Storm App is running in compatibility mode

I'm new new Blackberry.  I feel very uncomfortable with RIM JDE 4.5, so I moved the RIM JDE 4.7.

For my first program, I just copied the SVG Pick demo code in my program.  When I build and run, it runs in compatibility mode.

I've searched the knowledge base that says:

  1. If the application is compiled with BlackBerry® development environment (BlackBerry JDE) 4.7 Java or later version, it will not automatically run in compatibility mode. If the application is compiled with an earlier version of BlackBerry JDE, it will run in compatibility mode.

I even checked the jar of my workspace, and it looks like 4.7.  I am at a loss.

Thank you in advance for your help!

I saw that too. In my case it was caused by the first running version 4.5 on the device. The storm decides this app is app "compatibility mode" and will not erase the attribute once it is recompiled under 4.7.

Go to Options / Advanced / Applications and disable the compatibility mode for your application.

  • Firefox only runs in compatibility mode

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit,

I've been running Firefox with no problems, however, today when using crashing all of a sudden and I was unable to start.

It will display a menu with choice to run in safe mode and a few other options, but I wouldn't be able to start in safe mode, because, while displaying the options, the message "windows is trying to solve the problem" appears freezing firefox and the only way out is to leave the program.

However, if I decide to start firefox in compatibility mode with XP sp3, I can use it without any visible problem.

The only changes that I did is updated Java yesterday, but there were no questions just after the update.

    How would I fix this?

Need the latest Java to run some applications (especially chess) that requires the latest version of / i /.

I have nothing in the crash from today newspaper

  • Programs running in Compatibility Mode (Windows 98) does not work (or more)

For years, I have been (re-) installation file SETUP.exe (Epson status monitor of 1998) in Compatible Mode on a regular basis.  I right click on the file SETUP.exe, then I push properties-> compatibility-> Mode Compatible and complete under Windows 98/Windows Me.  Sometimes I run the file SETUP.exe in Windows 2000 mode also, never a problem.

However, recently, I used DLLArchive and now the sweet Epson no longer works.  Resettlement does not either, as it must be installed in Compatible Mode and that no longer works.  In addition, run the file SETUP.exe in any Mode Compatible (Win95, 98, Me, NT, 2000) no longer works, even in non-compliant.

I still get the same error:

"To install EPSON Status Monitor 2, you have Windows95, NT3.1 or NT 4.0"

While SETUP.exe is clearly compatible Win95/98.

Earlier today, I couldn't use the Compatibility Assistant programs, whenever I had a "marscore.dll is missing" error when opening start-> Help and Support.  This problem is now solved: help and Support, and then the program compatibility Wizard work fine (I think).

Any suggestions how to solve the compatibility problem?

How can I check what DLL files are needed?

    Thanks in advance, Johan

  • Storm the conversion compatibility mode a moped with CAP

    Hello

to make my games work on BlackBerry devices, I use CAP to convert JAR files. On touchscreen devices, I use the Canvas.pointer* events * and everything works as expected on all devices, including the storm.

So far, my game seems to work with compatibility mode off (i.e. without the virtual keyboard) when installed using the Desktop Manager. This is exactly how I want it to be, but I was just wondering if it is the case by default because that research of this forum, I always read that, by default, an application is running in compatibility mode if compiled with any older IDE (pre 4.7).

Anyone can confirm the behavior in order to release my game with support for the storm devices without using IDE 4.7 and create an additional project just for the BB Storm. Usually I don't use any IDEs as, over the years, I have developed a large number of tools and scripts to make a huge amount of work required in support of many different devices of J2ME and it would be great if I could continue to do without in the future.

    Thank you very much
    Michael

It seems that midlets will run without the dreaded compatibility mode.

  • Post-it notes 'compatibility mode' delivers on Storm

We have a recurring problem with OS 4.7 and the storm. It goes like this: a customer has a curve (or other older device) and the modernization of a storm. When they migrate to the new device, he puts on our OS version 4.2 of the application to the storm.

Of course, the storm recognizes that our version 4.2 is not able to touch and places it in the penalty box "compatibility." Then there are numbers that we have a version of the storm on the web site, so that it will download this version.

Unfortunately, OS 4.7 has already placed the app in the penalty area, so the app still works in compatibility mode (blue border, permanent keyboard). Finally, he comes in contact with our support office and receives instructions to completely remove the app, reboot and re - download version 4.7.

So here's the problem: it sometimes works, and sometimes it isn't. We are accumulating a growing (and very angry) Group of customers who are still stuck in "compatibility" mode

    Someone has found a sure-fire method to disable this & * % ^ @*) (#& @ compatibility mode?)

Thank you, we will try to disable manual.

I also received a note from RIM to set the JAD file with the following property:

    RIMTouchCompatibilityMode = false

    Anyone tried this?

  • Is there a compatibility mode for existing Windows programs running on Windows RT?

Is there a compatibility mode to run my existing on RT windows programs

    There are two variants:

Windows 8 - this runs on processors traditional x 86 - x 64 for Intel and AMD, and the same apps that runs on Windows 7, Vista, and Windows XP.

Windows RT - built on the same basis as Windows 8, it works on a different processor called ARM and not running programs in Windows 7, Vista, or Windows XP. Also, comes with Microsoft Office 2013 while Windows 8 does not work. It only comes on the new devices, in contrast to Windows 8 you can buy a license for an existing computer.

A possible work around, you can connect to your remote programs on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows 8:

How to use the remote desktop in Windows 8 (applies to Windows RT).
