• Web Works SDK Installation stuck on the first Page

  Hi guys, I installed SDK WebWorks on my Mac OSX 10.8. I have java version 1.6.2. However, when I run the installer, it asks me to enter the Admin password and then, it launches the Installation Wizard of anywhere. It presents the first screen with a button "Next" and then it just stuck there, I rebooted several times and once it moves to "FAKE" page but then it does not there either, I can't even go to option buttons on this screen. It's a horrible experience, I'll have no waiting not BlackBerry.

  I ran across the configuration Client SDK web vSphere sometimes document. What's up until I have try to launch the Virgin server.

  I get a few exceptions of plugins do not install followed by the server to overwrite/restarting(see log file).

  Your webclient.properties contains an invalid cm.url (cm = Component Manager), check the value.

  Something needs to happen when you have run the dev installation script to generate webclient.properties.

• The implementation of RunProgramInGuest of VIX using the vSphere Web Services SDK?

  A few months ago I developed a python API for VIX, but as I needed to extend the functionality of this API (performance monitoring, host management, etc.) I moved the vSphere Web Services SDK.

  However, I did find a way to implement some comments VIX as LoginInGuest or RunProgramInGuest functions using only the Web Services SDK.

  Is there a way to do this? I thought that each function VIX has been translated internally to a soap request, but now I think that is not the case for these functions of comments, if so, how VIX inwardly does them?

  Currently, if you must implement specific comments operations running a specific script/application or by connecting to a guest, you must use the VIX API. This feature is not currently exposed in the vSphere API, you will need to use a combination of both, until VMware them integrates in the vSphere API core. • Which server to connect to with Web Services SDK?

  Is there a way to know which server to connect to when using Web Services SDK?  It must be the ESX Server virtual machine is on, I guess.  But a customer pretends that we are connect to its server vCenter Server, which I do not think that was possible. I tried to call one of the SDK sample and connect to my vCenter server, but it didn't connect. I had to connect to my server ESX or vSphere.

  We use them vSphere 4.0

  The only api vSphere is available on (i) ESX and vCenter, some things will be available on one or the other, for example, cloning is a feature of vCenter and there will be APIs that is available only when connecting to vCenter. Depending on what you're trying to run, you can be able to obtain the information by using two systems, such as the search for a virtual machine. If you manage only a single host, it is pretty trivial, but if you manage more than 20 + guests and you have vCenter, then you probably want to use vCenter.

  I don't think you understand clearly the operation of the vSphere API and what is worrying, it is that you meet your customers to run a script unknown in which they or you understand. • Specific VirtualMachine counters through the Web Services SDK

  I'm developing a monitorapp in c# with the web services SDK.

  I am able to get a list of all the performance with the PerformanceManager counters.

  ObjectContent [oCont] is getPropertyContent ("PerformanceManager", "perfCounter", _serviceContent.perfManager);.

  I ask this directly to an ESX 4.

  The answer I'll be of return contains all of the available counters, but there is no division between the host and the virtual-counter Machine.

  For example, cpu.utilization is available for the host and not a VM.

  Is it possible to know somehow what counters are specific to vm?

  I am able to get object references managed virtual machines if that's any help...

  Hi Glenn,.

  The property "perfCounter" PerformanceManager fetch all of the counters that are available in the host or vCenter. It provides no mechanism to filter counters. In order to obtain the available counters specific to a managed entity (VM, host, etc.) you must use the QueryAvailablePerfMetric method. Calling this method against MOR of the virtual machine, you will get all the ID counter for this virtual machine.

• vSphere: VI vs Web Services SDK Toolkit

  I'm looking in the development of some tools to automate my vSphere infrastructure. I intend to write code using c# and the code could potentially be placed in Windows forms, web services, etc..

  I downloaded the .NET SDK for vSphere web service and it seems to be rather too complicated to perform simple tasks like comments to restart. I also found the kit of development .NET for the VI (VMware.vim) Toolkit, which looks much simpler to use.

  Y at - there a lot of difference between the two software development kits? There that all define the reasons for choosing one over the other?

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• Strange problems with Firefox!

  Hello.
  I am a user of Mozilla Firefox about 3 years. I use it on my desktop and on my laptop. in the PC, I have no problem; but in the laptop, I have strange problems. I searched this problem to support Mozilla and Google also! but I can't find any answer.
  Also, I have reset Firefox and problem resists. even I uninstall and install after. but the problem remains.
  Now, I'm under Firefox 22.0.

  Problems:

  2. sometimes I can't switch between tabs.the there is no need to click!
  3 Middle click of the mouse to move around the page work; but its icon is not displayed! ( http://www.8pic.ir/viewer.php?file=44434592402706809052.jpg )
  4. some of the Add-ons not work! for example; I use "Video download 1.97.2 pure", but its icon in the header will work not (just like the download icon that mentioned in 1). There is no need to click! (I use this add-on in my PC and it works).

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

  (If you use it, switch to the default theme).

  • You can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

  Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

  If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

• Strange problem with Toshiba Express Media Player on Satellite M115-S3094

  I am facing a strange problem in my Toshiba M115-S3094, which has been pre-installed with Windows XP Media Center edition and which also had the Toshiba Express Media Player.

  I had already done a clean install of Vista on it, and then I decided to go back to XP with my recovery DVDs. I did the same procedures of first installation Express Media Player to backup (that I did when I bought the laptop) and then installing Windows XP DVD de Toshiba Recovery XP.

  The steps included:
  1 deleted recovery Express media player disk partitions
  2. installed express media player
  3 extracted Xp Recovery DVD, by selecting 'Recover without changing the Partitions' (there is no expert mode)

  Everything was fine (i.e. installation)... But now, after the turning off my laptop I press the Express Media Center button, the logo "Express Media Player" appears on the screen after loading of closures of laptop for 5 seconds.

  I tried to open it again and again, but the logo is displayed for 5 seconds and then my laptop stop...

  Laptop works fine when I connect to windows by pressing the power button / stop.

  Can someone help me on this strange question... ?

  The whole story is a bit confusing
  First of all, I would like to know if your laptop is already preinstalled with the Media Express Player and if you were able to use it on your laptop in the past.

  Now something about the Express Media Player installation;
  In order to use the media functions Express the Mediaplayer Express Recovery CD must be performed before performing the recovery from the recovery DVD-ROM products.

  In addition, on the HARD drive should at least 150-200 MB of free space available.
  This free space must be on the end of the HARD drive and there must be unallocated. To get these free space on party products 3rd HARD drive should be used as Partitions Magic 8.

  I m not 100% sure that on error ID system badly but maybe it corresponds to the DMI evil information stored on the motherboard. If we're not DMI, you will not be able to reinstall Express Media player using the recovery media express CD.
  In the DMI must be set properly the manufacturing: Toshiba, product name: for example by Satellite M115-S30

• Strange problem - Cluster of references

  Hello guys

  I had a strange problems using a cluster with references.

  How to reproduce the problem:

  -Open a white VI;

  -create two charts in the front panel;

  -in the block diagram, create references to two graphics;

  -connect these references to a package (not);

  -create an indicator across;

  -run the VI once;

  -Right-click on the beam indicator and change it to a control;

  -remove the references and bundle;

  -Select the control from the front panel, go to EDITION, CUSTOMIZE the CONTROL;

  -change the type strict def;

  -Save this order as Control1.ctl;

  -connect the control to a unbundle by name;

  -Right-click on the name unbundle and select one of the two graphs as an element (no matter that one select it);

  -Create a property node and feed its terminal of reference with the reference of the unbundle by name;

  -use of the 'Label.Text' property in the property node;

  -create a flag for the node of the property;

  -run the VI;

  -l' indicator will display the correct label for this chart.

  -perfect!

  If you save the VI and run again, fine.

  But... If you close it, open it again and run... you will get an error 1055 "object reference is not valid.

  Why it worked before closing?

  Let see if I can answer before I start work.

  Do a quick experiment.

  Use Type casting to cast your Ref as a U32 and display this value on the public Service.

  Save the VI race she and the registration number on the FP.

  The following is an example of an another VI using the MISTLETOE refs.

• Program cannot display web page on start up - replacements all & freeze safe mode

  Hi, on my pc startup (Vista) after the initial office, he's going on a blank white page with information i. Message is "the program cannot display Web page". If I try to start the task manager that flashes briefly upward, then the white screen resumes. If I try again, I get a black screen. While the screen is in place I can't do anything else or run programs at startup upward until this screen.

  If I boot in safe mode, the top of desktop and icons here, but I can't do anything else - even closed. I have to press the power button until the PC is emerging.

  I don't know how to do BACK guests or find how to work around this problem. I tried several searches but all the answers are in line to remove this or that or a scanner. I don't have access to all programs do. Even the answers on this site so far await you to be able to run other programs of some sort. I'll have to write this on PC of the wife. Any help / suggestions gratefully received.

  You can use Windows Defender in offline mode, use a PC secure and download and use:

  http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/what-is-Windows-Defender-offline

  And then use removable media or a CD/DVD and create the startup and startup disk in your infected PC and then run a full system scan. You have no need to start your system in this way.
