Streaking in Image, bad print head - but which? HP Deskjet 130

In my impressions poster there are subtle scratches and discoloration.  I know that it means two years of printing: print head problem.  Usually I just buy new print heads and am done with it, but business has been slow.  I need to know what print head or the print heads are the culprit.  I would save a lot of money without replacing all six each time I have this problem.

I have replaced all my printheads on average 4-5 months.  At present it costs almost as much to run the printer that I win it.

Would really appreciate tips.  Thank you!

I did my own test strip with blocks of pure color for all six printing and print heads.  Simple solution.  THX

  • DesignJet 5500: print head print test very good page, but I still get the error message to replace the printhead

On my DesignJet 5500, I rswitched the ink tubes, printheads and printhead cleaners dyeing anti-UV, 81 to 83.

I got an error message saying that the black print head needed to be replaced so I bought another head black printing and after that, I was able to print a test page that shows all the colors (image quality page?).

Magenta not give not any code of error before, but now I get an error message saying that the printhead magenta must be replaced, even if magenta print well on the printed test page.

    Hello

The printer give you a warning when the health of the print head is low, but it will continue to print.

If the problem has been solved after all print head replacement can be that a print head cause others to fail

Or, just a few bad print heads

  • OfficeJet pro 8500: print heads and things

OK, maybe it's a bit confusing. I have three printers Officejet 8500. No. 1 went into a never-ending cycle of clean print heads (after more than 30,000 pages) and without me being in the room the right side of the printer depot of ink on the table. Tried the reset but not good. Bought a second hand and after a few weeks, it came in paper jam mode. Could not resolve so finally bought number three. Works a treat and has no problem. Numbers one and two are for recycling. Print heads removed and stored in an airtight box with damp cloth. What is staging. Now after spending all that money, the last thing I want, it's having problems with number three. However, I have three cartridge sets new and unopened from PC World (their own brand) which cost £39. They came with the number two of the machine. They are not dated and has no way to know at what age they are. They are not oem, I can't any advice on their likely performance, but what worries me, is can the ink begins to solidify and block print heads as they age? Like I said they are still sealed. If I change the cartridge and use a spare set of the print heads to check the print output and that something is wrong if I can swap cartridges and print heads back without the printer enter the cycle of constant head cleaning. I know there have been issues with these printers but mine is on 27 000 pages and all tests are reports back in good health. I have also several chips of HP cartridges genuine that I can use.  Sorry as that a little long-winded.

    Hello @notahappybunny,

Welcome to the forums of HP.

I understand that you have some questions and concerns about your ink cartridges non OEM 8500 and some.

    I would like to help.

The following document explains on the expiry of the ink.

Consumable inkjet HP - ink Expiration

From what I've read, it's I think I understand that the ink may change over time.

Because ink is sealed I don't think they're going to solidify, but the pigment used in the ink may eventually separate from water. This will certainly cause print quality problems.

In addition, your first 8500 printhead might not be good.

A bad print head may cause the impression of entering the cycle without end cleaning.

I hope that I have answered your question.

  • OfficeJet Pro X476W - missing 0xc6fd0013 message, or incorrectly installed print head not detected,

Hi, everything has been good with this printer up to a couple of days. Whist, the right kind of noises - it just stopped printing, or sometimes {in response to requests for print) spat a blank page or both.

I tried to clean the print head, but he travels just a loop and does nothing, if the wall point, deleted and reinserted cartridge, removed market turned and replaced the duplex roller, blah blah - all the usual stuff.

But... I've never seen such a script error before - this is worrying. The printer just died on me?

If so, is it possible to replace the printhead on one of them?

No indication of how to solve the problem please?

    Thanks in advance...

I couldn't find a service manual for the OJ Pro x476w or the other.  It is usually the case for OfficeJet products but I was under the assumption that HP was poised to release a service manual for the X Pro series since his business are more than the normal OJ.

I also don't seem to be able to view the guide to normal use of the HPs site right now.  My hope was to search through it for clues as to how to complete the resettlement of the print heads, as there is usually a section small maintnenance included in the documentation.

Given the nature of this problem and what I heard of HP engineers that the printhead from the printer table must have a life that survives to the printer.  It is supposed to be enough printheads on eachother table backup in the case of breakdowns that users are not supposed to notice the difference.  Even through the printer is out of warranty HP may be interested in helping you with the picture of the print head.  I give them a call and see if they can offer any assistance.

Another idea would be to find a seller of parts and ask them if they have an array of replacement for your printer print head.  If they could have some instructions on how to install that you could use to reinstall your current table.  Googling autour, I was not able find parts online so this is perhaps a good reason to call HP and ask for suggestions on where to find spare parts.

  • Photosmart B109 question - display message print head problem cannot be removed

Hi all, I just bought a used B109 printer/scanner, and I can't get rid of the message on the display screen.

I bought the unit knowing he had a problem with Printhead and am waiting for a new print head, but the problem is, the language of unity has been defined in Czech by the former owner, and I want to change it to English. However, the process to change the language (press on high righ, middle left and bottom left buttons and the display screen) will not work because the display shows the message print head problem, and I can't get rid of the message.

Is it possible to access the menu, while the print head message always?

Oh, and is it possible to really connect with HP? Through their support just site ends with Q & A generic, that does not solve my problem as stated above... :-(

    Hello TonyW1967,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

In fact, you will have to wait until the new printhead is installed and clear the error before we can enter the setting menu to change the language on the printer.

Here's the information to call the Tech Support of HP.  If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, please click here: click here.

    Thanks for your time.

    See you soon,.
