Stream HP 11: computer does not turn on

I buy a hp feed for my mother to Wal-Mart in early December, two days ago it turned off and won't turn back on. The light comes on when it is plugged in, but no matter what I do, I can't turn on. I tried to unplug and exploitation to the button works / stop for 30 seconds, then plug it again and try to turn it on, not good. I tried to see if I could get the battery to drain for 2 days then plug back in, but still a time not good. My mother does not seem to call for any type of warranty, is that all I could do that I don't think to save it?

You did everything an end-user can expect to make. If registered or not you have a warranty on a laptop bought in December. Start a business from HP support and assistance.

Original title: computer does not turn on

    Hello

    ·          Were you able to start the computer in Safe Mode?

Step 1: Make sure that the disk group is selected as first boot device. Unplug all external USB devices, then try to restart the computer.

NOTE: changes to the BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Step 2: Try startup repair if it is an option of recovering preinstalled on your computer.

  • My computer does not turn off, it crashes on closing.

My computer does not turn off, it crashes on closing.  I have to press the Start button, in the hold, and then after 20 seconds it turns off.  Often when I turn on the next time, it sometimes says Windows is not stopped successfully, but I know that all my programs had been closed.

I wouldn't use anything done by Uniblue, it does not work. It will make things worse.

I would like to uninstall Mcafee, and then use the removal tool to remove it completely. Install rather program AV from Microsoft.

  • Computer does not turn on

I have hp pavilion dv7-6163us computer time. It is 5 and a half years. I don't know if it's 32-bit or 64-bit. It turns on, but white light flashing where is taking. I have no problems other than the loud fan noise that served for about a year. I tried removing the battery and pressing the button works / stop for 20 seconds, then replacing battery and try to turn it on, but that has not worked. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do. Should I start with a new card and see if it works? Thank you.

    Hello @Sweetlee,

Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! The forums are a great place where you can find solutions for your problems, with the help of the community!

I came across your post on the laptop won't start not and he wanted to help!  I understand that you tried to perform a hard reset, without success.

The flashing white light indicates that the battery has a sufficient charge to power the laptop.  Have you tried the laptop computer on power adapter only?  If the laptop does not start just by using the adapter, then you may need to replace it.  You can try to test the adapter with the following document:

  • Replace the power supply, computer does not turn on

I had a Seasonic SS 560 KM power supply for my HP Pav e9280t.  I removed the old power supply while keeping the power cable is plugged in.  Then replaced each power cables one at a time in the new power supply and finally he attached to the tower.

Now when I try to turn on your computer, it just boots barely upward.  I can hear the fans kick on for a second or two, then everything just stops.

Since I replaced the cables one at a time I don't think I missed anything; MoBo, Fan of MoBo, 1 optical drive, disk HARD 2 and 1GPU.  The tower is open and I can see the fan, the fan GPU MoBo and PSU fan all hang on one second so that they get the right power?

I must have missed something or possibly faulty PSU?  Any help will be appreciated.

Hello Chadow86, it is possible to the new power supply may be faulty. I would check double all the connectors again.

Since you mentioned the fan to the motherboard, it would not be necessary to unplug the CPU fan when you changed the power supply. The CPU fan power source comes from the motherboard and not directly from the power supply. I don't know what fan on the motherboard you are talking about.

I watched the specifications and photos of the new power supply. It is a modular design. I would check the cables connected to the power supply to make sure that they are in the correct connectors.

If the system still does not start, the cause could be a new power supply faulty.

    I hope this helps.

Malware can stop security to run programs.

Have you tried to use these programs in Mode safe mode with networking that I advised you of? :

'Advanced options boot (including safe mode).

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode#1TC=Windows-7

"The Advanced Boot Options screen lets you start Windows in advanced troubleshooting mode. You can access the menu by turning on your computer and pressing the F8 key before starting Windows (press F8 at the rate of about once per second)"

    Also, follow this step:

Once in Safe Mode with network, download and run RKill before the scan with these programs.

RKill does NOT remove the malware; It stops the Malware process that gives you a chance to remove it with your security programs.

    Hello

Try disabling the startup of Windows 10 hybrid - you can do the following.

Open settings and select System.  Select food and sleep, and then click additional power settings - in the next window, click on "Choose what the power button" in the left pane.

In the next window, click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable" (close), then Remove the check mark from the box against 'Turn on a quick start (recommended) '.  Click on the button Save the settings, and then close windows open and stop the laptop by right clicking on the icon in Start Menu, select (Admin) command prompt and click 'Yes' to the uac prompt.

Type (or copy and paste) the following command (including spaces) and click Enter.

    Shutdown /s /t 0

Start the laptop and let Windows take over completely for a few minutes before checking if it is now shut down properly in the Start Menu.

If this has fixed the problem, it may be useful by turning the quick start back on - sometimes simply remove and re-create the file will solve the problem.

    Kind regards
