Strange folder Mac Mail with Exchange account

At our office we have recently moved from an internal e-mail to the Office Server Exchange account to Office 365. There is a strange folder appear on all Macs do anything ranging from the El Capitan back to the Lion where a folder called "Files" appear in the list of folder icons in the sidebar. This folder does not appear when connected to Office 365 via a web browser, but it behaves like a single folder, because it can not be removed (a bit like the record of Conversations and new background image file).

In the folder named "Files" appears to be a collection of recipes from any email that had an attachment either sent or received. Not actually content, just a bunch of time and date stamp info, file name and a few times the code. Always displayed as SENDER of NO.

No idea what it is and how make us it go away?

I have also experienced this problem.

Not sure what exactly is the cause, but all attachments sent or received are stripped of its text and an empty email with no recipient is located in the folder "files".

When I start Outlook on Mac or Office365 in the browser, I can't see the folder "files".

    After digging around some more to the forums I found my resolution. I had to remove my iCloud account (which uses my hotmail email address) then add my Hotmail email, then add my iCloud account again.

  • Trouble with CS2 on Mac G5 with new accounts of users - activation problems?

    My system is a Mac G5 Quad running OS 10.5.8 and I have CS2 premium suite. When I bought the machine, I did everything under a user account. Several months ago, the account has started giving me a few problems and my situation has changed, so it makes sense to create new, separate user accounts on my Mac for work and personal use.

    Recently, I offered to help a friend with a design work and tried to launch InDesign CS2 for my new business. I immediately received a request for a serial number. I looked and it is entered. An error that says

    "Invalid serial number."

    The serial number you provided is not valid.

    Please check your serial number and enter it again. »

    I tried a few times more, making sure I got it right. Without success.

    I gave up and started my original user account, launched InDesign and launched the project. I put the document up and tried to save it. InDesign displays an error indicating "Impossible to record"Untitled-1"under a new name." The file "DBTmp [lots of numbers]" is damaged ("error code: 0" everytime I restarted and tried again the temp file name was different.)

    So now, I'm suddenly without one of my main tools and have no idea how to do to get it back. I guess it's a problem with the activation mechanism, but can not find a lot of resources on this topic. It seems that my attempt to launch InDesign to my account again triggered a code of piracy protection or something.

    I'm typing this while waiting for Adobe support. 25 minutes and it continues...

  • Droid - length of e-mail with Exchange Server problem

    -Very well, so I'm moderately new to the DROID, but I'm not new phones or technology.  I know that the DROID and exchange server do not have the best time together but I was wondering if there is a setting somewhere that allows me to receive full email when I use the built in DROID Exchange program.  Now when I get an email that seems to receive the first X number of characters, then the rest is not here.  It comes out about paragraphs, words worth.  Y at - it a setting that I am missing or that's how it is with everyone.  I see a lot of people download hit, what I'll do if I have to, but I'm a poor College kid, the last thing I want to do is to drop $ 20 on something that I think the phone should already so.  Any ideas or suggestions?  Thank you.

    This isn't the behavior that I'm observing.

    Have you tried a simple Reset by pressing the Home and Power buttons until the Apple logo appears.

  • Mac mail Gmail expires

    I use Mac Mail with imap to access my institutional email account, which is managed by Google. Very, very often, when I put them to the top of my window in Mail for Mac, there will be a small triangle with an exclamation point inside, next to the icon of my box 'in '. If I click on it, I get a dialog box with a message stating that the connection with the Gmail server has expired. Usually, that takes care of itself in about ten minutes, but it's pretty boring, and I wonder if it is what I can do about it.     Thanks in advance for your comments. I'm hopelessly confused and I was afraid that my infected machine.

    I tried running Mac Mail a couple of times and it stopped on me. Then the third time it closes that I received an error message that a plugin has caused the problem. The path of the Plugin is listed as /Users/USER/Library/Mail/*/HockeySDK.framework/Versions/A/HockeySDK and the Plugin identifier is net.hockeyapp.sdk.mac.

    I searched using terminal, finder and the console for a user named 'USER' on my mac account. I see users root are my user name.

    I understand that it is possible to hide a user account, but have you tried the commands that should display all hidden user accounts and they have not revealed a user named USER account. To be clear, I have tried all the standard ways in the terminal to find a user account and cannot.

    Is someone can you please tell me if my Mac is infected with some hidden user account? Here are some of the comments of the 'details and System Configuration problem' as the form of question will allow me to answer:

    Found the same thing via a report of incidents for mail:

    It seems to be a related e-mail folder.

    In my case, I get this report due to a persistent fall whenever I click on the "Get new mail" icon in the mail.

  • Mac Mail continues to request password Hotmail account

    Recently my Mac Mail were continually asked my hotmail account password. When I enter it I get a message that it cannot verify the user and the password. The pop3 account was changed to popmail.outlook.com on the Mac. Worked until about 2 weeks ago.

    I was not able to put in place than others, IMAP or Exchange Outlook. If you try to use "Other E-mail", it may not always check the password. It still works on the iphone 4, so I know that the password is fine. I can access in the browser if the account is fine too.

    I deleted VPN and firewall but no luck. I deleted all the old password Keychain for 'hotmail' and 'live', just in case.

    I don't want to lose all of my old emails that they are located in several folders work with other emails from other servers... Can't risk to delete and re-add this account. I have years of important emails. I realize I could use time machine to retrieve messages, but it is painful and slow.

    Anyone got working under the latest Mac OS X (el Cap) Mac Mail from Hotmail? What are the settings you are using please?

  • Mail on Surface RT connection to Exchange account

    How is it possible for the Member States to build something so big as the tablet of the RT and then so would be remiss to leave something so fundamental as the ability to use e-mail with my Exchange account?  Can I use my iPad with Exchange and Lumia 800!  Microsoft make a major error here!

    I was hoping to replace my iPad with the Surface RT, but I don't see what is happening.  Come on MS make it a priority as an update to the Mail App.  How can expect you to compete with a product that works with your server better than your own product?

    It is large and, indeed, he has helped but not before I overcame the obstacle of to add my Hotmail account first.

    It's a strange way to approach the problem - in my case, I bought the camera for work, so wanted to add my Exchange account, but the instructions you have given above did not work until I have add my Hotmail account.  Once this is done, I had to add several types of accounts.

    I see you are eager to copy emails from one Mac to another.  At that time, the easiest way for you to achieve this is to simply add your e-mail accounts to the other computer.  The majority of e-mail providers use IMAP for the storage needs of e-mail, which maintains the emails on the server itself, rather than the POP that downloads the messages to your computer.

    Set up Mail

    When you open Mail, you are prompted to configure your e-mail account if you have not already.

    Select your email provider from the list. If you do not see your email provider, click "add another mail account." Then click on continue.

    Mail request your name, email address and password by e-mail. Fill out this information, then click on create.

    E-mail complete your account settings based on the email address you provide and in OS X Yosemite or later, Mail automatically manages them.

    • If Mail does not recognize your email provider, it may ask you additional parameters.
    • If you need to add more than one e-mail account, start with your main account. Then use Internet accounts to add other accounts.

    Use the mail on your Mac.
