"Stop 0x000000A5 the BIOS of the system is not fully ACPI-compatible every time as the installation of a new windows 7 integral over Inspiron 15R N5110.

Hello

I have installed Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit on many brands of laptops, but when I installed it on Inspiron 15R N5110, (core i5 and 4GBRAM). I faced an error at startup of windows 7 after completing the installation.
NOTE: When the installation finished and restarted my computer, this window shown to me.

Two options from the two options above I chose, I found myself with the blue screen:

Error blue screen said something these ' BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI-compatible. Contact your system provider for an updated BIOS I don't know what that means and I don't know where is the culprit. I wish I could capture this error screen. However, it is impossible to do because I wasn't the Windows environment.

Even if the error related to BIOS necessary for the update, so how could I update as long as windows has not begun.

Is there something that needs to be configured in the BIOS before installing Windows 7 on Dell laptops.
I'm quite surprised that the previous system was windows 7, but it was Home Premium.

The strangest thing is when I tried to start to repair the disk and even disk instillation of Windows to resolve startup problems, I found that this startup repair couldn't fix problems.

When I tried to do these steps:

  1. Insert your Windows XP CD into the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive, and then restart your computer from the CD.

Note Some computers may require you change basic input/output system (BIOS) settings before you can start the computer from a CD-ROM. For more information about changing the BIOS, see your computer documentation.
  2. When the "Welcome" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console.
  3. If your computer is configured to dual-boot or multiple boot, select the appropriate installation of Windows XP.
  4. When you are prompted to do so, type the administrator password and press ENTER.
Note By default, the administrator password is blank in Windows XP Home Edition.
  5. By default, Hiberfil.sys is usually located in the directory root (C:\). At the command prompt, type del hiberfil.sys and then press ENTER.
  6. Restart the computer.
When I arrived at "system recovery options, I saw that my system is listed, then I chose then, but I found myself with this ' this"system recovery options"version is not compatible with the version of windows that you are trying to fix." Try to use a different compatible with this version of windows recovery disk, even if I'm sure only that the same disk to install windows I have installed since.

NOTE: I do not add RAM or other devices. There is a windows 7 Home premium and I just re installed a windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. I don't really know what the previous windows version 7 is 32 or 64 bit.
I checked the dell forum and I found ' your computer goto your BIOS F2

That goto advance Select ATA to instead of AHCPI save the setting, and then try to restart your Windows 7

hope it will work. »

But he did not AHCPI, but I found AHCI and let ATA instead of AHCI, but no difference that happened.

Hello

Check the steps suggested by LoneWolf1983 from the link below and see if it helps.

Warning: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly. BIOS update should be made only if necessary (to solve a compatibility problem, for example). It can be a complicated process, and if an error occurs, your computer could be rendered inoperative. Be sure to observe the instructions of the manufacturer.

Thank you very much

I checked this thread, and I found this solves the problem

I have changed the serial port in the BIOS for 2F8/IRQ3 and I have not had a blue screen since... fingers crossed, it's her!

But as you know that no matter what BIOS are different from others.

Thus, I have not found any serial port in the BIOS to be replaced by 2F8/IRQ3

NOTE: My problem is when you install a new version of Windows.

In addition, every time a new windows installation 7 and facing the Blue error screen, I started to Macrium Rescue CD and clicked "fix windows startup", and then when restart my windows, I was not facing the the Blue error screen. If windows starts successfully.

If the blue screen error was tied to the BIOS, the Refelct Macrium rescue CD wouldn't no matter what (not know this problem)

    Hello

    Can help with this problem?
It is said on a blue screen when I start my laptop: this Bios is not fully ACPI comliant. It was in windows xp.
Recently upgraded to windows 7 but hey ho always the same error.

All the bios etc, usual default settings was eager Flash the BIOS to see if that can help, but cannot because the update of the BIOS is windows based program... grrrr cannot get into windows!

    Hey Buddy,

You can start Windows in safe mode?
Enter the advanced Windows (key F8) boot menu, and then select Safe mode. Windows starts without driver and usually it should always work.

Also have you tested it with the factory settings? Try to install Windows with all tools and pre-tested drivers recovery disk. This recovery image is pre-tested by Toshiba and everything should work if not it s serious malfunction of equipment.

  • Satellite Pro A30 with BIOS not fully ACPI compatible for VISTA

I would use my beloved sitting Pro A30 to dual boot with Windows XP Home edition and Vista but having bought a 80 gig HARD drive and would divide in 2 partitions, I have now WXP SP2 running on the first partition, but try to install vista on the second I get the message: "BIOS IS NOT FULLY ACPI COMPLIANT".

I ran the compatibility of vista online check and gave the OK and have the latest version of the bios v1.80. Do I have to buy a laptop?

Yes. Your laptop is not supported in Vista. Sorry but there is no chance of having Vista BIOS support.

  • Satellite Pro A10 stops during the installation of Windows

I have a satellite Pro A10, which stops during the installation of Windows. The installation gets to the part where I need to select the HARD drive to install, then the system off just. I can restart it immediately, and the sdame happens.

If I enter the BIOS, everything is detected OK, and I've updated to the latest version (V1.4). Also when in the BIOS, the system will remain under tension for ever and a day! and no downtime. I have a couple of diagnostic CD, then run the tests is the same thing, but I ran the seagate diagnostic tool and the HDD OK passes, as does the main map, but cannot perform detailed testing that the system shuts down during the tests.

I suspect an overheating issue but would like advice.

Hmmm it s very strange. I thought that the HARD drive could malfunctions but it of very impossible if the HARD drive has passed the Seagate diagnostic test.

However, it would be very interesting to know if the installation of the OS would end with another HARD drive.
You know, it of always difficult to provide an exact solution without any diagnostic tests.

For me, it really looks like a hardware malfunction. So perhaps it would be advisable to contact the authorized Toshiba maintainer for a control of the laptop.
Guys could run tests and would situate the fault quickly.

  • Cannot install Windows 7 "Windows didn't prepare the computer to start the next phase of the installation." to install Windows, restart the application.

Original title: Installation of Windows 7.

I tried to install Windows 7 (clean install from XP and reveived the following message is displayed:)

Windows didn't prepare the computer to start the next phase of the installation.  to install Windows, restart the application.

I restarted my PC, anti anti-virus disabled (as advised) and still get the error message.

According to the Upgrade Advisor Windows 7 my PC is compatible.

    Any ideas?

If you have compatible hardware and your computer still stops responding, disable any unnecessary material. Remove (USB) universal serial bus devices. Remove or disable network cards, sound cards and cards of the series; and then restart the installation.

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

  • When I click on the + to open a new window I don't like the images that arise. I tried to change that in all: config; Browser.newtab.URL, but it will not

When I click on the + to open a new window I don't like the images that arise. I tried several times to change that through words: config; Browser.newtab.URL. I put in the site I want and it won't change. I tried to put in: blank and it don't work. I'm obviously something wrong - can you help please?

    Thank you

If Firefox is ignorant preference browser.newtab.url, the usual culprit is an extension.

You can open the page in Firefox Add-ons using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
    • in the Windows "Run" dialog box, type or paste
      firefox.exe "about:addons"

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions. Do not forget that all extensions are optional, none come with Firefox, and you can learn more about them by checking their reviews on the site of the Add - ons.

Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

  • Why in the context menu of the "open in a new tab" and the "open in a new window" - buttons change of place? And you can change it back?

With the Firefox 4 RC, the 'open in a new tab' and the 'open in a new window' - buttons have changed places. This is quite annoying because I normally do without looking, but now it always opens in a new window instead of a new tab. Is it possible to restore it? Perhaps in your own settings?
