stop randomly without warning, it comes to vista Home premium
Since early March, my computer has been stop ramdom when I get on the web. The site he does most often is face book, but she will do so on any web site after a period of time. Some time he'll do when the web is not yet in place. I tested with my anitvirus but he continued to do after that. Please help it is very rustrating. It's vista home permium.
In case of overheating, usually due to airflow restricted, it will stop. Make sure your fans are working and are looking for a build up of dust. Remove the side panel will be necessary, because the fan may look great from the outside, but still have an accumulation of dust on the inside. Bruce Hagen ~ MS - MVP [Mail]

Vista Home Premium problem: the system automatically restarts
I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 with Vista Home Premium installed on it. I bought it about two years ago. Last month, the laptop always automatically restart. Although I restore the system to its factory, the problem still exist. I also use recovery disk, but it has not solved the problem. And then I intend to reinstall my vista Home premium. However, I don't have an installation disc. This is because as my laptop with Vista Home premium pre-installed on it. How could I get a vista installation disc Home premium? If I contact the manufacturer (Toshiba) or you can get it from Microsoft?
Thank youAndi
original title: problem Vista Home Premium
If the laptop comes with Vista Home Premium installed, then do a restore to factory re-installed this program.
Go to start / computer / system properties and read what is installed on your system. It's probably Vista Home Premium. You don't need the disk to re - install anything else (and recovery options will not solve the problem if a full restore to factory settings did the trick).
You can get in trouble with your device drivers (but I doubt it). Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears. Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white? These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else). Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips. If you need to get drivers (and you need you to do all you have time to do - they help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates). In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm. Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.
It seems to me like some kind of hardware problem which is the cause after what you did to remedy. If the above does not work, then I suggest that you take it for a repair of computer diagnostic and repair shop. Make sure that you back up your first data as they can wipe the hard drive clean for their efforts. Before that, you can contact the manufacturer to see if they can offer advice or suggestions (and check how their use to maintain the machine would cost).
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

Satellite Pro started to stop abruptly without warning
Hello
Can someone advise me, I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop, it is around the age of 13 months, and he began to stop abruptly without warning.
It seems to be when I run high processor applications.I have 3 questions,
(1) it is first of all, this laptop will always be covered by the warranty, even if he is 13 months old?
(2) is it a simple fix for this problem of overheating?
(3) I looked online and it seems to be a very common problem with Toshiba laptops, has there been a recall on all models?
Thanks for any help you can give me?
> 1) the first is, this laptop will always be covered by the warranty, even if he is 13 months old?
Standard warranty covers portable duration 12 months. If you didn t buy additional coverage then the manufacturer's warranty no longer valid.
But in my country, the dealer covers the portable 24 months long then maybe you should ask your dealer for info.(> 2) is there a simple fix for this problem of overheating?
Well, the temperature could be higher because of the dust and debris inside the cooling rack.
You could possibly solve this cleaning fans and cooling grids. I use the jet of compressed air. This could help you as it helped me(> 3) I looked online and it seems to be a very common problem with Toshiba laptops, has there been a recall on all models?
This isn't a problem common with Toshiba notebook but unusual for all series of laptops from all brands.
After a while the debris may clog the cooling system because the cooling fans are always placed at the bottom of the unit.
It is advisable to clean the fans from time to time to ensure good air circulation. -
Satellite P20-521 turns off randomly without warning

To restore using factory settings.
Or should I return my Toshiba laptopHello
As Johnny writes that you should try to clean the unit. I used Satellite P20 for two years and remove the cooling in the lower corner, I found a lot of dust inside. After that cleaning of the laptop was much more calm and cooling fan did not run at full speed as before.
I imagine that your laptop may not be cooled properly and the result is overheating. Your first step should be to remove dust. Look at how the laptop runs after doing this. If the laptop starts to cut again please write us again.

I have an ACER aspire x 3200 64 bit sytem with vista home premium which has been randomly locking up and freezing. The only mistakes were event 6008 with a description of the stop system prior to (time) on (date) was not planned.
When these errors originally occurred, I returned the system to acer and they installed a new hard drive. After updating the vista system blockages continue 30 times over a period of 3 months. Acer sent me a new disk image on 3 disks that I have installed and updated on 11 October. There is no blocking until the 10/27, 10/28, and for the 3rd time today.
The closed unexpected gives a blue screen if I use the locking system to the top. I have to hold the power to restart when the system crashes.
Can someone help me solve this problem?Do you know when this problem started? Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started. Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/. Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points. If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two. NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates. But I guess it's too late for this for so long that there are probably no so old restore points.
If the system restore does not work, do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc. Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html. You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD. To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation. Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit. Put the CD in the drive and reboot. When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.
If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.
If this does not work, try to start in safe mode (repeatedly hit F8 key so that the start and go in safe mode with networking). Then we will check some of your system files:
Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run. It will scan and try to correct some of your system files. If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.
While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run. It will scan and try to solve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a cause.
If this does not work, then please post repetitive errors in Event Viewer on the stop (Start / Control Panel / administrative tools / Event Viewer). Here's how to use Event Viewer: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic40108.html. From what I understand, there is none of the events (which surprises me because a freeze should certainly generate an error event).
If this does not work, you will need to do a repair/system upgrade using the Windows Vista Installation disc authentic (you own or that you can borrow from someone). Here is the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html as well as the upgrade from an earlier version of the Windows section of the following: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918884. Although this will not affect your data, settings or programs, you should always back up your data before you start just be on the safe side. If other procedures do not work, it is almost certain to work (but you NEED a disc). You can have a lot of updates to re - install (including all you need to remove service packs). If the version on system with SP1 or SP2 preinstalled cane and the disc is an earlier version, then you will need to do a slipstream drive as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/151606-vista-sp1-slipstream-installation-dvd.html.
I hope one of these procedures can solve your problem. If this isn't the case, after return and we will try something else. Return message anyway so we know how it turns out.
Good luck!

Blue Screen at shutdown - STOP: 0x0000 008F (Vista Home Premium 32-bit)
Whenever I stop, I get a blue screen of death. I had not used my computer for a few months, so I do not remember if the hardware or software has been added.
I put the BSOD to stop so I could write the codes - I googled them came but with nothing.
Here is what says the BSOD:
STOP: 0x0000 008F (0 x 0005 C000, 0 x C4E3, 0 x AC2E DC0C, 0 x 0000 0000 8261)My system runs Vista Home Premium (32 bit) on a bridge 5442 with 4 GB of Ram and an Intel Core 2 CPU 4400 running 2.00 Ghz
Any help or advice is most appreciated.

Two main causes of this blue screen video drivers and BIOS - check with system manufacturer site for
View of the adapter (video) and BIOS, then on site of the manufacturer of the device for the last video. There may be other drivers

Cause
Bug KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED control is a very common bug control. To interpret it, you must identify which exception has been generated.
Common exception codes are:
- 0xc0000005: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION indicates that a memory access violation has occurred.
Solve the problem
If you do not have to debug this problem, you must use certain basic troubleshooting techniques:
- Make sure you have enough disk space.
- If a driver is identified in the bug check message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates.
- Try changing video cards.
- Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS.
- Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading.
If you plan to debug this problem, you may find it difficult to get a stack trace. Parameter 2 (the address of the exception) should identify the driver or function that caused the problem.
If you do not know the specific cause of the exception, consider the following:
- Hardware incompatibility. Ensure that all new equipment installed is listed in the list of the products tested Microsoft Windows market.
- Service driver or defective peripheral system. A chauffeur service or defective peripheral system could be responsible for this error. The hardware problems, such as BIOS incompatibilities, conflicts of memory and IRQ conflicts can also generate this error.
If the verification of the message bug list a driver by name, disable or remove that driver. In addition, disable or remove drivers or services that have been recently added. If the error occurs during the startup sequence and the system partition is formatted with the NTFS file system, you may be able to use Safe Mode to rename or to delete the faulty driver. If the driver is used as part of the start-up procedure of the system Safe Mode, you must start the computer by using the Recovery Console to access the file.
If the problem is associated with Win32k.sys, the source of the error may be a third-party remote control program. If this software is installed, you can remove the system startup service using the recovery and then Console by removing the offending system service file.
Check the system log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help identify the device or driver responsible for control of bug 0x1E. You can disable the cache in memory of the BIOS to try to resolve the error. You must also run the diagnostics of material, especially the scanner memory, which provides the manufacturer of the system. For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.
The error that generates this message may occur after the first reboot during Windows Setup, or after installation is complete. A possible cause of the error is lack of disk space for installation and the system BIOS incompatibilities. For any problems during the installation of Windows that are associated with lack of disk space, reduce the number of files on the hard disk drive target. Search and delete temporary files that you do not have to have, files hidden Internet, application backup files and files saved .chk , which contain fragments of files on disk scans. You can also use an another hard disk drive with more free space for the installation.
You can solve the problems of BIOS by upgrading the version of the system BIOS

Thanks for any help on this.
Hello
1 did you change on your computer before this problem?
2. when exactly you receive error message?
You can follow the methods and see if it helps.
Method 1
Use the PING command to verify that TCP/IP is working properly. To do this, ping the loopback address (127.0.0.1) by typing the following command at a command prompt:
(a) click Start .
(b) in the search box type command prompt.
(c) right-click and select run as administrator of .
(d) type ping 127.0.0.1 and ENTRY.
If you receive the response of 127.0.0.1, it means that TCP/IP is configured correctly.Method 2
Check to see if the problem exists in safe mode with network.Start your computer in safe mode
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-modeMethod 3:
Alternatively, you can try to reset TCP/IP and then check if it helps:

Vista Home Premium lsasse.exe/o HIGH - non-stop
This isn't a problem of malware/sasser.The question I have is cited in hundreds of threads back on the history of Vista, and nowhere can I find an answer. I don't work for small business tech and try to avoid VISTA, but sometimes I can't - what is a.
The specific platform is an IBM Thinkpad T61 with the original OEM Windows Vista Home Premium x 86.I removed the bloatware and system carefully cleaned up everything, need updated drivers and VISTA is up-to-date.One question remains, which is a rampant lsasse.exe that accumulate i/o reads and writes to the rhythm of 3 ticks/s before shutdown or restart (or sleep). It is not uncommon to see a 50 000 or more, I / S for lsass.exe in work a short day of.I posted this problem in some of the best forums on the web, with no good response - in fact, it seems the more 'expert' mods and members are, the faster they run away from the issue. What is the 'dark secret' or something that the mere mention marks one as radioactive?Should I perhaps remove/replace the program/windows/system32/lsass by a later version of Windows 7? I noticed on my thinkpad running windows 7 Home premium the accumulated I / O for lsass.exe in everyday use is trivial - less than 10%, the number of Vista system will run even when it is idle. Please notify.Hello

Hello
I have an Acer with Vista SP2. It has no boot and auto repair after that I stupidly shut the computer manually during a Windows Update.
I fell asleep and woke up two hours after the start of the update of Windows. Then without thinking, I did a manual stop without recognizing the update restart message. Now Windows does not start, and the auto repair / recovery options have failed three times. Initially he gave me a (?) CMOS settings have changed the error so I went into Setup (with the delete key) and note the date / time has been reset to the date of manufacture of the computer, do not change that. I have however system virus detection function then it off after that repair failed the first time.
I bought a second hand computer and I have no original discs and I can't find a manually created recovery disc I thought I made some time ago. The label of Windows with Windows Vista Home Premium product key is on the computer. I have access to a Windows 7 CD since another cmputer if this can help me.
I sent thisquestion from another computer.
Your help would be much appreciated.

PS/2 mouse stops working on Vista home Premium.
OK, so I bought a computer, an HP with Vista Home Premium, and (despite all the horror stories, I got friends who use Vista) it worked like a charm. Things were a lot until one evening when my mouse (a three buttons not optical with scroll) has stopped working. It was as if he was not yet connected. I rebooted the computer and the mouse worked fine for a minute or two, then it dies again. I tried to check my computer to find errors and he found, and I have never recived any other error that the fact that I have automatic updates turned off, because I'm on the internet by satellite and I am limited to a certain amount of bandwidth. But back to my problem: I tried a USB mouse and it worked, but it made me even more problems. You see, I have set up wireless network, and I use a wireless USB adapter. However, when I started using the USB mouse, it has messed up my network connection. The computer wouldn't connect to the network, even if I wasgiving it the password correct and everything. I tried another card, and same problem, it always says that the password is wrong, and it would not attempt to open a session on the network, comes immediately coming with the error message. Well, after some time of dinking autour with her, I did finally find the mouse by lightning to work. However, now it is down again. I'm sick and tired of having to borrow the mouse USB of my friend, WTF I do? And please don't tell me to buy something, because I'm here to solve a problem, for not giving Microsoft (or someone else) more of my hard earned money.
Hi Roadkill1992,
Thank you for your message.
You may want to refrain from downloading pirated software.
Any number of bad things can happen to this activity.
If it does not work on other computers, but not yours, I think you're right about the driver.
You can also try a different PS/2 mouse into this port on your computer to see if it is a failure.

I like to use the touchscreen and stylus on the TX2 tablet, but I noticed that it is often not sensitive. For example, if I use the software keyboard at the entrance of stylus, then I noticed that I sometimes have to hit a key to 4 or 5 times before
