STOP: 0x0000008E and system restore

Hello world

My Windows Vista recently blue armored to Midway through the boot process, see the details of technical error following:

STOP: 0X0000008E (0C 0000005, 0 X 00000000, 0XB71D5A48, 0X00000000)

The error always appears during startup in normal mode (i.e. after the entry are the PW Windows and during the loading of the incons office etc.).  My machine never blue armored in safe mode.

Don't know if it is a hardware or software error, I did a restore of the system for three weeks before.

The system seems to work fine now.

All hunch that it was a mistake to orsoftware material? What can I do to avoid blue screen in the future?

Your ideas are appreciated.

Cause

Bug KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED control is a very common bug control. To interpret it, you must identify which exception has been generated.

Common exception codes are:

  • 0xc0000005: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION indicates that a memory access violation has occurred.

Solve the problem

If you do not have to debug this problem, you must use certain basic troubleshooting techniques:

  • Make sure you have enough disk space.
  • If a driver is identified in the bug check message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates.
  • Try changing video cards.
  • Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS.
  • Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading.

If you plan to debug this problem, you may find it difficult to get a stack trace. Parameter 2 (the address of the exception) should identify the driver or function that caused the problem.

If you do not know the specific cause of the exception, consider the following:

  • Hardware incompatibility. Ensure that all new equipment installed is listed in the list of the products tested Microsoft Windows market.
  • Service driver or defective peripheral system. A chauffeur service or defective peripheral system could be responsible for this error. The hardware problems, such as BIOS incompatibilities, conflicts of memory and IRQ conflicts can also generate this error.

If the verification of the message bug list a driver by name, disable or remove that driver. In addition, disable or remove drivers or services that have been recently added. Check the system log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help identify the device or driver responsible for control of bug 0x1E. You can disable the cache in memory of the BIOS to try to resolve the error. You must also run the diagnostics of material, especially the scanner memory, which provides the manufacturer of the system. For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.

The error that generates this message may occur after the first reboot during Windows Setup, or after installation is complete. A possible cause of the error is lack of disk space for installation and the system BIOS incompatibilities. For any problems during the installation of Windows that are associated with lack of disk space, reduce the number of files on the hard disk drive target. Search and delete temporary files that you do not have to have, files hidden Internet, application backup files and files saved.chk, which contain fragments of files on disk scans. You can also use an another hard disk drive with more free space for the installation.

  • Update system Windsor 0x800A0046 error and System Restore does not.

    I think my computer is sick.

    I can't update Windows XP SP 3.  I get the same error 0x800A0046.  Automatic Updates does not work either. When I run the system restore, I can't stop pck a restor point I get a hourgalss and just process, no warning or messages.

    I tried all the patches on the Microsoft Web site, and none of them work.  I also scanned for viruses and malware, and nothing is detected.

  • Printer continues to stop & requires the system restore?

    We noticed a delay problem where printer stop printing.  What happens with XP and Windows7, but they show different symptoms:

    With XP, the printer also show online.  However, to get anything to print.  It affects all users, is not corrected by updated printer spooler restarts, restart, change USB port, cable changes or printer resets.  No errors in the logs.

    With Windows7, printers go offline or completely disappear and stop the spooler.  You can restart the spooler and printers reappear for a short period, but they disappear in a few seconds.  As noted above, nothing seems to correct the problem.  It's just generic elements in newspapers, but nothing specific.

    The only thing that solves the problem is a system restore?  We can link to problems individuals patch.

    The only thing that helps for XP and Win 7 is the system restore?  Looks like corrupted printer drivers (even though it's a bit strange that you experience on the two operating systems).

    Simply download and install a fresh printer driver is not enough.  You have to clean the old one.

    For XP, see His Article.  The critical step is step 4.

    For Windows 7, replace step 4 with the following text:
    Restart the print spooler
    Open devices and printers
    Select a printer (click only)
    Click the print server properties in the toolbar at the top of the window
    Click the tab drivers
    Remove the suspect drivers

    If you can not do what the above because the print spooler is not running, after return and specify which version of Windows 7 you have.

    You said this system Win 8 lance on this laptop.
    As far as I know this laptop Satellite L750D-14R was pre-installed with Win 7 64 bit OS.
    This means that the HARD drive recovery process does not work because the contents of the HARD drive and partitions have been changed!

    To retrieve the computer laptop back to factory settings, you should the Toshiba Recovery disk/medium. If you have not created this disk then you can order it here:

    In any case, I guess that the connection to the LAN does not work due to driver LAN problem.
    I recommend you to uninstall the network driver (in Device Manager) and download the latest driver LAN available from the Toshiba UE driver page.

    After installation of the driver LAN restart the laptop.

  • Repartitioning and system restore issues

    I have a laptop Pavilion DV6-6193 running Windows 7 x 64 Edition Home Premium, and I want to set up in an environment multiboot (Fedora, Ubuntu, Win7 Professional and the existing Win 7 Home Premium). However, since the original factory configuration created 4 primary partitions (C, D, HP_Tools, System), I have to convert the C: partition to an extent of logical drives that I need to create.  I created recovery DVD the day I brought the computer home laptop, and I have a few questions (sorry if this post is a little long - thanks for reading!):

    (1) if I change the configuration of the partition (creating the C extended partition with logical drives of different sizes), can the recovery CD restore a full wipe and system drive if I need to restore the drive to its factory condition, no matter how I manipulate the partitions of the plant or make these discs just restore C drive : ? The process of recovering factory State would work if I reformatted the drive completely?

    In other words, the recovery CD still work if I change the factory partition scheme, and they go to work, will be the Act of destructive recovery process to reformat the entire disk and recreate it as it was the day he left the factory (C, D, [Active] system and HP_tools of the score), what I need?  I did not understand if this is the case, or if the recovery process would simply restore the C: drive and the hidden system partition (not actually a complete restoration).

    (2) I thought to use the native Windows 7 system image tool to create an image of the entire disk in case I need to restore it, but given that the HP_tools hidden partition is FAT32 formatted, I can't image with native Windows tools. As I understand it, this hidden partition contains related software of the UEFI BIOS, so I don't want to reformat the hard drive and lose this partition if it cannot be recreated by the recovery disks.  Is there any software free imaging that can image and restore the entire disk, even if it contains partitions FAT32 and NTFS?

    Your recovery disks will return the laptop to its factory condition (IE with the four primary Partitions you have now), no matter how you have partitioned the HARD disk in the meantime - in fact, when you use the discs, there is no way to avoid this, it is important to backup the contents of any custom partition because they will be erased by the recovery process.

    Hi all

    During the last weeks of twoo many discussion happened for WinDef - and MSE-error 8050800c.  The problem known inside this WInDef cannot scan or update at required intervals, created havoc and thousands of users are complaining about and at the same time try to find a solution.

    I am one of those users.  The question is not only that MS has not come up with a fix, but also this WinDef exhibits strange behavior.  Strange in a sense that one day working and the other is not.

    At the same time, people started having problems with the system restore in Vista, where everything is working correctly, except for the fact that the system will be back on the date indicated, coming with a notification "unknown error" and an error code 80070002.

    I am one of those users too.  Looking around the solutions both almost simultaneously and recent issues that hit my pc, I found that the solutions proposed by the MS people are circling around the keys to register ProfileImage.

    These questions are treated as separate issues, I think they are related.  For example, in this forum, regarding the error of WinDef a solution has been proposed recently around the ProfileImage.

    But a similar thing has been proposed by MS team, study the problems of SR points.

    This happens when the Windows Vista Restore Wizard cannot access the files due to access denied or restore points missing or damaged.

    To restore the computer to a previous state, make sure that there are no corrupt restore points and backup Windows and Volume shadow copy services are also running.

    Connect to the computer as an administrator and follow these steps.
    1. start Windows Backup and Volume Shadow Copy services.
    a. Click Start, type services.msc and press to enter.
    b. search for Windows Backup and Volume Shadow Copy services and start them.
    2 start the computer in safe mode and open the system restore and check the result.

    You can try to perform a checkdisk boot from the Installation of Windows Vista disk and check.

    a. Insert the installation disc.

    b. restart your computer.

    c. click on the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart. If you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.

    Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings.

    d. choose your language settings, and then click Next.

    e. in the System Recovery Options menu, click command prompt

    f. at a command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER

    Chkdsk /f /r X: (drive letter)

    g. press y when you are prompted to check the drive the next time the system restarts.

    h. restart the computer and check.

    Note: When you run the disk check, there is a chance of losing the data that you can take a rapidespour of important data before you run checkdisk.

    Hi my computer is having some major problems.i have an elite of HP Pavilion with windows vista (home I think?) 32-bit.     Looks like you may have a hardware problem

    You can't just borrow anybodys vista recovery disk

    manufacturer's recovery disks are the brand and the specific model

    for HP, press F11 at startup to start the recovery process

    or contact HP and ask them to send you in vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

    they do it for a nominal cost of $

    or borrow a vista microsoft dvd

    Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

    they contain all versions of vista

    This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

    So, recently, I was on my computer of gf and noticed she had some updates, it could use his computer which included the SP1 update.  So I went through the process trying to update his computer and he has been a disaster and have had many problems and seems to have tried everything.  It has a Dell inspiron 1525 and has no CD and no key for its program of Vista.  I burned a Vista recovery disk and tried troubleshooting by using that, but have not had much luck.  When I use the Startup Repair tool there is no nothing.  So I tried to use the restore of the system with the Description of "install: Windows Vista Service Pack 1.  He had a restore point saved just before I tried to update to SP1.  Whenever I chose this method, it's but the whole process then in the end it says:

    "System restore was not entirely successful.  File system and the setting of your computer have not changed. "

    then he begins to list the details with the error code (0x80071AA7) and then gives me the option to close or 'Run System Restore"once again that is an endless loop, because I just end up with the same error each time.  If anyone has had this problem and bring myself through it.  I don't want to reinstall windows because it seems simply ridiculous and plus that she a lot of pictures on his computer and I want to get rid of those.

    As for installing updates is concerned, I you should install them after you put your computer in aclean boot State. There could be a third-party software in conflict with updates. Clean boot helps eliminate these conflicts.

  • Power and system restore options will not start

    Yesterday I used system restore to restore my computer from a restore point when I had problems burning files to disk. The restoration seems to go smoothly. However, now I can't access power from the taskbar options (I use a laptop) or the control panel. When I click the icon, nothing happens. So, I tried to open the system to always restore in mind to find a different restore point. However, when I right click on "Computer" in the start menu and click on 'Properties', the same thing happens: nothing. It's the same, click "Recovery" in the control panel.
    Therefore, I entered "rstrui.exe" from the command prompt and finally got to come system restore window. However, there are an error message that says:
    "System restore is not seem to work correctly on this system." An element of Volume Shadow Copy Service has encountered an unexpected error. Check the log of events applications for more information. (0 x 80042302)
    So I typed "Services.msc" in the start menu and clicked on it, but yet again, nothing happens.
    Right now I'm running a scan with Malwarebytes malware, after which I intend to try to do a restore of the system in safe mode, but I fear that it won't work because I already tried to start safe mode power options and it did not work (that was before I realized the system restore was not functional).
    Can someone please? Thank you.

    Edit: both pis. I was able to fix the problem with sfc/scannow from an elevated command prompt. There were files corrupt system that have been properly repaired. Now the system restore works, but it is no longer necessary.
