  Hey. I live in Sweden and I can't access Support HP to say my problem. I have a Compaq Presario CQ50 112eo. When I try to download the bios so I can choose the country when I press the download button. Maybe you can report HP in Sweden as they do so that I can download the file.   Thanks Gerry, I went through a couple more cycles of running the tool for troubleshooting Windows Update and reboot.  Ithen left to 'check updates' during the night and in the morning he had downloaded and installed the missing updates.  I don't know if there was a more general problem with Microsoft's servers yesterday or if it's just that I was too impatient for something to happen, but I'm now safely on Windows 10.  Thanks for your interest.  Best regards, Michael.

  In my experience the special drive is required, which is available only for ASP technician

  In my opinion you shouldn't t try recovery disks of the crisis who loves you in the net, it can drive to the mobo damage

  I see that the bios isn't appearing any more for download for this machine at least.

  I guess that means I have to use the HP software (whatever his name) look for driver updates etc and this would include updates to the bios...

  The problem is my pc is not connected to the internet (and cannot be), so I need to download the actual file.

  Is this possible?

  If not, can someone confirm for me that the HP software would update of the bios as well, and that is the most recent version, that I do not have information on any page... (I could start from a windows pe cd of bart)

  I'm glad your problem is solved. Surely will guide you on how to find the latest drivers for the unit.

  1. go to www.hp.com

  2. click Help and choose Download drivers.

  3. choose laptops.

  4 type Hp Stream 11 Pro and choose Energy Star

  5. it will take you to a page where in you can select the operationg System.

  6. you will be able to install the drivers for the device.

  All BIOS for all Toshiba units, you can download from the Toshiba site:
  http://www.toshiba-tro.de/subpage/BIOS.html

  But you can not downgrade the BIOS for example: since version 1.2 to 1.1
  This is only possible by Toshiba ASP.
  In this case, if you want to downgrade the BIOS you should contact the service partner.

  Please do a hard reset first. Then connect the battery and charger. Please make sure that the computer is always turned down. Remove the USB key. Press in and hold the Windows key and the letter "B" together with the power button for 5 seconds. He should start the bios to restore automatically. Follow the on-screen instructions.   You don't mention what generation of carbon you have, but you can try pressing the button restore emergency in the small hole on the bottom of the machine. Please see the links below for specific model info.

  When I try to boot from a USB stick and use the BACK Flash utility, the following text appears on the screen:

  I tried to download sp71579.exe using two different computers on different Internet connections using different web browsers, but the same problems occur. I also tried to disable the antivirus, but that did not help either.

  With very old BIOS versions like what you have, you will need to step up the BIOS versions in order.  You don't need to intensify in each version, just a couple of big no.

  Keep us updated... I think you will like the new BIOS versions, and I post it is better to update the BIOS to go into BIOS, rather than inside Windows.
