strain point

Hello

Can you tell me why the point of constraint is present in the top level VI (Vi1)?

Also, is it possible to get rid of this point of coercion?

Thank you

hiNi.

Yes. Right click on the static reference in the main VI and "create control". Drag the new control to the front of the Subvi and use as replacement for the existing reference entry (don't forget to plug in the connector pane).

No point constraint more!

  • Data output DASYLab stop after 10 points

Let me Preface everything by saying: I'm a novice at this. Now that's the road...

I'm having a problem getting more than 10 data points to save in an output file. I'm sure it's a conflict of implementation, but I have no chance to understand.

I have two tasks in Measurement & Automation Explorer: the first strain 4 check gage, signals of temperature 2 second record. Strain gage signals are coming in a NI 9237 module and the thermocouples are coming in a NI 9211; the two sat in a NOR cDAQ-9188.

DASYLab (v13), I have the configuration shown in the attached image:

When I click on Play, everything seems to work fine (i.e., no error message), but when I stop and open the CSA generated there are only 10 data points, a point every 0.1 second for 1 second.

Can someone point me in the direction of the parameters that control the collection of data, either in DASYLab M & AE? Thank you!

Thank you for responding so quickly!

As I was typing a reply, I noticed something in the Timing settings in the tasks of M & AE. The acquisition Mode has been set on ' n of samples. I changed the mode of 'continuous samples', and he is now recording as I expected. I still don't know what has been defining the "N" like 10, because the samples to read has been fixed at 10 k, but since it now seems to work I'll leave that for another day. Thanks again

  • strain of understanding using NI9236

    Hello

I use a cRIO 9073 with a NI 9236 to measure the strain gauges. I use a modified version of the NI9236 project to start in the folder examples of Labview, make my collection of data. I then use another vi to my shift, average and converting micro strain.

When I apply a voltage to the aluminium bar, on what the gauge is mounted get a negative strain and when I compress I get a positive value. My understanding is that it should be the other way around. Another thing is that, even when I use the value regardless of the sign that i seem to get the results of garbage.

When I add a weight of 311,05 g to a 19mmx3mm bar of Al, I should get a strain of 0.79 stump microphone, no - 19. I see the - 19 on the façade of the .vi OR 9236 Getting Started (host), while it is running, and is not part of the vi that I have edited, rather some thing OR written. I'm sure this isn't a programming mistake, I do not understand the difference. My math may be off may it?

Any help to clarify this point would be appreciated.

OK... maybe a little slow here, it could be useful that I've been in the correct range for the strain gauges... 311g is too little weight to do all the tests with... sigh.

My main question about the sign convention is still topical but, why is it contrary to the way I always thought that the strain must be?

I'll add a few weight of propper on this thing to see what I get values.

  • Scaling of NI 9236 strain measurement

I'll put up several strain gauges in a quarter bridge configuration. I'm confused about the output of the measurement range. I set up the channels with all the features of the gauge (GF = 2, resist = 350 etc..) The measure returns values ~ 5 x 10 ^-3. I don't know the units of this measure. It's 10 ^-3 microstrains or 10 ^-3 strain. I wouldn't believe 10 ^-3 strain. 10 ^-3 microstrains are too low. I expect microstrains 1-5 in this measure. Because I enter all the scaling in the measurement task, I expect an output correctly to scale, but it is difficult to interpret. Change the GF is going to change the output in response, once again this points to the fact that the output is indeed scaling my input parameters and should represent the strain.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi ludhaber,

If you use a task sequence, the values returned must just be in units of strain. So, you should see values with either a me ' (representing milli-) or a 'u' (representing Mike) - next to the value such as "2 m". A good method of checking scale is to use the task type "Custom with excitement of tension." This type is very similar to a task sequence, except that it does not return a value in terms of voltage (it is indeed volts by the voltage, change the excitement value of a template will change its output voltage, even if the amount of strain cannot be changed). The value returned here must match the equation for a strain gauge quarter-bridge for a value given in the series, shown below. For example, a strain of 5u value, you should see a flow of 0.0025mV / V being returned using the voltage custom with reading excitement. If you read a strain of 5 m in the task of the strain, you should read a value of about 2.4876mV / V to the tension with the task of excitement. Hope this helps,

  • Registers at offset and graph of waveform for function tare - strain readings

    Hello users,.

My goal is to put a strain given to zero when the strain has an initial reading. I guess that it will provide records shift in combination with the structure of the case. I tried to use two waveform graphs - showing the offset of the strain and the other showing the strain calibrated, so it will be clearer to see the stabilized strain before the reset button is set to force the strain in the calibrated chart to start from scratch. Is it possible to do?

    Kind regards

    Helen

Helen, you need not cross-post the question in several boards of Directors. It is a question of LabVIEW and LabVIEW, fortunately, is one of the most active panels.

So, it looks that you want to have a zero cases that calibrates your strain of reading that would be offset by reading than zero cases. Otherwise, you want to be continuous playback using the zero defined previously.

A simple solution for this is to put just a case structure within your loop of producer that is activated with a single button "channel zero". When this button is pressed, it takes the last points of data that have been read and creates a lag, so that the new data are now scaling as it.

    How is this look:

If you plan to increase the size of this application, you should watch State Machine architecture or the messages in queue manager if you have a lot of data processing. This structure unique case for zero setting can only get you so far until it's hand.

  • 1520 strain no reading

    Experimental set-up:

SCXI chassis, the module of 1520, 1314 accessory; 6062E pcmcia.

Half bridge 350 ohm (type II), and even that (checked by manual measurement with multimeter) shunt resistors. Self excitation (2, 5V).

I want to measure the strain but cannot. When I started to acquisition, an initial value is shown, say,-200. The value decreases at a constant rate until it reaches autour-970, remains constant.

    I checked manually:

    P - P voltage +: 2.49V

    Voltage output - P: - 1.24

    Output voltage - P'+: 1.24

Voltage at the terminals of R4: 1.24 V

Voltage at the terminals of the R3: 1.24 V

    P + - Vout resistance: 350 ohms

    Resistance P - Vout: 350 ohm

If I try the offset null calibration, I get error-200380 (see attachment).

So it looks like an open circuit, but I interpret manually tension through R, what happens?

I am amazed on the solution that I found:

After checking with the multimeter is everything as should be, I changed full bridge configuration in order to access with the meter at each point in the bridge and provide measures.

Everything was going fine manually but still not in LV

So, after a while, I changed .vi DAQmx Read of multiple channels of wave rippling single channel, as I was measuring only one channel.

    Now everything works fine.

I am amazed, I supoused that channel Multiple consisted only a single channel.

  • Weird minimum brightness of T430 capping issue in point 8.1 of Windows

    Hello

I have a weird problem. I bought my T430 with Win 7 in. Now that I've upgraded to Windows 8.1, the brightness of the display will get weak after a certain point.

In Win 7, I could turn down the brightness of my screen at a VERY small point. But currently, with 8.1 Win, although I can turn down the brightness of several points, the brightness of the display would be stuck to, say, 20%.

    1. This is the brightness for the 2nd lowest level:

    2. now, here, it is at its lowest level. Look, there is still another level to go:

    3. Although there is still a level to go (as shown in the image above), if I try to take the brightness to the lowest setting absolute, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING would happen.

This problem occurs in Win 7 Pro. My lowest brightness level was much, much lower in Windows 7 as in 8.1 Pro Win. He started straining my eyes!

    Help, please!

    Thanks in advance.

    Finally! Found the solution.

Updated my BIOS and now it works fine.

Thanks the lenovo support team. You guys have been impressive. Keep up the good work.

  • cannot discern the pointer to the Rectangle tool

I can see selection without problem after that I used the tool, but I do not obviously pointer, quickly taking a precise at the same spot on the image - in particular selection on a light colored background who has a habit. Fact on a dark background, it is clear to see.

I would not quite 20/20 vision again, but even if you don't have a 20/20 vision - everyone would have to strain to find the pointer when the Rectangle tool is selected, even with the Lasso, magic wand, tools quick selection etc.. But if I choose the tool move, which shows very clearly the on-screen little matter the context. (I don't have these problems in Illustrator, all of these tools are clear and specific, including menu titles).

(I know about the effect of key caps lock on the brush size)

I know that Windows has options to change the size of the slider, but that makes no difference when I use Adobe programs. If someone can somehow contribute to get this problem addressed, judging by google search results, I'm sure there are many who will appreciate it.

Go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\[Adobe Photoshop CC 2015]-[Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 Settings] in order to reset the non-destructive way.

    Or:

Win: Press and hold the keys Ctrl + Alt + Shift immediately after the launch of Photoshop starting. A box will appear asking if you want to continue with the reset, select 'yes '. If you don't see this, you're not fast enough... Try again.

To the right, (sorry) you also create instances vBox and hBox inside the loop.  I would also declare them inside the loop (rather than outside the loop/service).

    for(var i:int=0; i<10; i++) {     var vBox:VBox = new VBox();     var hBox:HBox = new HBox();

         ...          addChild(vBox);}

    I hope this helps.

  • Power point

Yes, there is a PowerPoint for Mac available from Microsoft.

  • Just updated to Sierra and updated Pages at the same time. Now when I try to select a line of text I find myself with an insertion point where I stopped by selecting

Today, I updated for Sierra and updated to the latest version of the Pages. Now I find that I am more able to select a line of text. When I try to do, I find myself with an insertion point where I stopped by selecting, but nothing is selected. This is a bug in the new version of pages or get my wrong settings?

You use a Wacom tablet by chance?

Solution: Press the shift key, just before stop selection. And Yes, that sounds like trouble in the Sierra.

  • I'm looking for the third order intercept point

How to find the point of interception of third order of my iphone 6? There is a sheet with all the technical specifications in relation to the my phone gsm modem. Thank you

No, Apple does not publish or release this level of technical specifications to the public.  Since the 3rd order intercept is a purely mathematical concept for such low power as a smart phone device, I imagine that these kinds of data are unknown outside of Apple's own engineering group (or Foxconn I guess)?

  • Point to the new terms of AGREEMENT?

I've read and if all goes well digested the new conditions but could not find the usual point of AGREEMENT.   Sent an email too.   Cannot install latest iPad Apps - password for iTunes help refusal

If iTunes does not accept your password, you may need to reset or. However that shouldn't happen without a valid reason. The button agree should be at the bottom of the window appearing in the terms.

Did you try to connect on your ID Apple and then connect again?

  • Software updated 2 days ago. He stuffed the speed up to a point, I had to borrow someone's HP to complete a task. Very disappointed

I updated my software for macbook pro 2 days ago, which has been for his security etc.

After the update my macbook snaps every minute and the speed it exceptionally slow to a point as I sit for 5-10 minutes waiting to open finder or safari to open. This update plush speed of my macbook. He now works at all. Display and all that remains is very good.

I have an important assignment due this Friday, fortunately someone lent me their HP to complete my task.

very sad and disappointed with this, Apple.

    Please provide a solution.

    Thank you

  • iTunes.exe found entry point

After the last update error ITunes.exe entry point not found

avcfplayersetclientenforcedexternalprotectionmethod could not be found in the dynamic link library c:\program files\iTunes\itunescore.dll - I download windows 10 iTunes 64 install and ran repair - repair has not fixed the problem

Entry point errors can usually be fixed by removing the offending dll, and then repair the component it is programs and features Control Panel. iTunesCore.dll is part of the main application to iTunes and it will usually be in iTunes C:\Program or C:\Program Files (x 86) \iTunes.

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

More information area has direct links with the current and recently built in case you have problems to download, need to revert to an earlier version, or try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for older video cards) release as a work around for performance issues, or for compatibility with QuickTime software or a third party on 64 - bit systems.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

Your library must be affected by these measures, but there are links to tips of backup and recovery elsewhere in the tip of the user.

If the problem persists and you have a 64-bit system try for the old version of video cards which is a 64-bit Installer for most of the 32-bit code, similar to all 64 bit iTunes up to 12,1 versions.
