

Yikes!

Why are not only drag you the still to extend life?

With respect to the scaling, it is simple if you know that the photos are of the same camera, just find the right percentage of scale and still apply it to each peak. You can easily copy the first photo and apply the setting of scale of everything at the same time.

Maybe you should explain what you do exactly. Or if you have not tried just hanging out?
