Stop the cRIO or sbRIO via command software
Hello
After a little digging around I still not found a software command to stop a cRIO or sbRIO. There is a restart vi, but not a stop. I wonder if I missed something that someone may know. For a RT Linux RIO it may be possible using a Linux command, I wonder? And for a VxWork, an idea? THX
L.
In general, it does not resemble the power management is not very well supported. Looks like there is a command to do it on Linux RT systems:

I have done some research and there is a little more information in the following forum post, and it seems that there are some utilities for Windows that are not available for RT.

How can I stop the audio bridge of VIA HD pop up on startup?
Whenever I start my computer a pop-up from the bridge of VIA HD audio comes from the right of the taskbar. How do I get it to stop?
Also, I have not had a good answer to how I can get an icon in my taskbar to show that I am connected to internet or not.
Stop the Audio Bridge to start with Windows. Look first in the program itself for options. Try right-clicking on the icon or find the program in your Start Menu. If you can not understand or there is no option in the program, remove your boot array:
Start Orb > Search box > type: msconfig and when it appears in the results area above, right-click and choose 'run as administrator '.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue. Then see what is on the Startup tab. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Usually in Vista it will be blocked by Windows Defender and you will need to enable it so you can then check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".
Important - do not use the System Configuration utility to stop the process.
The free Autoruns program is very useful for managing your Startup - http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/default.mspx
With regard to the notification of modem connection:
Right click on the start ORB, then click Properties. In the options box, click on the Notification area and put a check mark in the box for network system icon. Apply/OK outside. If the box is already there, uncheck the box/recheck it. Other than that, I don't know. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

Configuration of the firewall on VCS via command xconfig rules
Hello
We have all the days of the "bad guys", how want to use our VCSE for calls to PSTN numbers.
It is possible to configure the firewallrules via Xconfiguration or only on the web page?
Thank you
Stephan
Actually, I just re-read your post and it seems that the firewall rules are not what you are after, but rather call policy (CPL) Scripts. Firewall rules, could be used to stop or allow to use specific IP addresses to connect to a service that runs on your VCS - such as SSH or HTTPS, not really for the filtering of the calls.

Take possession of the key to register via command line
Is there a way to take ownership of a registry key without having access to the registry? Editing the registry is disabled, I could activate normally using command line, but I don't have permission to change the key. I was wondering if so there is a way to take possession of the key by command line, so I can set the button to activate the registry change.
Give this extract a whirl:
... If the registry editor has also been disabled, you will not be able to run registry changes to fix the rest of the problems, then you must first activate the command registry editor run. Even if the registry editor is not broken, these commands are safe to run.
Click Start, run and enter in the box (copy/paste would be safer) the following text:
Tracking Add HKCU/v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0
Click OK and answer Yes, if you are prompted with a message of crash.
Click Start, run and enter in the box (copy/paste would be safer) the following text:
Tracking Add HKLM/v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0
Click OK and answer Yes, if you are prompted with a message of crash.
Now try your registry editor.
If you inflict not on purpose to this situation on your system, no doubt there are other things on your system that are also affected... we can fix them then.

All,
I have a cRIO-9068 I try to use the scan mode for. I have intalled all the latest drivers and software as explained. However, when I put my chassis to scan mode, then select deployment all, I get this error on my chassis and all my modules:
"The current module settings require a NI Scan Engine support on the controller. You can use Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) to install a software package recommended NOR-Rio with NI Scan Engine support on the controller. If you installed LabVIEW FPGA, you can use this module with LabVIEW FPGA by adding an element of FPGA target under the chassis and drag and drop the module on the FPGA target element. »
Everyone knows this or know why labVIEW does not recognize that the software is installed on my cRIO or is it not installed correctly?
AGJ,
Thanks for the image. I saw a green arrown beside all my pictures of chip and it seemed that meant that the software wasn't really being installed. I formatted my cRIO and did a custom install. My problem was that I had the two labview 2013 and 2014 installed and the cRIO put conflicting versions of software. After doing a custom installation and choose only the versions of 2014, my picture now looks like yours!

FTP .txt file copied correctly the cRio
I use the 'FTP Get File.vi"to retrieve a .txt file of my CRio, which is then copied on my host. The file is a delimited data tab. The file copied all the data a except that the copy has a blank line between each set of data. These additional lines take me to read the incorrect lines when the file is read in my program later with the "reading a spreadsheet file. These additional lines come I checked the original on the cRio file transfer via MAX and these lines do not exist. Can someone tell me how to solve this problem? Thank you
If you look at the entries for the File.vi FTP Get, you will notice that there is one that says binary:
By default, this is false, which means that it copies the data in an ASCII format. Try a real constant of wiring to this entry. It's the need for VxWorks and Windows use different end of windowing. This difference is probably the reason that it is adding lines to it.

Rebuild the indexes to search for Windows 7 via command line
My search index is constantly becomes corrupted and will have problems, looking for things in Outlook. The only way I can make it work temporarily is rebuilt the index and it goes for a week or two before she starts to have problems again.
Is it possible that I can have research rebuilt via command line so that I can put in a batch file and schedule it to run?

When you use my cRIO 9024 on the ground, I prefer to be able to start and stop the acquisition with pressing a physical button on cRIO.
I want to say I don't want it to be "as a start-up," I don't want cRIO to start the acquisition as soon as the power supply is ensured.
Is this possible?
Hi Cashany,
you will surely find this switch status. But there are easier ways (but more expensive) for a button. Fiddling with a pen or a small screwdriver to switch USER1 is not what I call "user friendly"...
-You have at least 2 voltage inputs on your module available. Use a switch voltage on the power inputs. Use a 'real' button!
-You have an available serial port. You can set some pins on GND or voltage and check their status inside the cRIO/RT target...

The CRIO-9022 software installation
Anyone can help with installing Software NI 9022 by MAX
I connect OR cRIO-9022 with an Ethernet.
I was faced with a time-out error and saying that whether online or not, to the extent of the im concern its connected in safe mode as he always has no software in it.
Please see the attached file.
It is probably a detail of networking.
It seems that you have a link-local address on your cRIO (169.x.x.x) which means that you should always have your computer configuration using DHCP. If you have a static IP address on your computer, try to return to "obtain an IP address automatically".
If this does not work, I will try to set a static IP address on your PC to install the software and the cRIO. Once you get the cRIO software installed, you can switch everything back to DHCP.

Stop the software opens automatically
I installed the Kodak Easyshare on Windows Vista software. It opens automatically whenever I log onto Windows Vista. I want it to stop, but may not know how to stop it. Questions, I asked the "help" on Windows Vista, Kodak EasyShare, and Windows does not apply to it. I want to stop it opening when I sign in Vista and I want that it ceases to be the default photo software. It does not work with some of my other equipment and I had been usingWindows Media Player until I installed the Kodak. Now I can't stop coming on automatically. I want to keep it on my computer for use with my EasyShare camera, I just it opens ONLY when I told it to do. How can I disable the automatic opening of the Kodak EasyShare software function? Thank you.
Hello
Check in EasyShare settings for an option to run at Windows startup and uncheck the box.
