• Best practices installation CARS in two areas of data center?

  Data Center has two distinct areas.
  In each area, we have a storage system and a rac node.
  
  We will install RAC 11 GR 2 ASM.
  
  For data, we want to use diskgroup + DATA, normal redundancy mirrored on two storage systems.
  
  CRS + vote, we want to use diskgroup + CRS, normal redundancy.
  But for diskgroup CRS + vote with normal redundancy, there are 3 LUNS and we have only 2 storage systems.

  Hello

  With regard to the vote of the files are concerned, that a node must be able to access more than half of the files with the right to vote at any time (simple majority). In order to be able to tolerate failure of n files in vote, need at least 2n + 1 configured. (n = number of files with voting rights) for the cluster.
  The problem in a stretch cluster configuration, is that most of the facilities use only two storage systems (one on each site), which means that the site that hosts the majority of voting records is a potential single point of failure for the entire cluster. If the storage or the site where the files of n + 1 vote is configured fails, the entire cluster will go down, because Oracle Clusterware will lose the majority of the files.
  To avoid a complete cluster failure, Oracle will support a third vote file on a cheap lowend, standard NFS mounted device somewhere in the network. Oracle recommends the file NFS vote on a dedicated server, which belongs to a production environment.

  Hi people,

  As say the topic, I'm looking for advice on disaster recovery. What I find in the docs pointing me to the high availability configuration, or maybe I'm simply not find the docs I'm looking for. And it always points to the RAC, etc. of shared storage. My database is already configured to Dataguard and I want to do things this way, with a recovery site which isn't always upwards and a part of a cluster (although it's very well as long as the CAR is not involved), I'm looking for some feedback on how people do things. I have 11.1 now, but will be upgrading to 12.2 soon.  Just a straight stitch to the documentation would be useful if I'm missing just that.

  Since you have already configured Dataguard and in a DR situation, you will be switching/switch on your course in standby mode and it will active db. All this is fine. You can do the same with instances of weblogic OBIEE. You can clone your binaries installed using tools provided by Oracle cloning, or build binaries from weblogic with the accurate determination of drive on your Dr. use the pack of weblogic server and then unzip tool to archive your entire weblogic domain and it Unarchive in your prepared DR server.

  Now, you have to just challenge the hostname (s) of your domain to point to your database JDBC data sources and weblogic.

  To facilitate the task, you can change the host name used by weblogic to host alias that can be remapped in DNS during DR. Similarly, you can change the JDBC connection string so that it can automatically select the active database as long as you use a database instead of a SID service name in the connection string.

  You will need to regularly make a pack on your weblogic domain in order to maintain an up-to-date backup of your domain proximity. Similarly, if you have reports that are stored on the file system, they must also be backed up regularly so that they can be restored.

  I am doing research on architectures high availability to meet high service LEVEL requirements (> = uptime of 99.7 percent and "without loss of important data") for a client.

  I have few resources for the implementation of this architecture: two physical database servers running 11g Standard Edition (so Data Guard is not an option), Enterprise Edition is not an option because of the price. Data storage will be on a San.

  The ideal solution would be an architecture whose node redundancy (Clusterware / RAC) and redundancy of the data (as in physical Standby: application of redo logs instead of data mirroring (corrupt physical) files).

  I did research Clusterware and CARS, but they use a shared storage. I'll use a SAN for storage, but this will not prevent physical mirroring of the corrupt data files.

  Is it possible to set up a PAP/Clusterware architecture with each separate storage node, where the two databases are synchronized by applying the redo logs?

  Is it possible to instantly apply redo logs to minimize the loss of data in case of automatic failover?

  If we need more information, I'll give you a pleasure it.

  A RAC cluster still need a shared storage for database files: each cluster node cannot have its own separate storage.

  You need at least a physical database server 3rd for the standby database that can function without Data Guard as long as you use you own scripts to send and apply archived redo logs or use a product like dbvisit.

  I don't think it's possible to apply again immediately without Data Guard.

  We have recently installed Oracle 11 GR 2 CARS on a cluster of REH 5.3. CRS, voting disk and database files are all sitting on a group of ASM disks (on a Clarion storage device). A decision is made to move everything to a new storage device (DMX). We use EMC powerpath.
  Y at - it an easy way to move this cluster of Oracle to another storage device.
  We can rsync, the grid and binaries of RDBMS that are installed on a file on each node linux system, but I would like to know how to move the shared storage that is hosted on the ASM.
  We used asmlib 2.0 to create the disc of the DSO and then invoked the clusterware Installer and DBCA to create the Group of disks, the cluster components and the oracle database.
  Do I need to back up the database of ASM and our CARS (with RMAN) database in a flat filesystem first and restore once the new ASM disk is created in the new storage device?
  A procedure step by step will be greatly appreciated.

  If I have 10 knots and they use the same disk storage to contain the data, then
  they're going to do i/o on the disk at the same time.

  All 10 nodes connected with storage shared by FIBRE cable which give faster latency also all nodes interconnection must be a GIGABIT switch. This option two is going to solve the problem of slow disk i/o.

  I was able to connect ok in a shared folder on my laptop VISTA from my XP desktop computer.
  but when I try the other way around (to connect to a shared drive on my desktop XP FROM my VISTA laptop), I get the following error message:

  "The mapped network drive could not be created because the following error occurred: not enough server storage is available to process this command."

  Desktop is HP Pavilion a1410n
  Windows XP SP3 Home Professional 3 GB RAM
  Laptop is HP dv5z
  Windows Vista Edition Home Premium SP2 4 GB RAM

  I have a new Skoda Yeti with an ipod integrated in decision-making. When I connect my ipod nano he rereads the speech at a very fast pace which is uinintelligible. The music is played at a normal speed.

  For modern car audio systems, car audio system does the work of reading, not the iPod.  The iPod is only as a data storage device (like plug a USB with audio files).  In other words, the iPod is not playing the audio file.  You should consult the documentation of the user for car audio system, to see if there is a setting that controls the playback speed.

  On the iPod (and in your iTunes library), this "spoken word" audio is stored as a song (in your library of music ), or it does not appear as another media type, such as audiobook or podcast?

  I understand that you want to delete your main user of your computer account to free up space.  When you have created your second user account, have you configured it in an administrator account?  If you don't a not designate as an administrator account, it is possible that your original user account has not been deleted. We will use this step

  1. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click users and groups.

  2. Click on the lock icon to unlock, then enter an administrator name and password.

  3. Select a managed user or a standard user in the users list, and then select "allow user to administer this computer."

  What happens to me all the time. My computer tells me that the disc is in such or such capability with any remaining space. Normally it's a flash drive and I just delete it in the disc utilities and the problem is solved. But now my HDD does this to me. It is said that there are 171 GB of files only from videos. I know for a fact that there are only about 20 GB of videos.

  Not to mention all the files on my computer, I could not impossible to know if my computer is telling me that the figures right for its storage. But I have a strong feeling that there is no where close to this amount of space used. (And I made sure that the trash is empty). Does anyone know what I need to do?

  Start with the reconstruction of the Spotlight database. System-> light-> privacy preferences, slide the drive in the list, then delete the list again. This will force Spotlight to reindex.

  This is my first time writing here, so please be nice!

  My problem is this, my iPod touch (version 9.3.2) needs to be backed up. My plan of storage was the 5 GB (free) and I got a lot of data - but removed some applications and data in "managing storage. So currently I now have in stock 31.1 GB and used 25.1 Go. However on my storage ICLOUD he says I 77.3 MG available, however for my storage total he says 5.0 GB.

  Now the question I'm asking here is - I kept the applications and data that I want (such as stuff for my photography and stories etc.), but he is always moaning to the upgrade and other things.  I'd like to be able to copy all the data from my ICLOUD and put it on a device of storage such as a disc or USB - something like that so it is all saved and then delete things so he can be released. The problem is that when I went to look at how to copy stuff-it says that you must update the storage plan. Why would be upgraded to THEN downgrade if that makes sense? If I had to, I would choose the 79pp option - but I only pay for my iPod using gift cards, because I don't want my card details in this regard.
