Strange "Scan chain" Timestamp error

Hello

I try to analyze my time string in a timestamp with 'Analysis of the chain' but I have some Error (1) strange.

Code:

The error:

can anyone confirm? have I not a mistake in my string parser?

It may be due to this Bug

461196

Scan chain VI returns 1 error with '%t' as the input format string

http://www.NI.com/product-documentation/52151/en/

This should be fixed?

my version of labview is

LV 2014 SP1 - Version 14.0.1 (32 bit)

with the addon in real time (but the code in question was not executed on RT)

Thanks for your time.

Why do you have the square brackets around the string format string analysis? They aren't there when you generate the timestamp string if it fails when you try to convert as soon as they are supposed to be there.

  • Scan chain with TRUE FALSE and the comma as separator

Produced cabling 'REAL FAKE' entry as '%s %s' format as false to scan string constants

the two binary values you want, corresponding to the input string.

Whereas "TRUE, FALSE" as entry and "%s, %s" format leads to an error.

I lost a lot of time to understand that the error has its origin in the incompatible separator and not in the way I use this function.

Wouldn't be possible (ask nicely) to place a note in the online help for this function, you need to use only spaces or tabs as separators
with chains binary when you use this function?

It was not clear to me why I should not use the comma as a separator.

Now, my solution is to replace all the commas with spaces before you wire the input string to scan from a string.

Is there another workaround solution or someone can provide a deeper understanding of why comma does not work?

My guess is that he was mistaken for a decimal separator and implies not being part of a binary value.

    Use ' % [^,], %s ' as your specifier.  ' % [^,] "will result in a string up to the next comma.

    Hi @karebear

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that you get a connection error message. I assume you get the error message when you try to use the scan to E-mail feature of your HP printer.

I'm guessing that you have a Photosmart printer or desire. Please set a manual IP manual and address of DNS server for the printer. I've included a link to another post which has measurements, including screenshots, on how to do it. Don't worry that the screenshots show a printer Photosmart 7510, the steps are the same.

Please let me know the results.

  • cRIO 9068 + Scan Engine Support error - even if it is installed on the cRIO, after the deployment of error says his lack

    All,

I have a cRIO-9068 I try to use the scan mode for. I have intalled all the latest drivers and software as explained. However, when I put my chassis to scan mode, then select deployment all, I get this error on my chassis and all my modules:

"The current module settings require a NI Scan Engine support on the controller. You can use Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) to install a software package recommended NOR-Rio with NI Scan Engine support on the controller. If you installed LabVIEW FPGA, you can use this module with LabVIEW FPGA by adding an element of FPGA target under the chassis and drag and drop the module on the FPGA target element. »

Everyone knows this or know why labVIEW does not recognize that the software is installed on my cRIO or is it not installed correctly?

    AGJ,

Thanks for the image. I saw a green arrown beside all my pictures of chip and it seemed that meant that the software wasn't really being installed. I formatted my cRIO and did a custom install. My problem was that I had the two labview 2013 and 2014 installed and the cRIO put conflicting versions of software. After doing a custom installation and choose only the versions of 2014, my picture now looks like yours!

  • HP 6700 Premium: Behavior strange scan

Machine has worked perfectly for almost two years.  It still prints perfectly.  BUT, I just returned from a two week trip, & now, whenver I go to scan, he asked me to do an installation of the printer, and I have to re - enter the router IP address each time, even if I do not stop the computer between scans.  VERY STRANGE!  I did a 'cleansing' of my HD in the meantime; which could affect something?  I need to reload the drivers provided by the link to HP support?  I'm puzzled.  Thank you!

    Hello

Suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the printer software, follow these steps:

1 uninstall the software from your computer
    2. download and save the software COMPLETE features (do not install online)

The following resources will help you:

HP printer install wizard for Windows
    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL50403/MP-150580-2/hppiw.exe

    3. install the FULL feature software "saved".

    Hope that helps!

  • Photosmart 6520 all in a single pri: scan to email error

I am trying to scan to email, but an error message connection server 403 error. There was a problem connecting to the server.

Help. I need to scan documents.

    Hey @twoz923,

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

I understand that you are not able to scan to email using your 6520 HP Photosmart e-all-in-one printer.  I would like to help.  I have a few troubleshooting steps that can restore this feature.

First of all, is your printer connected to your wireless network?

    • From the front of the printer, press the wireless icon -make sure that it displays an IP address indicating that you are connected to your network.  If so, proceed as described below, if you are not connected, click here to learn how to fix.

    Then, are your webservices enabled?

    • Front panel of the printer, press the icon shown in the image below:

    • If the printer displays an address [email protected], your Web services are enabled.  If this isn't the case, tap Activate Webservices and press OK to enable automatic updates.

If you encounter a problem with the activation of the Web services, I recommend that you try to set a manual DNS address for your printer. Often, I find this useful step when working with printing and scanning to E-mail configurations.  It will strengthen the ability of your printer to make a secondary connection with your router.  My friend @PrintApper has asked the steps to set a manual DNS in a post on the Forum - click here to access and scroll down for 'E.      Set a manual IP/DNS server settings of your printer. "

Once you have enabled Web services, tap the Scan icon to complete your analysis of the configuration of e-mail.

Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post.  If you encounter other obstacles of installation I am always happy to help you.

Have a great day and feel free to give me a virtual h.o.t. by clicking on the 'Thumbs Up' icon below, if I solved your problem.

  • mode scan interface - 805 error

    Hello

I am a beginner system Compact RIO. The on I have a few questions scan mode interface.

    The only plug-in hardware is

The cRIO-9012 controller and chassis integrated cRIO-9101

    a map AI 9205

    a card DIO 9401

I would like to use the scan interface mode to understand the functioning of the cards, the in FPGA interface mode, it takes time for the compilation.

The chassis does not support the interface mode scan, so I set up 2 cards variables individually using the I/O. Then I create the VI United Nations simply to read the voltage level of the card HAVE. I get an error - 805: source of synchronization, synchronize with the scan engine.

I also checked in MAX, scan of OR soft the engine is installed.

Could someone tell me this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Scan chain corresponds to all adjacent spaces when a sequence of scanning to match an exact string ends in a space

Recently, I wrote code to parse a string using the string function analysis.  The string contains a descriptive text as well as some of the settings I want to recover the chain.  My approach has been using a format string that match an exact string (descriptive text), that deletes or ignores the exact string and then corresponds to a parameter in the input string.  The remaining string contains more data which are analysed later.

The problem I encountered is that corresponding to an exact string doesn't seem to work as I expect if the exact string ends with a space.  In this case, the exact string is offset, and other white space characters that immediately follow the exact string.  Let me illustrate by examples (------codes are displayed).

    Case 1: input string = "Line\s1\s\s\nLine\s2".

    string format = "Line\s%d".

    remaining string = "\s\s\nLine\s2".

Note that spaces and the supply line after that '1' are moved to the remaining string in this case.

    Case 2: input string = "Line\s1\s\s\nLine\s2".

    string format = "Line\s%d\s".

    remaining string = "Line\s2".

Note that all the spaces and line power immediately after that '1' are deleted and are NOT passed to the remaining string in this case.

Behavior in case 2, it's not what I was expecting.  Can someone comment on that?  I can probably work around this problem, but would like to understand how the channel Scan function is supposed to work.  Is this a bug?

    Citing the detailed help:

A space in the format string matches any amount of white space, such as spaces, tabs, line breaks and forms RSS.

  • HP C7280 All in One printer: HP Scan of the error using HP C7280 all-in-one printer

  • Scan chain with variable elements of number?

    Hi all

I wonder what would be a good way to parse a string containing a variable number of items to search for. I've seen comments of Roberto on the scan function that are very useful (link1, Link2).

The string type, I would be sweeping would be "5 2.6 4.7 5.01 7.1 4.03" with 5 specifying that will follow 5 double rooms, delimited by spaces.

    Thanks in advance!

Scan of the CVI function is very powerful, with many options and features, but it has some limitations.

For example, the ability to scan several parameters in a table as Roberto watch is very slippery, but I can't find a way so he can tell me how many items have been scanned.  Scan returns the number of items formatted, but apparently, it counts a table as a single item.  You can check that by checking the return value of scanning in the message of Roberto.

I tend to fall back on many of the functions of the library of ANSI-C function strtok Norbert suggested.  You need more lines of code, because you load the element of a table at a time in a loop, but you can add more checking along the way of the errors.  You could do the same thing with the sweep, playback of a parameter at the same time and then jump the NumFmtdBytes() in the next reading.  But if I do not need the additional capacity a CVI library function, I use the ANSI C function.

It's just another way of seeing things.  strtok is not clearly better than Scan() in this case, it shows just another approach.  Each has its own advantages and disadvantages.

Take a look at the attached simple example.  It shows some of the audit that can be done, with examples of several types of possible errors of possible errors.
