  I recently bought a STR-DH520 and I'm trying to get audio through HDMI to my P8H77 - I motherboard on my computer, but so far without success.

  If I connect the computer directly to my TV or the sound projector is read from this device. If I connect it to the amp I get no sound from the speakers any audio playback device I select on the computer. However, if I select the projector as a device for reading on the computer I hear the projector (for HDMI passthrough works)

  I have selected the right speaker configuration and have performed a calibration, so I can check that the speakers are working.

  An update, I tried with another computer, still no luck.

• My STR-DN1040 will not power "on".

  Yesterday, I bought a brand new Sony STR-DN1040 at Best Buy.  I came home and hung it through Monster THX HDMI for my Sony KDL-52XBR9 HDTV cables, my reader blu - ray Sony BDP-BX57, 52 '' my box of cable Motorola DCX3510-M and my Polk Audio 7.1 surround subwoofer and satellite speaker system.  I have connected the STR-DN1040 via ethernet to a cable modem, which is located in the same rack as the home theater unit. Everything was (is) connected properly.

  I plugged the STR-DN1040 in my Monster surge protector/power strip behind the shelf of home theater. where all other components are connected.  I heard the slight, familiar "click" can be received and activated inside the STR-DN1040.

  I turned on my TV box and cable.  I went to the front of the STR-DN1040 "in office", but the small LED above the power button was already green, as if he (power) on its own.  So, I waited.  And waited and waited... something appears on the STR-DN1040 screen, but nothing ever presented.  I thought that perhaps he made an update of the firmware straight out of the box, but after an hour, it became apparent that something was wrong.  Then...

  I unplugged the STR-DN1040 and let stand for 30 minutes.  I plugged it in and it did the same thing as described above.  The Green LED power 'works' light comes on in a few seconds the power cable is plugged in, unless you press the power button on the front of the unit.  And then... He's just sitting there.  The device does not react to any pressure on the buttons or dials on the front.  The device does not respond to a key pressed on the remote control.  I checked all HDMI connections and even changed the HDMI cables, but I get nothing. Unit seems dead - D.O.A. The green light is 'on' on the front, but that's all.

  Anyone have any ideas what might this happen? Everyone heard about this problem or has experienced this themselves?  Have I not a dud?  Should I just return it and get another?

  I went through this process.  It seemed to work.  Leave the House and came after a few hours and I'm back to the same problem.  Tried to "clear" it, but that never happens.  I held the button for 5 then 10, then 15. No COMPENSATION.  I'm ready to ship in return!

  UPDATE!

  According to the guidelines of my previous post, you know now that you can not connect your PC directly to your receiver, the reason is that your receiver can not video output from a PC directly. However, this video shows you two ways in which you can still get the same end result.

  Method 2 in this video will give better result although it won't in stereo (no dressing) that said, your receiver may still make it sound much better than your speakers in PC.

  This video shows how to connect using a VGA, but you can use HDMI instead, you can always send the audio to your receiver, as shown in the video.

  Connect the RCA Audio cable to some entries available you have. You do not have a PC input as shown in the video, but that's OK, just use something else.

  I recently bought a STR-DN1030 and I have a question now to get the Wii audio. I use a RCA cable with video connector 3 (red/green/blue) and 2 audio connectors (red/white). What I want is for the audio and video get the amp with RCA and out to the TV via the HDMI TV OUT cable.

  So I plugged the video connector 3 RCA to "Component video - SAT/CATV (2)" and tried to connect the 2 RCA audio connector to "Audio in" (sat/catv) but I have no sound, even if I get the picture.

  On the allocation of entry for the video source (I choose video 1) I put the video on computer.  and audio analogue.

  Can you tell me how can I connect the Wii RCA component cable so I can get the video on TV via HDMI and the sound of the amp?

  Try to use the sockets labelled AUDIO IN TV to the AV STR-DN1030 receiver. If the same problem persists. Please provide the following information:

  1. What is the brand name of your television? If it's a Sony, which is the full model number? If it is other than Sony, is able in your TV Audio Return Channel (ARC)? (pages 26 and 27 of the Manual)
  2. If your TV isn't capable ARC , so you can connect an optical cable from the receiver to the TV.
  3. If your're TV's able ARC , does not sound problem occurs on all video games Wii that you tried? Do you get sound when the Wii is connected directly to the TV using the same red and white strings?
  4. Do you get sound when playing another source like bluray player, decoder, etc. ?
  5. Are all stakeholders affected or just some of them?

  Hi, I got this amp audio / video a few months ago and were not as happy as I thought I would be with her. Watching HD TV to my cable provider (Shaw) affect the audio quality. When the problem occurs the volume gets very quiet and usually going only one speaker (front left). Any suggestions? This happens every day, but I can't reproduce on demand and takes about a minute + /. There are a lot of ventilation around the unit. I don't watch enough DVDS to see if the problem occurs on another entry.

  While watching HD channels of the cable box with my TV 16:9, 16:9 image appears correctly and fills the screen as expected. 4:3 HD channels have black bars on the side, and 16:9 HD channels fill the screen correctly. However, when watching standard def, the image is still stretched to fill the screen. Whats up with that?

  Ensure that networks in the router (5 GHz and 2.4 GHz) have unique names on the other. This way you will know what network the HTPC is connected to. After making sure that the two networks have unique names, change the channel to the network of 2,4 GHz. try 1, 3, 6 or 9.

If you want to listen to a failure (QDomDocument::setContent() returning false), you will need to change the line to this:

  You're right; These queries are the same.  If one were to better use than the other, then they would be no different, not the same thing.  Since they are the same or one is better than the other.

  If you (or other people who might have to maintain and debug the code) find an easier way to read and understand, then use that one.

  If I think that people who are not very familiar with CONNECT BY reading my code, so I prefer to use BEFORE after comparison operator, like this

  CONNECT BY PRIOR empno = mgr

  Lest anyone think 'Se CONNECT BY BEFORE' is a unit.

  With some operators, such as IS NULL or SIMILAR, you don't have the choice. the sense requires that BEFORE either before or after the comparison operator.

  When there are several conditions in the CONNECT BY clause, I think it is easier to read and to understand if all the Priors are on the same side.  For example. in this common construction:

  CONNECT BY LEVEL<= regexp_count="" (str,="">

  AND pk PRIOR = pk
