Stream Mini 200-010: upgrade BCM43142 on HP Mini 200-010 Stream wireless

I have upgraded to Windows 10 and because of the location of my residential gateway (RG), I'm limited to wireless. I want to upgrade the card to an AC class with bluetooth wireless. I have updated the drivers, but still have a dropout.  Someone at - it a good upgrade adapter known? I replaced the card in my laptop and it connects now reliable tape 5g without abandonment.

Sorry, that didn't work.

I guess you'll have to opt for the Broadcom AC card that I posted, and if you want just the card dual band N, you can go for this one...

Broadcom BCM943228HMB 802.11abgn 2 × 2 Wi - Fi adapter, card Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0

HP Part # 730668-001

You never said if your PC has a Celeron or Pentium processor.

As I said the other day, people who have tried a 7260 Intel wireless card in a laptop with a celeron or pentium processor... it does not work.

I have no idea why it doesn't work.

Year YEAR Intel 7260 works wonderfully in my G1 350 with the 4th generation core i3 when I replaced the broadcom stock card.

I agreed to let Vista search for the best drivers, but after a few seconds I said that there is a problem, Vista cannot find the files needed and cancels the installation of the card. I then remove the whole device in Device Manager and then install the new drivers, but always, Vista tells me that it can't ind files needed...
Any suggestions on what to do before you do a reinstall full?

    Hello!

Try to use the drivers from Intel. Maybe they work.
You install the driver with the setup.exe program? Try to install the manual drivers with driver update.

Also make sure you have all Service Packs and fixes for Windows installed.

Last but not least check from Toshiba Web site for an update of the BIOS.

  • Pavilion Touchsmart 15-n022sa: upgrade of the HP Pavilion Touchsmart 15-n022sa wireless card

I want to upgrade the Wifi card the currently disappointing Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 b/g/n wifi adapter to the 802.11a/b/g/n Intel 6230 Wireless N WiFi Bluetooth BT 3.0 a half size PCI-E card dual band 2.4/5.0 GHz I heard much talk about the notrorious 'white list '.

I've found a few documents: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04438537 , but none of the compatible cards listed have 5 ghz, bluetooth and ubuntu support.

    This upgrade is not possible?

    SOLUTION:

The wifi worked and both antennas were present. Bluetooth, however, did not work until I did the following:

I followed the instructions on post # #50 here https://communities.intel.com/thread/31247?start=45 & tstart = 0 which involved recording pin 51 (the right most pin with the card with ports antenea face) and it worked a treat. Apparently, it's also possible with the software in the HP connection manager, but apparently it is not supported on windows 10.

There was no driver installation necessary.

    Hello:

HP removed the BIOS of their whitelists notebooks about 18-24 months, if the Intel 6230 card should work just fine.

What may be a bigger problem than many laptops equipped with the Realtek RTL8188EE 802. 11 b/g/n WiFi adapter have only 1 antenna connected to the card, instead of the normal two.

I can't make you what models, and those who didn't and the maintenance manual will normally show photos in the withdrawal of the wireless card and the section replacing the card always have 2 antennas connected to it.

You have to be willing and able to take the laptop everything hand, including the area of display panel, install a second dish (should be required).

A dual-band card will not work with only an antenna connected to it.

New printer OfficeJet Mobile 200 & 250 models allow a wireless and USB connection at the same time?  Plug a USB cable disables the wireless connection?  The wireless connection can be disabled via the configuration?  The described how the HP printing software user Guide can be used from a USB connection to a wireless network (and WiFi USB coversley).  Later in the same document, he says "Wi - Fi Direct can be used, while the printer is also connected to a computer via a USB cable or a network using a Wi - Fi connection".

The limitation to a single connection is on the computer. Windows supports a single connection to a device, i.e. on Windows is you install the printer as a USB printer or a wireless printer, not both at the same time.

  • Socket RAW InputStream.availalble () in stream wireless network always 0?

For all BlackBerry networking expert out there.

The explanation of the problem will be quite long, so I'll try to structure the message to facilitate navigation.

    Introduction

Recently, we went from HttpConnection to raw sockets in our application.  It wasn't an easy decision (a lot of extra code had to be written and debugged) - it stemmed from the fact that on different devices HttpConnection behaves very differently and sometimes we would just hang out here for always trying to read something, although enough bytes was available in the buffers of the system (I have seen it with my own eyes; can develop if anyone is interested).  There are other reasons, but this has been the main.

    Previously working solution

Once we went to the outlets and implemented our own HttpConnection (not me - someone to increase their knowledge in networks of BB did this), our problems have disappeared. In order to reduce the chance of getting stuck forever, we check InputStream.available () of the socket and, if there is always a thread. Sleep() 0, for some small interval (makes me cringe, but well, the user makes a call blocking!) then read just one byte (hoping that there might be something).  It worked for all trackball/touchcpad devices and all kinds of connections (SDM is a separate issue, but we managed)...

    New problem

... until we have tested the Storm (5.0 Storm1 and Storm2 - both 5.0 behaved similarly) with all, but connections WiFi disabled.  We have connected WiFi router to the company (I then repeated the test at home with my wireless router and got the same results).  BB browser worked fine.  However, our code began fails on our internal waiting time.  When I connected the phone to the debugger and set up breakpoints, I quickly discovered that InputStream.available () always zero returns! I'm not kidding!

Our code was constantly diverted waiting, waiting, reading another byte, read a byte...  Even when I changed the way that we on the download time was exceptionally slow (as in "unbearable").

Worse still - when I tried to wait before making the first longer interval (100ms) read, followed by reading the characters one by one without waiting, the phone started rebooting randomly!

    Request

Someone has seen something similar?  If so, what was your approach?  I won't sit idly while waiting the answers here - I have a few ideas to try-, but if anyone has been there, it would be nice if you can just push me in the right direction.

    Thanks in advance,

    Arkady.

Other people have had problems with available().  I'm surprised that you managed to get that you have to be honest, I thought he always returned 0.

We make socket connections, and always the transmission with a header field that contains prefix length.  So read on the Blackberry is basically

    (a) header to read

    (b) reading of data

    (c) to process the data

    (d) proceed to (a).

Another user and I had problems recently with http and OS 5.0 using WiFi connections - circuit up to and/or time out when reading the response.  This is the thread

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Java-development/network-IO-hang-on-OS5/m-p/541487

I would recommend you change your implementation of socket and detection of data along these kinds of lines, in other words, how data should be read and set up some kind of detection/stall.

    Does make sense?

  • Need help with the upgrade of the WLAN on Satellite Pro 6100 minipci card

Hello everyone, I desperately tried to update my WIRELESS card on my laptop SP6100, since it was delivered with a card minipci wifi-b, which is not fast enough today. s standards.

Each piece of the Toshiba official documentation mention the SP6100 has a mini-PCI type 3a slot, so can accommodate two minipci card a type 3a and 3B wifi.
But unfortunately for me, I discovered the hard way that it is absolutely NOT the case - I was put back by a fortune by buying costs for a type3 intel minipci wifi card, which does NOT at all on the laptop.

I spent an hour in unnecessary calls to the customer service from Toshiba, that I had to convince PCMCIA certainly isn't the same as miniPCI, and Mini - PCI cards ARE CERTAINLY replaceable by the user. She insisted that she could not be changed by the user of the system, but by toshiba themselves.

Could someone please please advise me on the type of wifi card that are built with the SP6100 laptops? I think is it AGERE brand, in the form of WLAN minipci card. I know that it IS certainly NOT miniPCI type 3.

    Help, please! Thank you.
And besides, every place that I tried so far appears only sell type3 miniPCI cards,
Other types of Mini-PCI cards are available to retail customers?

    Infinite thanks!

    Hello

You must understand that your model of laptop is quite old and right now the market wasn't available standard b. I'm pretty skeptical that you will be able to use the standard WLAN with G maps due to compatibility issues. On this forum, I founded several threads that people write about the problems of upgrading older models of laptops with the new wireless network cards.

In my opinion the best solution for you is to use a PCMCIA WLAN card. The installation should be easy and you can use the wireless network with faster data transfer adapter.

  • HP Mini 2102: updated HP Mini 2102 wireless card

You definitely have a problem of white list and there are only 4 wireless cards that work in this machine. See p. 47 of the manual here:

    Manual

They are all "N" cards and I think that the map you did a "N" not a 'G '. None, however, is dual band.

You should see what he listed as a network controller as well as all other devices in Device Manager.

He would have a little yellow! mark on the lower right part of the network controller.
