Streaming media files by using Manager.createPlayer)

Hey guys,.

quick question...

I have my application to connect to the internet via '; interface = wifi. "

and I stream media help

Player p = Manager.createPlayer("http://somelocation/blah.mp3");
p.start();

Whenever I run it, it throws an exception: "Bad Tunnel. If I add '; interface = wifi"at the end of the url, it is said that it is a bad URL.

Is there anyway to force the player to broadcast using the wi - fi connection?

For some reason when I use the example of buffering in playback when the player is told to stop, it stops playback but it continues to download the rest of the file when I call destroy() and even when I force stop & close each involved single stream. This is a problem since the other players on the same screen does not start streaming up to what the first stream is completely downloaded.

With the help of; = wifi interface should work in a URL used in the createPlayer method.  What model of Smartphone BlackBerry and the BlackBerry terminal software version you test on?  You can find this under Options, all on the BlackBerry Smartphone.  What is the BlackBerry handheld is connected to a Wi - Fi network at the time?  Note that the BlackBerry Simulator support no simulation of a Wi - Fi connection.

    What should I do to configure my windows firewall to allow network discovery and file sharing of printers and media streaming and sharing?

    Hi stephanie,.

    Thanks for joining us out on Microsoft Community Forums.

    Looks like the Windows firewall prevents the discovery network, files and printers, sharing, public sharing of files and streaming media. We will analyze and identify the cause of the problem.

    You have a third-party antivirus installed on the computer program?

    Method 1:

    To turn on network discovery

    1. Open advanced sharing settings by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type network, click Network and sharing Center, and then, in the left pane, click on change settings for sharing advanced.
    2. click on the chevron to expand the current network profile.
    3. click turn on network discovery and then click on save changes. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide
    confirmation.

    The article below explains all about the network discovery:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/enable-or-disable-network-discovery

    If any of these responses not solve the issue, let us then run the sfc scan and check if any file system is corrupt. I also recommend to perform a clean boot in order to find the root cause of the problem.

    Method 2:

    Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    b. type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow

    The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

    The max on most email providers is 10 MB. The only way that you could share this file would find a download site that allows to host this file. You can do a search for hosting sites and find one that goes on your needs. Once you download the file to the single copy of the site the link and give the person who you want to initially by email.

  • Problems with Manager.createPlayer)

    Hello

    I'm new in the world of development of BB... I'm doing a simple application that retrieves a file from a URL .wav and it plays, but the process is stuck on Manager.createPlayer (URL).

    I ran the application using the debugger and when it comes to this line he says 'source not found', here's a snippet of what I'm trying to do:

    public class MyPlayer implements PlayerListener, passable
    {

    Player;

    (I call this my main application thread and start it)

    {} public void start()
    Thread t = new Thread (this);
    t.Start ();
    }

    void run() {}
    try {}

    String url = "http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/mma/media/test-wav.wav";

    Create an instance of player
                 Player = Manager.createPlayer (url); (it gets stuck in this line and the IDE shows a source not found)
    player.addPlayerListener (this);

    make the player
    Player.Realize ();
    Player.prefetch ();
    Player.Start ();
    }
    {} catch (Throwable t)
    reset (); This is a method of myself
    }
    }

    }

    The funny thing is that I tried the same code with a MIDlet and it works well in Nokia and Sony Ericsson simulators, but Blackberry is locked. I'm missing something here?

    I use Eclipse IDE, BlackBerry JDE component Pack Version: 4.5.0.16 and the Simulator Curve BlackBerry 8300 that come with the JDE.

    I also tried the application in a BlackBerry Pearl Simulator, with the same results

    Any advice will be highly appreciated = (...)

    I found the solution, the problem was that my emulator had no access to the internet, when he tried to connect to the URL and get the .wav file it so never found the source.

    I downloaded Blackberry email and MDS services Simulator package, which allows the internet connection for the simulators, and it worked!

    I could connect to the URL and play the .wav

  • simple code help with streaming 1 file

    I created the Flash Media Server 2.0 on Windows (test box) under the dl35.tamu.edu of the host (behind a firewall, so I don't mind giving it)
    Under the application directory, I create a directory named test
    In this directory I place a flash called motion.flv film
    In this same directory, I copy the main.asc that comes with Flash 8 software
    I load the application of 'test' and use _definst_ as instance name

    In Flash Professional 8, I create a new fla called test.fla
    I incorporate a movie and use the ClearOverAll.swf as the skin for the film.
    On the settings tab I have change the path of advanced content to rtmp:"//dl35.tamu.edu/test/_definst_/motion.flv
    I have test produces the HTML and indeed the server indicates a connection even if nothing is playing.

    This is probably where I'm more confused, but I could have done something wrong with the above as well. I'm not a Flash programmer, I'm a network guy. All I want to do is the bare minimum in the simplest form of streaming. I couldn't find examples of code that worked including the tutorial on the Adobe site (which seems to be fairly widespread). Search in other examples I "think" I found what I wanted, but apparently I don't implemented it correctly or not what I need after all and I would like someone to check. Here it is the action script that I found that I placed in the test.fla. Is it bad to do?

    NC = new NetConnection();
    NC. Connect ("rtmp://dl35.tamu.edu/test/_definst _");

    NS = new NetStream (nc);
    my_video.attachVideo (NS);
    ns.setBufferTime (0);
    NS. Play ("test");

    Is the above correct? Given names, again, what needs to be changed. Also should this same go here? Is it supposed to be in a file by itself action script? In any case when this product in html format, there are several errors:

    * Error * scene = scene 1, layer = Layer 1, frame = 1:Line 16: statement must appear in the onClipEvent/Manager
    NC = new NetConnection();

    * Error * scene = scene 1, layer = Layer 1, frame = 1:Line 17: statement must appear in the onClipEvent/Manager
    NC. Connect ("rtmp://dl35.tamu.edu/test/_definst _");

    * Error * scene = scene 1, layer = Layer 1, frame = 1:Line 19: statement must appear in the onClipEvent/Manager
    NS = new NetStream (nc);

    * Error * scene = scene 1, layer = Layer 1, frame = 1:Line 20: statement must appear in the onClipEvent/Manager
    my_video.attachVideo (NS);

    * Error * scene = scene 1, layer = Layer 1, frame = 1:Line 21: statement must appear in the onClipEvent/Manager
    ns.setBufferTime (0);

    * Error * scene = scene 1, layer = Layer 1, frame = 1:Line 22: statement must appear in the onClipEvent/Manager
    NS. Play ("test");

    Total ActionScript errors: 6 reported errors: 6

    Goal: All I want to do is stream 1 file... only 1. I have no way of knowing if this server works before taking this simple step. It would be nice is Adobe delivered out of the box streaming samples like all other servers continuously, we support do. But I digress. Any help is appreciated beyond all means I can transmit properly including a working example of code package that I can change just a few lines then I can understand what is happening.

    Imstamu, I'm relatively new to myself, but I noticed a few things in your message that I wanted to comment. First, you come up with the error messages can be the result of putting the actionscript code in the video object itself, rather than in the scenario for the main SWF movie. What I think that you can do is put the actionscript code in a layer called 'Actions' in the main timeline, select the keyframe for that layer 1 frame and put the ActionScript in this key frame. If you put in the video object (or another object such as a button, etc.), you can get errors of the type you declare (at least it happened to me). However, as shown below, you may not need as actionscript at all.

    Second, you can try placing a directory under the 'test' directory called 'streams', another directory called "_definst_" under the "streams" directory and put the FLV file in the _definst_ directory. This is where FMS is looking for the files to stream, if I understand correctly. (It appears from your description that you have placed the FLV file directly below 'test'). To test level * is * the right place for main.asc, like you did. IMPORTANT: Regarding the path that you use in the variable contentPath in the video player object, the path for the directory in fact holding the FLV file must * always * be rtmp://dl35.tamu.edu/test/_definst_/motion.flv, as you have done - that is to say, "broadcasts" should not be included in the contentPath variable. Don't ask me why, but it worked for me. The reason why the server is showing a connection is that you put a directory 'test' in the right place and so entered the application from the point of view of the FMS, but you don't have the FLV file in the right place, and SGF therefore cannot find the FLV file in the path that you specified.

    Third, using the FLVPlayback component in the swf file? (By the way that you use one of the Flash skins canned, looks like it is the case.) If so, and if you are just streaming a movie, you don't need to worry about the code to open a new NET connection, new netstream, etc - all this is integrated in the FLVPlayback object. So all you have to do is put in the RTMP path to the file - rtmp://dl35.tamu.edu/test/_definst_/motion.flv--dans the contentPath for the FLVPlayback object variable. you need not code opening the NetConnection and NetStream objects.

    I hope it's useful. As mentioned, I'm pretty new myself, but I was able to stream files successfully using FMS, FLV and Flash.

  • ClassCastException on Manager.createPlayer problem with DataSource

    I run the code BufferedPlayback (JDE 4.7.0) example loading a local file (LimitedRateStreamingSource to the source of data):

    final LimitedRateStreamingSource source = new LimitedRateStreamingSource("file:///store/home/user/test/test.wav");
    source.setContentType("audio/x-wav");
    final Player player = Manager.createPlayer(source);

    but when I create the player a ClassCastException is thrown.
    Search with google I found this method performs a cast to CommonDataSource, and this leads to the exception (http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/forum/showthread.php?t=113902).

    I can't figure out how to solve this problem... someone has any advice?

    LimitedRateStreamingSource in this example expects a HTTP URL.  When you use it with a file:/// URL a FileConnection is returned by the Connector.open call, which triggers a ClassCastException.

    You will need to modify the example to use a FileConnection instead of a ContentConnection.

    Hello im using Windows 7 (64-bit).

    Also in my computer > network > Network Center and shares settings > advance change sharing settings >
    discovery of network and file sharing are turned off.

    But today, when I opened my wmp (internet disconnected at this time), I saw the name of an unknown person/user/computer, under the option "other libraries" WMP. After a few minutes, it disappeared from the list. But after a few minutes, a few other names appeared.

    By unknown user/person/computer, I mean people who do not live in our House, but are on the same network (where I am)

    Im a little worried here. Can PCs/unknown users connect to my system or they can access my support if they appear in my wmp, even though my file sharing or streaming media is off? Help, please.

  • BlackBerry smartphones without media work of Desktop Manager Options

    I got my Blackberry in November. Recently, I decided to add music, but I keep getting media file is corrupted. I uninstalled Office Manager, downloaded the latest version and reinstalled (including the Media Manager). I did all the updates as well. I always get a corrupted file. So I decided to use the option to synchronize with iTunes. Who says that I have to use an administrative access. But when I use admin access, the phone connects to the desktop.

    In my quest for answers, it seems there is a HUGE problem and its annoying that there is no tech support (without pay) for something that should work.

    Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions, I'd like to hear it.

    I had already installed, uninstalled, downloaded the latest version and installed the Manager of office without success. When I connect my phone via USB this register as its connected, but when I use Explorer to find the drives, the drive is there, but what it says "insert disc". So I removed and used SD reader.

    However, I checked and it seems that the mass storage option is "off". Turn worked to connect the phone to USB and find the storage disk. Thank you!

  • Can not disable Streaming Media for guest account

    I've disabled the guest account on my machine to windows 7 Home premium (64-bit).  However, the guest account always appear as my Playstation 3 streaming media.  If I turn on (enable) the guest account and log in there on the computer, I can see that streaming media is indeed enabled in Advanced Network Configuration but it is not clear up to turn it off (I think because the guest account has limited administrative rights).

    I thought that disable the guest account using the configuration management screen turns off default accounts, but that is not the case for media sharing.

    Does anyone know a way to disable it manually?

    Thank you!

    I did thorough testing, but I had the first success with the following text:

    2. Delete the "Media Player" folder in c:\users\guest\appdata\local\microsoft
      (Or move it, if you want to be able to restore)
    3. Reset

    When I try to install Media Streaming on Win 7 Home Premium 64 - bit, using Control Panel/Network Sharing Center/Media Streaming Options, I find the following strange problem.  The "show devices on:" drop-down list has no content and does not allow me to select anything.  On my Win 7 wife's computer, this dropdown allows of me selcet is "all networks" or "local networks".  I discovered this error when I bought an XBox 360 and setup of Windows media Center on it.  Windows Media center on the XBox can connect to my PC and play all the music in my library of music through Media Center, but the XBox can't find my pc on the network using the music library or picture library.  My PC does not list the XBox when I "see the network computers or devices", but nor does my wife's PC.

    I am confused as to how my XBox has been so easily connected to my PC and continues to work perfectly in the application of the XBox, Windows Media Center, and still fails to find my PC or browse its contents through its other music/photo/media applications.

    I have no problem connecting to XBox Live or on the internet.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

    Follow the steps described in the links below: reading your media to devices and computers using Windows Media Player: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Stream-your-media-to-devices-and-computers-using-Windows-Media-Player

    Change settings for streaming media in Windows Media Player: http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-settings-for-streaming-media-in-Windows-Media-Player

    Also, you can try to temporarily disable anti-virus and check if you can get the opportunity to play and play on your Play Station 3.

    Share you must have under 'Network and Internet' a 'homegroup' set in place with share pictures etc. with controlled devices. You must also have under 'Network and Media Center' 'share with media devices' network Local set to "allow all". You can easily access these via WMP12, if you look under the drop down menu "share", it's the two base units, just select those to go to the relative Panel.

    All the media you want to share must be stored in the folder 'Libraries' relative to the topic. For some reason, videos are available to select the "folders" on the PS3, if you select 'All videos' only the recorded TV shows samples sample wtv file, which

    It will be useful.
